I carried my cat here to get checked for a lump in her neck. When I opened the door that should have been a sign that I should have left by the odor!! It smelled like a 100 cat boxes that had not been changed in a month! She checked my cat and drew fluid from the area and said it was an infection, that lumps don't shrink!! Diagnosed her wrong. Being a vet as long as she has should have known it was CANCER!! Sent me home with amoxicillin to take. After 8 days of her not getting better carried her to another vet! The vet told me it was Cancer and she lasted only 3 days as I could not watch my precious RuntRunt suffer anymore. I had to make the choice to put her down! WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN!! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I strangely acquired a cat with the recent purchase of a home. The cat had previously been taken to this location as I found out on some old medications. I made an annual checkup appointment not realizing what I was signing up for. I explained throughly to the receptionist and vet. That I had just acquired the cat who had not been seen in 2 years and wanted to be sure everything was checked as he had been semi unattended for 8 months and outside for the majority of the time. On the first visit the office smelled overwhelmingly of urine. I understand it is an animal hospital but I have never smelled one as bad as this place. The vet didn't check the stool and mentioned his ears were dirty but no major concern. I returned 1 month later on a last minute visit as the cat had a large bubble inside his ear. They drained and stitched his ear and told me (in addition to the bubble)  he now had an infection in both ears. I feel this could have been addressed had his "dirty" ears (with no prior concern) been throughly checked when I brought him 1 month earlier. Now 5 days after that procedure my cat has a significant amount of blood in his stool. When I contacted the vet with concern on this and asked why these things were not checked on the annual checkup I was told it was my responsibility to provide a stool sample yet it was never mentioned before or after the appointment. I requested they pull the records and when I return to have the stitches removed I would be picking up his records and seeking another vet. The receptionist told me I should just find someone else to remove his stitches. I questioned why they wouldn't finish what they started since I was going to collect his records anyway and she started to speak very unprofessionally to me. I ensured her I would be picking up the records, finding another facility, and letting social media know what kind of establishment they are running there. She like a child said oooohhh post it on social media. This place is A JOKE!!! Stay as far away from here as possible. If they treat people like this I can't imagine how they treat the animals that can't speak. Read Less

Made the decision to switch to a different vet because of how unprofessional Cleveland Community Animal Hospital has been.  Apparently, they have one person who runs the kennel, the front desk and serves as the vet tech.  See photo of an actual text exchange between said person. Sounds horribly inefficient, doesn't it?  You are forced to leave voicemail after voicemail and communicate via text message.  Call me old fashioned, but I'd like to speak to an actual person when it comes to getting important test results back.  It takes them ages to get back with you, if at all.  We were looking for the warmth and personal feel of a smaller vet's office, but all we got was ignored.  Having spent the last 15 years in customer service, I'm a firm believer in trying to bring my grievances to the appropriate person in charge first, before taking to an online forum, however, in this case, as you can see from the photo of our text conversation, all I got was snark.  I doubt they would have returned my phone call anyway. Stay away - far away - from this animal hospital! If it was possible to give zero stars I would! We took our 15 year old jack russell to this vet after numerous health concerns on our part. We went in knowing that his time may be near - whether naturally or by euthanasia - but we needed to seek medical advice from someone who we thought we could trust. After making the appointment for 4:30, we get a phone call at 2 PM the same day of appointment saying that they got "really busy" and to not come in until 5:30. Weird, but okay. At this point we just needed to speak to someone. We show up at the appointment at 5:30, and sat for 45 minutes. Finally after waiting we got called to the exam room. The doctor walks in - Dr Mastafiak - and asks what is going on with our dog. Mind you our dog is on the floor in the exam room. We tell her what is going on and she simply says "it sounds like you are trying to make a case for euthanasia." As this is something we were expecting to hear, we were waiting for an exam to see if there was anything else that could help our dog. Not only did the doctor never even touch our dog, but she said that he "looked fine" because he was wagging his tail back and forth - which we didn't know that was a professional practice of medical expertise. Then she proceeds to tell us that she wasn't going to "play God" because our dog was "in the way". Needless to say, we left with our dog because at that point, we did not trust this doctor or anyone in this medical practice with him, considering she didn't even give him a thorough exam. We told her we were leaving and she said "fine" and simply walked out. After returning home in hysterics, we noticed on their website closing time was at 6:00pm. She didn't want to take the time to help us - she wanted to go home and get us out of her office as quickly as possible. Since this event occurred, we found a loving and compassionate vet who gave our dog an exam and said he is clearly suffering. He was put down as per the recommendation of the vet and we miss him everyday, but we feel so much better that he was in the hands of compassionate people and NOT this veterinary hospital. Like most people we have had unpleasant experiences other places - restaurants, for examples - that we never really felt the need to express how our experiences were. However in this situation, we were left so traumatized that we felt we needed to leave a review. Please, do NOT go to this vet and support a business that would treat an animal and their owners like this! Read Less

I initially loved this vet... she treated my dogs with kindness and was gentle, however her "vet assistant" was always cold and standoffish. They take AT LEAST a day to return all phone calls which I was willing to overlook at first. It took 4 months to receive by rabies tags. The tipping point was this experience: I had received a written prescription for Trifexis from her and ordered the medication online for my pets. CCV would not verify it to the online company. I called to ask them to do so and I received attitude about their policy for not working with this online company. "How should I know what you're thinking" ... I took a deep breath and proceeded to explain that being told beforehand or having that information on the printed paperwork would help future clients not have this problem, however the "vet assistant" HUNG UP on me. I went to explain my displeasure with the disrespect and the vet made excuses, "This is not the first time." She ALSO did not ask the girl to apologize to me. Bottom Line: UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!
