If you truly care for the well being of your cats do not take them to this office. Dr. Ho is extremely rude and does not listen to you when you tell her about what is going on with your cat. She has a tendency to talk over you and ignores what you have to say. She treated one of my cats for an issue with inflammation in one of her toes. My cat was put on medication, but the toe never got better. Also, the medication that Dr. Ho put her on caused my cat to develop diabetes. When she was first diagnosed with diabetes Dr. Ho explained to me and my husband that it was caused by her condition, even drawing us a diagram to show us. I later found out that it was due to the medication she put my cat on. When I confronted her about it, she lied to me and my husband and brushed us off. I told Dr. Ho I couldn't afford some of the treatment options she had suggested and she told me that if I didn't follow her treatment plan I may as well go ahead and euthanize my cat. That was it for me. I spent thousands of dollars there, and that is not how you treat the person that is paying your paycheck. I have since taken my cat to another office and found out that she has 2 types of cancer, one that started from the toe that Dr. Ho was supposedly treating. Now my poor 11 year old cat is going to lose an entire leg and her entire tail because of gross neglect and lack of proper care. Thank God I took my cat somewhere else, because now she is getting the proper treatment she needs. I just wonder if Dr. Ho had treated my cat properly to begin with if she would have to be having her entire leg and entire tail amputated right now. Read Less

Dr. Ho is a good with the cats, terrible with customers. She talks a mile a minute and you can barely get a word in edgewise. She seems unduly stressed and really unhappy with her job. Once I started noticing the high turnover of her staff ( all nice people) I realized something was off. The fact that she treats her staff badly and apparently has nothing kind to say about her customers...uh. No. Everytime I drive past her vet office, I surprised to see she is still in business. Great Veterinarian She has take care of four of my cats over the years. She honestly seems to have each cats best interest at heart and will work with you. She is a bit hyper, so don't take it personal. Read Less

Everyone was very nice and very professional. The vet was wonderful with the cat and you can tell that she does really care about the animal. She is very to the point and tells you exactly what you need to know without any extra chit chat. She's there for the cat, not for me, and I can appreciate that. Thank you so much! Read Less

Thorough, compassionate cat care. 15 or more years ago, Dr. Ho was affiliated with another Cat specialist clinic. She was for my 14 cats, a gentle, thorough vet ,who, as part of a team of great vets, especially helped my purebred, neglected/abused rescue Himalayan, Muffin, with many issues relating to bladder & urinary issues, & allergy, ear and chin-skin issues. Years ago, when my timid, extremely old female cat, Tidbit (around 20 yrs. old) told me it was time to go, Dr. Ho, on her own initiative, came to my home, with a voluntary vet technician. There, as directed, I had set up a place for my dear old girl to say goodbye. Old timid Tidbit knew she was going, and rather than panicked and fearful, was compliant and calm, since she was in her home, surrounded by familiar smells and sounds and geography, with no traumatic drive in a carrier to Greensboro. After a day of my doting on her, she was relaxed, and let Dr. Ho gently complete the euthanasia, on a towel on a bedding place, on my cocktail table. (A local family-owned funeral home owner, he himself, came to my home that day and dug a grave for her in my garden and even provided an infant coffin for my Dear Girl!) Dr. Ho has only the highest praise from me. Now, Dr. Ho has her own well-deserved practice for cats. I sought her out for another old girl, Piper (15), who has had "ear issues" for at least ten years. The "other" cat vet treatments were to no avail. Piper has been suffering, clearly, since Monday, so I called Dr. Ho. I am so grateful Dr. Ho took her in, on an emergency basis today (7/14/16)! She was thorough and with her deep experience, was able to help my Piper. I won't go into details, but Piper cannot but feel better as her ears will now heal properly with appropriate treatment. One caveat: My one concern is that my cat is tremulous, that is, trembling intermittently, shivering, twitching, and breathing unevenly...her tail flitches, and flinches or to say her muscles clinch... she is clearly in pain. She cannot rest. Would like to have been sent home with some sort of pain relief for her ears. I was unable to reliably administer her medication to her ears. She screamed and bit me. That has never happened before. Today, I took her in early and the vet tech helped me get the meds into her ears. I now have a protocol of distraction, gentle restraint, and treat rewards that worked well this evening. Got the drops into her ears! Piper is clearly feeling much, much better! Dr. Ho may or may not have her issues as a sole-proprietor and office administrator (re: other comments) but as a vet, she excels. She is experienced, well-trained and educated, and deeply intelligent. She is clear-thinking and able to communicate to this cat-owner, so I understand what is at stake and what I must do. Dr. Ho has cared for three cats for me probably for as long as she's been at Cat Care Hospital. When Kittyboo had suffered long enough, she gave me time to call my kids at UNC Charlotte to drive home to say goodbye. She then met us at the clinic at about 7:30 pm (after hours) & helped us get through our first painful goodbye to our first cat of over 8 yrs. Now that's kindness above and beyond the norm. I adopted two more kitties who were homeless & living at the hospital. Kiki, the feral one, gave me the greatest joy I've ever had with a pet. She had tumors in each lung & rapidly got so sick that I had to go to the 24 hr emergency cat hospital & $1,000 later (one day) they were so relieved that they were releasing her to Dr. Ho's care. I had to again make the hardest decision to let Kiki go. After the passing of each of my babies, I received notes, one from an animal rescue and another from a vet school researching feline cancer, that a donation was made in each cat's name. I was so touched by the thoughtful actions of Dr. Ho. I also received a beautiful basket of flowers when I lost Kiki last Sept. I still have Jasmine left to spoil. I've always enjoyed visits to Cat Care Hospital, we laugh together while she spends ample time for every apptmt. I did notice that there was a new person at the desk pretty frequently, but each person was so sweet & helpful to me. (Thank you for those of you who got fired, I'm sure I'm talking about you.) Dr. Ho is a great veterinarian. However as far as employment goes its horrible. Do not work there. She has ridiculously high expectations and will let you go as soon as she decides you don't meet them. In 4 months I was her 5th employee. The position is a veterinarian assistant but seems to expect a veterinarian technition experience. Future possible employees stay away. Read Less

Dr. Ho is wonderful. We drove 30 miles with 2 sick family members. When I had searched for treatment for FIV, her name was one of two that offered this treatment. My kitty Shirley was not a candidate due to her FIP diagnose, but was given loving treatment until her last days. The other cat finally received the correct treatment for her illness and is doing good with the current meds. I also brought my Tux Rosco, who will be receiving treatment for his thyroid. This is a doctor who takes her time to examine your kitty, and talk to your about the best treatment. Most of all ....she loves cats!! Thanks Dr. Ho and Jill!! Read Less

I found Dr. Ho from searching online for the LTCI treatment for FeLV/FIV for a rescued kitty name Shirley, who had tested positive for both with my vet. He had  not heard of any treatment, and the makers of LTCI had Dr. Ho down as a contact. Sad to say, poor little Shirley had FIP, a disease I had not really heard of. When it came time to say good-bye, Dr. Ho and Jill were so kind and loving . My daughter and I have been so impressed with her attention to the needs of our babies, the time she spends with them, and the  advice that she gives.  We are bringing the rest of our family to this wonderful practice!  Thanks Dr. Ho for everything ! Dr. Ho took care of many of my cats over many years. She is, without a doubt, the best vet I've ever worked with. She explains everything and her passion for our feline babies is unequaled. One evening, after making the decision to put one of my babies to sleep, Dr. Ho stayed with me at her office until early evening, just talking and listening. My saddest day was moving to Raleigh and having to find a vet. I drove back and forth to Greensboro for two years before finally giving up Dr.Ho and Stephanie. This is a cat only vet so the cats get great care. HOWEVER the doctor has serious issues like hating people, bipolar phases, extreme OCD, and severe anger management issues. Working there started off good but soon I saw the other side. Unless you are perfect, can learn everything within a week, read minds, and have a photographic memory --- you will probably be fired or driven to quit. The doctor badmouths former employees as well as most of the clients behind their back. There is no emotional control and the doctors anger will be directed at the employees. The doctor throws temper tantrums, for the slightest of reasons, including if a towel has a crease in it or something is not set in the perfect centimeter position. There is no operations manual. You are supposed to write everything down and use your own phone to take photos. In my entire life, I have never seen any employer, boss, supervisor, or doctor behave this way. Dr. Ho has taken wonderful care of both my cats, seeing them through severe illnesses. She is compassionate and kind. She is very good about explaining recommended treatment and what is best for the feline. As long as I have a cat, that cat will be under Dr. Ho's care. Read Less

If you are looking for employement here RUN dont walk away from this place. I had read on here from 4 years ago about how she is to her employees and how high of a turn-over rate there was, and I ignored it thinking 4 years ago is a very long time. I was very wrong, I lasted about a solid week before she pulled me aside to tell me that I was doing horrible and gave me a list of tasks I had messed up on, and fired me. She doesnt train, even though in the interview she said she would train me since I had no experience in this field. Almost every day she told me she didnt have time to train me, told me to write it down and says she will go over it later in detail but never does. Then if you mess up or ask her a question about it she gives you a sarcastic response and makes you feel incompetent for asking, instead of just teaching you the tasks she wants you to do. Theres a reason this position is open 24/7, and its because of her. The receptionist even told me after two days to see if i could get my old job back, that she is crazy that even a girl with experience who was in college to be a vet quit because of how she is. she drives everyone away, and almost everyone she hires she fires. I tried several vets in the area before we were referred to Dr. Ho. She has been our vet for over 10 years. I have never met a vet with such a passion and understanding of our feline family. She has always been kind, loving and gentle with our cats and professional, compassionate and caring when working with us. We had an elderly cat with many medical problems. She always looked for economical courses of treatment for him and did not put him through the ringer with unnecessary medical tests and procedures like other vets in the area did. If you read any of the unfavorable reviews on here keep in mind, sometimes people put labels on knowledgable confident woman or the demeanor of the Asian culture. As far as price, her office visits are lower than some, higher than others. You get what you pay for. She uses high quality vaccinations (no, not all are made the same, I went to a vet clinic here in Greensboro once to save money and my cats became very ill from the low quality vaccinations). She spends quality focused time on your cat and then follows up with phone calls to make sure your cat is doing well. As far as feedback from former employees, people are always fast to post negative comments but, unfortunately, rarely take the time to post praise. Feeling very "taken advantage of" when I brought my two cats back only for their 2nd vaccine series and got charged for another physical exam when their original exam was only 4 weeks ago. Extremely upset. See my comments below. Read Less

Both our cats had their annual physicals in May. We were charged $49.00 each for their physical along with the cost of vaccinations. Dr. Ho asked us to return 3 weeks later in order to have the second shot for FeLV. When we returned she followed up on the condition of our male's ears as he had a problem at the original exam. She also followed up on both cat's to make sure that the first FeLV shot had not caused any problems. Then each cat got their vaccination. When we were presented the bill, we were charged for ANOTHER Examination at the cost of $38.50 for each cat. The second exam was a follow up and we were told that we were only there to receive the vaccination. The vaccine was $31.00 each also. I am very upset that Dr. Ho would purposely deceive us and feel this practice of charging us again for an exam was just a way to make some extra money. I'd like our $77.00 back. Very upset. The ONLY place I'll take my kitty.   Dr Ho is a compassionate, caring vet.While some other vet's are less expensive, here your cat is made to feellike he or she is the only one.  I had been to other vet's before and was made to feel like cats were second class "citizens" and that dogs were the only creatures that were worthy of good veterinary care. When my Siamese was older and became ill, I took her to the local vetwho advised me to put her to sleep. No explaination of what her problemwas, or options for treatment.  I found out about Dr Ho and she examined her and told me the prognosis and what the options were.  Now my other kitty is elderly and is being treated just like a geriatric human should be.  Since pets should be a committment and part of the family, they deservethe best care you can get for them and I think Dr Ho delivers.
