Inconsistent Communications by front-desk staff, Appalling kennel facilities, Sky-high prices, Long Wait times, Incompetent employees. It is with a sinking heart that my own neighborhood vet cares so little for the well-being of my dog and has no sense of urgency in recommending solutions to her care. Reasons for my URGENT APPEAL TO EVERYONE in Northern Durham County to NOT use this vet:
1) INCONSISTENT COMMUNICATIONS: Miscommunication of front desk and technical staff they charge you more for expedited services even though you are a loyal, paying and on time customer. They promise you service if you pay more but then do not provide the service.
2) UNCARING STAFF: They never learn your dog's name or gender.
3) UNKIND TECHNICIANS and VETS: They are not kind to you if you have a large dog. Techs and Doctors alike will criticize you if you have a hyper, high-energy dog.
4) INCOMPETENT FRONT DESK STAFF: If you are due a refund, the incompetent front desk staff will charge you and demand to see your bank statement because you have to prove it was not refunded.
5) APPALLING KENNEL. Dogs are not kept in an air-conditioned facility. It is dirty, grimy and not well-ventilated. No windows, hard concrete floor, filthy. Dogs are only let out twice a day!!
6) PREPARE TO WAIT ALL DAY OR SEVERAL DAYS DESPITE YOUR PET'S EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: Expect to wait a long time to see the vet. You will spend 30-40 mins congregating at the front desk (where it's unlikely you will even be greeted) then spend 20 with a technician who provides no insight, only takes notes until you have to wait again before you see a Vet.
7) OVER PRICED. You will actually save money and your sanity if you go straight to an Emergency Pet Hospital, instead of trying to make an appointment at NorthPaw and sit through the wait that will result
8) THEY LIE TO YOU. They will charge you more for expedited services then tell you, you were mistaken to believe them.
Please do not support this clinic or the employees therein. It is upsetting when our pets are our children that we have to experience such uncaring, detached and duplicitous staff.
