Best vet/animal hospital I have ever been to! The staff and doctors are so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have brought my 10 year old Yorkshire terrier here twice so far, and every visit has been wonderful! Dr. Cronogue was extremely personable, patient, and friendly. He was thorough with my dog's examination and talked to me in a relaxed, not rushed manner. Elizabeth and Chrissy in reception were very helpful, organized, timely, and caring. I had to bring my two year old son with me to both appointments and they both went out of their way to help keep him entertained and happy while I was talking to the vet assistant and paying my bill. They also helped me with rebates for heartworm medicine and saved me money. Rhonda, a vet technician, was very kind and loving to my dog. She held and soothed her anxiety with calming words and actions. She answered any question I had in a very patient and knowledgeable manner. Rhonda took the time to estimate and break down the cost of a teeth cleaning procedure that my dog needs in the future that I was concerned about. She walked me out to my car and assisted with my dog, son, and items I bought. Very sweet lady! Then, when I got home, Rhonda followed up on our visit with a phone call checking on my dog and her reaction to the vaccines she received and gave me more info on another question I had had in the office. When I inherited my sons, big dog, thats what we called her, we didnt think shed live too very long. You see she was a rescue dog and a Neapolitan Mastiff with lots of congenital problems. But she must have had a huge heart, because with the help of Dr. Cronogue and all of Rajas girl friends at Eastern Shore she lived just past nine years. She used to pull me into the Hospital excited to be there. Even on that last day she knew she was going to be helped. BEST VET EVER!! We have been taking our pets there since 1995 and have always had excellent care. We recently lost our old girl Ariel after 14+ years of excellent care and their kindness and compassion helped get me through the toughest time I could ever have imagined. I would not take my furbabies any where else ~ I have 4 pugs and one has seizures which I keep a journal on and "Aunt Darlene" is always on top about his seizures to tell Dr. C. When I walk into ESAH I feel like I am walking into a friends home ~ You hear laughter ~ kind words ~ information about care of your baby. Then Dr. C is always on top on the new procedures ~ and he takes the time to explain in english what the problem is and how to help him cure the problem. Your furbabies are treated like they belong to the staff ~ treated with respect ~ loving hands and touch ~ caring~ love ~ and even Toby who can be a bit mischievous at times.. The staff works hard and I could go on and on about each one but not enough room. Sum it all up ESAH ROCKS !!! I have had my pets as patients here for 10 plus yrs, today 1-17-11 I had/have a emergency with my bulldog, he has an abcess in his ear that burst thru the back of his ear, so I called for advice and to see if while work is slow I could bring him in on a payment plan, after 10 yrs I was told they dont have payment plans and that I should find another vet that does, that they dont offer advice on the phone would only see him on a 45.00 charged office vist on top of any diagnosis/treatment. my pets have always been like my kids and thought DR. Cronogue was their family doctor. terribly disappointed to find out otherwise in a momont of need. Read Less
