Animal Clinic Of Friendly Center

Greensboro, North Carolina
General Info
The Animal Clinic of Friendly Center Greensboro’s veterinary team monitors how the animal behaves and where it directs its attention, the kind of comfort the pet seeks, and how long it stays tense. Many pet owners in North Carolina sympathize with this rhythm. The initial step to one-on-one interaction frequently occurs in silence. Before approaching for a physical exam, we interpret tail positions along with spatial hesitation and micro-responses. Room lighting and scent are adjusted to prevent startle reflexes. The appointment schedule adheres strictly to the pet’s natural regulatory clock. Some practitioners begin assessments through orthopedic testing, while others start with observational scanning, targeting specific tension patterns. Animal Clinic of Friendly Center offers diagnostic services, lab work, illness intervention, orthopedic support, dermatological care, and oral health treatment for multiple species. The test is stopped when the dog begins to lick its lips and pull away or avert its gaze. Pain indicators such as posture and breath (beyond vocalization) are especially important for stoic animals (e.g., dogs; breeds) and prey species (cats, rabbits) because they do not want to show weakness. The re-acclimation process is supported after the treatment. Families receive detailed briefings concerning potential long-term effects on the child’s behavior and how to notice secondary signs of stress to determine when the need for decompression outweighs other concerns. Home care plans are designed to accommodate a pet’s sensory limitations as opposed to focusing solely on physical improvement milestones. The Animal Clinic of Friendly Center brings a veterinary experience to North Carolina homes by listening to the quiet conversations animal positions and interactions have about comfort, pain, confusion, and calm. Services offered at Animal Clinic Of Friendly Center include: - Radiology (X-rays) - In-House Pharmacy - Grooming - Surgery - Dental Care - Diagnostics - Pocket Pet Care - Orthopedic Surgery - Livestock/Farm Animal Care This range of services ensures that pet owners in Greensboro and the surrounding areas have access to everything they need for their pets, from basic checkups to advanced medical care. The clinic has built a solid reputation in the Greensboro area by offering services that ensure pets’ health and comfort throughout their lives.

My dog has gone here since he was a puppy and because of our amazing experience with Dr Gentry, I have recommended them to many of my friends…except for two very specific incidents (both with Dr Shaw). The absolute most horrible experience. My dog was terrified because of her approach and it was a very chaotic and heartbreaking visit, while I also left feeling terrible because of the insensitive comments by Dr Shaw. The bedside manor is nonexistent. I would still recommend this clinic, but be sure to ask for Dr Gentry. Read Less

Misdiagnosed my cat's DIABETIC NEUROPATHY for ARTHRITIS. A vet tech from another clinic made the correct diagnosis without even examining the cat--all they did was read the exam notes from Animal Clinic of Friendly. Would have made a world of difference to have caught it half a year sooner. Maybe they're better with dogs but don't take your cat there.i suppose it's my fault as this is the second incorrect diagnosis I've gotten there: both nearly killed my cat. Read Less

It has taken a long time for me to write this review because it still hurts my heart to even think about the way my precious tabby was treated.  He was almost 14 and developed kidney problems and had to stay at Friendly for fluids.  He had NEVER been away from me for any time but also had always been a sweet boy at the clinic.  I guess he was frightened about being put in a very small cage (while one of the staff who worked there had her kitties in a larger, comfortable cage while they visited) and scratched and hissed at one of the staff.  He was then shunned.  I came on my lunch hour to visit and he was covered in feces and shaking in the back of the cage.  He started to hiss at me, but then realized it was his mommy.  He was so sick, but his eyes begged me to take him out of there.  The staff advised against it and said he needed more fluids, so STUPIDLY, I left him.  They had even taken away his comfort blanket (they said it needed to be washed).  The next morning, I went and got him against their advice and brought him home.  I began giving him fluids at home, but he just got worse.  A week later, on a Saturday, I knew he was ready and I was being selfish to keep allowing him to suffer so I called the clinic to ask if I could bring him in to have him put to sleep.  When I brought him in, I was so distraught and already in tears.  One of the staff members was already complaining that we needed to hurry it up because they wanted to close and then another explained to me that if he got violent that they would have to stick him again and it would be worse and that they would also have to take him to the back away from me.  I told them that I would help hold him and my precious boy looked up at me and made his choice.  He peacefully left this cruel world with no stuggling at all and my heart broke into pieces and no one in that clinic cared at all.  Please think and investigate before you choose a clinic for your baby and if you feel uncomfortable, TAKE THEM HOME.  I should have at the start.
