I have been taking my pets to Central Animal hospital for around 15 years now. I've seen several vet changes through the years, and they all have done great work and have been very helpful. I've only had one visit with the current vet, and he helped solve the problem we were having with a newly-adopted shelter kitten who wouldn't eat. The staff here is phenomenal. Period. They're always friendly, attentive, and compassionate. It's clear that they love animals, and they have always been great about doing whatever is needed to make my pets feel comfortable (as much as possible at a doctor's office!) and safe . At times, they have gone far beyond what I would have expected to help us with our pets. While the office stays reasonably busy, you seldom have a long wait. Exam rooms are almost always readily available upon my arrival, so my pets have never had to be in a crowded waiting area around other animals with whom they aren't familiar. Read Less

The staff at this veterinarian office is extremely helpful and kind. The vet was like any dr. For man or animal that I have ever met. He was in a hurry acting like he wanted to get out of there and I was the first office visit of the day. I am going to come back again hopefully he will be in a better mood and feel more like talking. Maybe he is just not a morning person I went there because there were so many good reviews that's why I want to give it another try. Because the reviews did not hold up to the way things really were when I got there. I chose this animal hospital based on their google reviews. Excellent vet. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Brought my Boxer in after I found a mass on her. She had it removed and was spayed at the same time, Dr. Herman explained everything well and even called the next morning to check on her. She is recovering well. Price was very reasonable. Staff were very kind and helpful, even gave my boy a towel treated with hormones to ease his anxiety. The vet actively listened to me and asked good questions during the patient interview. Best place to take you vet! they provide the best care and make sure you leave educated about you pet and their health. They are so pleasant to work with and they love and care for your pet like it is their own! They also are very patient and work with your dogs needs. I was referred to Dr. Gross by a neighbor and I was so pleased with the care she showed my boxer Bubba. This was the third vet in Fayetteville that I had taken him to because I knew there was something more going on with him than his hypothyroidism. Dr. Gross took her time with Bubba and gave him a gentle and thorough examination. After feeling his back where his spine is located and listening to all of his symptoms, she thought he might have Spondylosis. After a quick x-ray,... her guess was proven true. The first two vets I went to did not even consider this or make any mention of this condition. She showed me his x-rays and the problems in his spine. She carefully went over all the treatment options for me and was very kind and sweet to my dog. She also did not try to have me get unnecessary tests done on my dog like the other vets did. The whole staff at Central Vet was wonderful. The vet tech was very warm and friendly and so was the receptionist. You can tell that these people really have a passion for animals and that this is not just a job to them. This kind of treatment and care make such a difference to myself and Bubba and I will continue getting him cared for here. I'm so glad I found a trustworthy vet in this area. Absolutely amazing. I am currently fostering four kittens and they needed their first round of vaccines, not only did they have the best prices but they also helped my sick kitten. I paid 134 all together for everything and my sick kitten has bounced right back to happy and healthy. Last but most certainly not least, the people who work here are angels. You can genuinely tell that they're working in this job field for their love of animals not for the money. I've never had a vet actually educate me on what certain viruses are and how they work or explained to me exactly what they would be doing before charging me for it. Thankful I found a place where I can take both of my large breed dogs together by myself. It's always a hassle for me to bring both my dogs out anywhere, as they are less well behaved when together. The staff offered to help me with holding the dogs since they were going a little bit crazy pulling on their leashes. They were very kind and understanding during the exam and spent extra time allowing my dogs to get familiarized and comfortable with the procedures. What a great staff. My cat developed an abscess after a fight. They got us in quick, Dr. gross did a physical exam, and determined surgery wasn't needed. Rabies booster and oral antibiotics. I have always used Central Animal and recommend them highly. Read Less

My dog Troop is always treated just as well as I am treated at Central Animal Hospital. There are three things I'd like to point out to anyone reading these reviews and debating using Central Animal Hospital; these are Quality of Service, Availability and Staying Informed. Quality: My dog (Troop) has stayed in top health due to an expert staff who goes to great lengths to ensure Troop is throughly examined during her check ups. After her check ups I am always give information of her needs and options to achieve and maintain excellent health of my girl. Availability: I have never had to wait more than a day to get Troop in when it was time for her check ups. I have a terrible memory and the staff will even call the day prior to remind you if needed. Staying Informed: There has never been any hidden costs when Troop has needed any procedure. In the event such as when she had to have a tooth pulled during a cleaning, the Veterinarian stopped and called me to inform me and to get my approval. They as well took pictures to prove to me that it was indeed needed. It's treatment like this and the years of having a happy and healthy dog that I've come to trust the staff at Central Animal Hospital. My dog was attacked (pit bull), He went there for a physical, after the dog with "no teeth" shedded blood. This was the dog attackers vet. Apparently after the attack, he was bleeding. Worst place in fayetteville. They sided with her. I should have of sued. She never had her dog on a leash. Mine was. But yet, she's not responsible for my broken arm bill. He came down with a skin condition where he was bit in the areas, And I constantly have to bath in ketachlor to treat it. He didn't have to use Ketachlor before that fight. Read Less

We have taken our Lab and now cat there for nearly two years. These nurses and Doctors are very knowlegable, likable and what's better are their prices. We use the overnight extended boarding for vacations, cannot find those prices anywhere! Read Less

Do not take your pet here for boarding. I specifically asked not to have my dog bathed upon picking her up she was wet. The lady told me they only bathed her paws and legs, which was untrue because her back was wet. Her fur was missing from her joints which exposed skin that looked as if it was rubbed raw. I have taken all of my dogs here since we moved to town in 1997.  Dr Dalton is an excellent vet.  They always treat my dogs with compassion and perform all the necessary tests.  I have boarded two of my dogs here over the years and they always seem happy and well adjusted.  I can strongly recommend them for both veternary care and boarding. I feel ok about this vet. I don't know that I'd give them a strong recommendation but I wouldn't warn people about them, exactly. I think they pushed me toward some treatment/diet that I don't agree with, but I don't think they were necessarily trying to scalp me. They do push Science Diet prescription food, which isn't my favorite. They did advise me about some generics I didn't know about though, which I appreciate.Basically if I settled on this side of town I would probably continue to use them but if I moved to the other side of Bragg I would probably find a closer vet. Absolute last resort for kennel boarding. The first time I was here, my dog came back fat. She was over-fed. I figured, better too much than too little. The last time I used their kennel, my dog came back strange. She used the restroom inside the house several times (she never, NEVER does this) and behaved in an aloof, lone manner. She just behaved so strange and unhappy. Not like how she is when she comes back from the Cross Creek Animal Hospital kennel. She's better now, but it made me wonder whether she was ever let out of her cage, given any attention, fed properly, or even treated properly. I am willing to bet that my suspicions are true. If you think something is wrong, you're probably right. Go to Cross Creek Animal Hospital instead. Read Less
