We came in to get $30 dollars worth of rabies shots and left with a $400 bill, with an additional quote for a $700+ dental procedure. A bit of sticker shock, but the place has been good to us and we did accept the services we paid for (we weren't forced to!) Friendly staff with plenty of treats for the pets. I enjoy bringing Harley to Total Bond and he enjoys it to. They always give him treats, take pictures and play with him. Dr. Epstein is always very professional, informative and spends time with you and your pet. If there are test required he explains the test, the reason for the test, and the results as they pertain to treatment. I have also been taken back to view the results of the test. My husband and I are new to North Carolina. And had a tragic incident happen To us. We had been given two very sick puppies that sadly died in our care. They were 9 weeks old and never been vaccinated or dewormed. I had them for one day in my house before they got sick and didn't get better so by the second day I brought them to Dr. Mark and he tried his best to give me all I could possibly need to help my puppies have a better chance. Sadly the condition was too severe and my poor babies passed on anyway. To make matters worse, they passed on what they had to my baby boy that is 9 months and he got very sick also. The very next day I took him to Dr.Mark and he helped my dog recover. He was very honest and sincere about the possible outcomes. Once again he gave me everything I needed for home care and as a team we brought back my baby boy to the healthy perky loving pitbull he is. They knew my transportation situation is complicated so they delivered his second batch of medicine to my home. He is not completely 100% better but my hopes are very high.  :) I appreciate everything they did for me and my dogs and he has officially become our family veterinarian. My husband and I recently brought our scruffy, older, suddenly sick dog to see Dr. Epstein. I wish I could share that my dog recovered and got better; however, I can't. But what I can tell you is that I felt my dog was in good hands and received the finest care possible by a caring, kind, and intelligent man and his wonderful staff. My dog Beau passed away in my arms after a great attempt to get him well. There were so many positives that we experienced with the loss of our little soldier. Although we are filled with sadness, we could not be more pleased with the care and compassion our dog received AND us as a family. We are filled with joy that our dog is not suffering and he is at peace in heaven. I have been a customer almost ten years through two aged cats (with all the problems that comes with age) and a new rescue dog (Bailey, now 8) who has had more than his share of problems. Our Bull Terrier, Bullet, is receiving chemotherapy for lymphoma at Total Bond Forestbrook. Every person on the staff has been amazingly knowledgable, attentive and kind to him and to us. They do call- back checks to be sure he is doing ok at home and are available to us 24/7. Our dogs are family to us, and Bullet can't wait to go so he can "wash" Dr. Epstein's face! We've had our Lhasa Apso for 13+ years now & this is where he gets all of his check ups & such. Ace is his name & we spoil him to death.As for this vet, it's nothing special but gets the job done. Everyone here is really nice & seem to love their jobs. Like most doctors/dentists/vets/etc. when you go for your scheduled appointment, even when you're on time you'll have to wait. And that doesn't change here because even though you may be taken back to the room at your designated time, the doctor takes a good 10 min to get to you. I've never understood this about places like this where you have appointments. It boggles my mind that they can be late to see you, but if you're late then uh-oh. But even with this added time, they get you in & out as quickly as possible without too much hassle.As for the boarding aspect of this vet, I just don't like it. We used to take Ace here when we went on trips, but it just got so expensive that we now just take him to friends/family's houses. Along with that, it just seems like there isn't enough room for all of the animals to get good exercise while they're here. The outside area isn't that large but if you have a lazy dog then I guess that's fine.So Forestbrook is a nice, local neighborhood vet that will treat your animal well. You should be able to get in & out of here pretty quickly for all of your check ups. As for boarding though, it's just too expensive for my family & doesn't seem worth the price. Read Less
