Cliffdale Animal Hospital is one of the best animal hospitals around. The only thing I found is they have gone from having to veterinarians to having one. They are passing this on to their patients and making them bring their animals in unnecessarily. I feel like they are doing this trying to recoup the losses in money due to losing one of their vets. I have been very upset about this because vet visit are expensive anyway and having to take the animals in unnecessarily is just ridiculous. After receiving a nasal vaccine my maltipoo started coughing.  The coughing got worse and worse, he became lethargic and weak.  I called cliff dale AH and they got me in the same day.  They were very polite and referred to my dog as my baby(loved that).  She was ready to get me in with in 1/2 an hour due to the nature of the situation but I couldn't get there that soon.  The vet and assistant were so pleasant and understanding.  This is our vet of choice now. Be aware that a severe cough is ALWAYS an emergency situation.  Don't wait like I did thinking he had something stuck in his throat that would dislodge and take care of it's self.  My second dog ended up sick too.  They took her the same time as well.  They were both still eating and drinking but I could of lost both of them.  DO NOT Wait if your dog develops a severe cough!!!!  The visit was around 150. For both dogs, four medications and an antibiotic shot.  I think that's pretty awesome for an emergency situation. Read Less

The doctor and staff were excellent. My skipper a 5 pound Chihuahua was attacked by my neighbors 4 dogs. The doc took very good care of my baby, she knew how to take care of him.,I'm so blessed my baby is ok. Ty again. Read Less

I went here only because it was an emergency, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it's an unfriendly environment that will charge you for anything and everything to include the disposal of needles, I have never been charged for so many small things ever when going to a vet, also I have never been to a vet that needed an assistant to help with even a cat, that was so odd to me. I advise finding a family owned vet with a warmer welcome than this one, safe to say I hope this helps prevent anyone from spending money there unless it's an emergency and no one else is available then I guess this place will do. More expensive for vaccinations than other places, and they charge you a $34 wellness exam EVERY time you bring your pet there. I told them I didn't want a wellness exam since she was just at the vets, but they charged me anyways. I will be taking my 3 dogs else where. Read Less

Came in with my highly temperamental Siberian Husky and the staff was very accommodating. This put me at ease during his visit. It was his first visit here and compared to the other vet he went to, Dr. Valenti was very thorough. She took the time to go over my dog's health with me instead of just 'giving an ok' like his other vet did. I'll be returning in the future. Read Less

This vet might be great for dogs, but there is little doubt in my mind that she hates cats. I changed vets years ago when she started making me leave the room when treating my cat. I know she muzzled him and there was no chance of her or anyone else getting bit. She became enraged when he evacuated his bowels from fear. If you are a cat owner, BEWARE and I know I can't mention the name, but there is a small clinic not far that is FAR SUPERIOR. It is near an elementary school; go there and you will NEVER even consider another vet. People drive from out of state when they move to see him. Read Less

They are the best vet we've ever been to, they have taken such great of our kitties and when one was at the end of life, they handled the whole process with such great care and respect and made a very difficult time a little bit easier. We have a German Shepherd and 3 cats (and some chickens too) and the folks at Cliffdale Animal Hospital are nothing short of terrific in their willingness to help and abilities to heal. Our GSD has been a patient with CAH his entire life. From basic care, boarding and grooming, he was always very well taken care of and the staff always greets him with smiles and lots of love. Our dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer and Dr. Valenti and the staff have been amazing with any question or concerns we have about how to make Monty's last weeks as comfortable and happy as possible. Losing a pet is very difficult, but we know the folks at CAH will be there for us and Monty if we ever need anything. That really means a lot. Read Less

I have called around and compared prices on shots and different procedures, and they are by far the most reasonable. We recently moved across town and there are several vets which are closer, but the longer drive is well worth the quality of care we receive and the money we save at Cliffdale Animal Hospital.
