I'm a fan of the doctors, not the front desk.After being an office manager for 3+ years, I have so little tolerance for poorly run waiting rooms. Patients are more likely to wait patiently if you are upfront with them about wait times, and occasionally check in with them. It's not rocket science, people. It's courtesy. Also, don't tell people that you have walk-in hours form 2-4pm if you are actually going to fill that time with multiple appointments and shove your walk-ins to the bottom of the list. This is common sense.Proper flow and communication makes happier, return customers. Ignoring the patient you stuck at the bottom of the list does not. I just sat for almost two hours while an entire waiting room that arrived after me was ushered into appointments before me, and no one took the time to update me on wait times or why I was put at the bottom of the list until I was ready to walk out. I trust them totally to not try and oversell procedures or products, but to honestly tell me what’s best for my pets. They've  given us the some of best vet care we've ever received, and helped us to get last minute things done that we've needed desperately on the same day, which is really important to us!  The office staff is so sweet, friendly and helpful and the office is sooo clean and orderly looking, that's important to me!   Although everyone seems to be extremely nice there, Dr. Redding is my favorite.  He's the epitome of professional, so extremely thorough, answers all my questions with patience and concern, and seems like he cares about my horses and about his customers a lot!!!  I highly recommend making this where you take your pets, because it's hands-down the best!!  They also have mobile vet care which is an extra and it's pretty reasonably priced considering.I wish there was a rating above five stars because this veterinarian practice would so deserve it!!!! Took my 5 month old fainting billy goat for emergency treatment after being attacked by a dog, but Dr. REDDING would not stitch up the 3 most horrible wounds of all the wounds my goat had.... 2 puncture wounds in the throat (deep into the windpipe) and a 2-3 inch opening in their hip where the bones were being exposed. Not very thorough and I had to have Dr. Wilkins at Elon Animal Hospital euthanize him today. Dr. Wilkins told me even if my goat survived he would have had respiratory issues due to not being sewn up. Tri County just took our money that night, maybe because it was at midnight......$259 worth. I'll never go back there again. My goat could have been saved if Dr. Redding had sewn his wounds up. I recently had to make the hardest decision we can make as pet owners, and had to say goodbye to my boy Trip. Whatever was wrong with him took over his body so quickly that I didnt have time to react until he could no longer walk. He had been to Tri-County for most of his life. They were so gentle and gave us all the time we wanted. They explained and re-explained everything they had to do, while they were doing it. And the best part is, my boy had his final breath in a place that he was comfortable in. He wagged his tail the entire time we were there, and was fed plenty of cookies by the staff. Way over priced compared to other vets we've used around the country. Maybe their prices are typical for the area? Our main concern though was the way the vet spoke to us as if we were uneducated. Maybe that's what she's used to dealing with but it certainly didn't make us want to come back! Read Less

The doctors and staff at Tri-County are awesome. I took my long time beloved furry family member Zip to Tri-County Veterinary Service for nearly the entire time i had her, including when I ultimately had to let her go. They have always been very caring and compassionate. I now have an awesome new puppy in my life and she will have all of her Medical needs met at Tri-county as well. I have recently moved to Snow Camp and my 2 Mini Dachshunds needed their annual physical. My daughter recommended Tri-County Vet and I am so happy that she did. Both Gretchen and Abbe had a very experience during their check up. Usually they are nervous and shy, but they both ate their treats and gave kisses to Melody. My family and I have taken all of our pets here for more than 10 years. Prices are unbeatable, compared to Chapel Hill vet office prices. I just had an emergency with my cat and was able to drop him off before the vet opened. I trust the staff completely, and know any animal I bring in will be in great hands. The staff has always been so kind and understanding- they called me throughout the day with updates. I cannot thank Tri County enough for their service throughout the years, I highly recommend them if you are searching for a new vet! Read Less

The staff is great. It's the price that i can't handle. Because of the cost for 1 out of my 10 furry babies, the other 9 can't get sick nor can i get anything for prevention. Plus I'll be eating ketchup sandwiches for a few months. Makes me miss my vet in Florida, at least they worked with people that had multiple pets. Read Less

I love everything about this vets office except the cost. I'm either going to have to find one that will offer discounts for having 10 furry babies or I'll have to stop taking them for certain maintenance visits. I hate even thinking that but can't afford this vet for much longer. Unless you have money, it's not a vet that helps much if you're poor. Read Less

Molly is an amazing and very loveable dog who just had some bad luck. Just after her first birthday she had been diagnosed with an ulcer in her right eye. After talking with doctor up in Pittsburgh, for months, where she lives we reached out to family and they recommended TCVS. I called them and got an instant response to bring her in and start figuring out what needed to be done. I brought Molly down with to visit my family and to get checked out and the timing was perfect. Dr. Wells took one look at her and we got started on getting Molly taken care of. Minutes after the appointment Molly was on her way in to surgery due to cancellations earlier in the day. The vets had nothing but amazing stuff to say about how well and how loving Molly was. They took amazing care over her and they were very affordable. It is definitely true when they say that country vets are the most caring. I have goats and all 12 are pets. I had 2, Amigo, that could not urinate. All the vets around here in Sanford could not/would not help me. I called Tri- County in my vehicle and took him there. I was thrilled with the outcome. Dr. Reddick called today to see how he is doing. Everyone was so nice, professional and caring. Even though it is 30 miles away , it was well worth effort. Great experience!!!!! Unfortunately, a day after I posted this our goat took a turn for the worst and on our way to get him to Tri- County he died.Dr. Reddick was getting a team ready to help and it was on a Sunday. I never be able to thank them enough for my boy. He was a feral rescue, we've got themom and his brother. He was in terrible condition when she first brought him to us. He had such a severe upper respiratory infection that we didn't think he'd live. Fast forward just over a year. We've been teying to get him neutered for a while but because he had a severe heart murmur no one wanted to touch him. The lady with the low cost spay/neuter spent a long time making calls tring to.find someone to help. She located Tricounty Vet. My daughter took him this morning to be neutered. He was also placed on heart medication and wr are on the path to getting him the help he needs to live a longer life. I was seriously injured at work and eventually lost my job so my daughter has been supporting us. This cat is so to us. He is blind with a heart murmur but he is the most loving, inquisitive, and smartest cat. We eventually got the feral mom, who is no longer feral. We may have rescued the cats but Tricounty Vet has rescued us. For this we are eternally grateful and I won't be taking mine anywhere else.Read Less
