This is the best vet I have ever been to, both for scheduled appointments and same day issues. For regular check ups, they are always on time and complete the checkup in a timely but thorough manner. Additionally, twice now in the past year they have been able to see my rabbit within about two hours for a same day problem. Everyone is always so friendly, and they genuinely seem to care about my rabbit. They are also extremely affordable priced, especially for an exotic pet. I would highly recommend Downtown Greensboro Animal Hospital to anyone looking for the best care for their pet.

Dr. Wehe and his staff at Downtown Greensboro Animal Hospital are outstanding! No matter how my pets 'behave' they're sweet and kind to them and do their best to make my 'fur babies' feel comfortable despite the poking and prodding that is necessary for their exam. A while back my largest dog got her foot impaled on a nail and when I called them, they said to bring her in right away. I didn't have to wait at all. The took such good care of her that she wasn't ever really afraid. She let Dr. Wehe handle her foot, clean and wrap it. It was as if she knew he was caring for her. That connection is what I see each and every time I take my pets in. There are no worries with this provider for your animals! I highly recommend them for the life long care of your beloved pets.

I had an emergency with a bunny and called first thing in the morning to try to schedule a walk in, as they claim to be one of the only vets in town who will see a rabbit. Receptionist first told me that the vet refuses to see people on Wednesday afternoon as she likes to take a half day, but given this is an emergency she would check and call me back. I called back at lunch to check in and the receptionist gave me an attitude and said "I just give your info to the vet and she will call you soon" I never heard back. In my opinion this is very unprofessional. Of course I understand people are busy but I was clearly an upset and potentially new client for them. Unimpressed.

Sought Dr Wehe when our beloved yellow lab mix became terminally ill. We originally had met him 8 years prior through Lawndale vet. Our dog was so comfortable with him. He was a “dog whisperer” in a sense. With the other vets she would freak out and be nervous.
When we took our dog there this final time she was so at ease with him and his staff despite being so sick so quickly. Honestly we feel like she remembered him from years before.
If we are ever blessed with another dog we will definitely be bringing them to the downtown animal hospital! Thank you for all you loving care!

We LOVE DGAH. Ever since we adopted Piper and Rocky we have taken them here and have always been impressed by their service. We now live in the Charlotte area, but if there's ever an emergency, they have been WONDERFUL to help, we still make the trip for all check ups. It's a very relaxing environment for all animals as well - - even though vet visits can't be their favorite outing, Dr Wehe and his team make it as great of an experience as it can be! You can definitely tell they have a passion for what they do.

I own a Yorkshire terrier who has been to so many vets because she has such bad skin infections. It is something she has had her whole life and none of the vets I have ever seen have helped her in the long run. I saw Dr. Wehe and he was concerned about her skin even though I was there about some other issues. I had pretty much given up hope and told him yeah don't worry about it she has always been like that. He was actually genuinely concerned and did not want to move forward with any other procedure until he had fixed her skin. So all he simply did was give us some antibiotics and told us to continue using the medical shampoo I have always had but increase using it to twice a week. Guess what!? It worked wonders and her skin has been amazing for the longest time. Other vets always would do all these other things trying to get as much money out us as they could saying they wanted to do allergy testing or yeast shots. I am so glad I found this place! My yorkie Angel can finally after 8 years of her life not be itchy and irritated. The entire staff is kind and caring. This vet is downtown and almost has an art gallery feel on the inside with lots of woods making it super homey. I would recommend this vet 100%!!!!

My two daughters and I came to know Downtown animal hospital a couple of years ago when one of our two guinea pigs developed a problem and the vet we were using at the time(banfield)was completely clueless about treating guinea pigs and/or,where to even take one for treatment.Fortunately,after a few calls,we were referred to Downtown where Dr.Wehe was well versed in the treatment of guinea's and took care of the problem.We now take both guinea's and our two dogs,holly and lacey(the crazy one) for all their medical needs!We get much more personal treatment for a lot less money than at banfield,with excellent results!Call and talk to Beth,she's my favorite!

Every member of the staff at DGAH is wonderful - courteous, caring and helpful. While my two pups aren't ever fond about going to the vet, it sure helps that Dr. Wehe gets on the floor with them and that I get to stay with them most of the visit. Dr. Wehe is superb about explaining in clear language what's going on with my dogs' health and what my dogs need. I won't go anywhere else!

Sought Dr Wehe when our beloved yellow lab mix became terminally ill. We originally had met him 8 years prior through Lawndale vet. Our dog was so comfortable with him. He was a “dog whisperer” in a sense. With the other vets she would freak out and be nervous.
When we took our dog there this final time she was so at ease with him and his staff despite being so sick so quickly. Honestly we feel like she remembered him from years before.
If we are ever blessed with another dog we will definitely be bringing them to the downtown animal hospital! Thank you for all you loving care!

We LOVE DGAH. Ever since we adopted Piper and Rocky we have taken them here and have always been impressed by their service. We now live in the Charlotte area, but if there's ever an emergency, they have been WONDERFUL to help, we still make the trip for all check ups. It's a very relaxing environment for all animals as well - - even though vet visits can't be their favorite outing, Dr Wehe and his team make it as great of an experience as it can be! You can definitely tell they have a passion for what they do.

I own a Yorkshire terrier who has been to so many vets because she has such bad skin infections. It is something she has had her whole life and none of the vets I have ever seen have helped her in the long run. I saw Dr. Wehe and he was concerned about her skin even though I was there about some other issues. I had pretty much given up hope and told him yeah don't worry about it she has always been like that. He was actually genuinely concerned and did not want to move forward with any other procedure until he had fixed her skin. So all he simply did was give us some antibiotics and told us to continue using the medical shampoo I have always had but increase using it to twice a week. Guess what!? It worked wonders and her skin has been amazing for the longest time. Other vets always would do all these other things trying to get as much money out us as they could saying they wanted to do allergy testing or yeast shots. I am so glad I found this place! My yorkie Angel can finally after 8 years of her life not be itchy and irritated. The entire staff is kind and caring. This vet is downtown and almost has an art gallery feel on the inside with lots of woods making it super homey. I would recommend this vet 100%!!!!

My two daughters and I came to know Downtown animal hospital a couple of years ago when one of our two guinea pigs developed a problem and the vet we were using at the time(banfield)was completely clueless about treating guinea pigs and/or,where to even take one for treatment.Fortunately,after a few calls,we were referred to Downtown where Dr.Wehe was well versed in the treatment of guinea's and took care of the problem.We now take both guinea's and our two dogs,holly and lacey(the crazy one) for all their medical needs!We get much more personal treatment for a lot less money than at banfield,with excellent results!Call and talk to Beth,she's my favorite!

Every member of the staff at DGAH is wonderful - courteous, caring and helpful. While my two pups aren't ever fond about going to the vet, it sure helps that Dr. Wehe gets on the floor with them and that I get to stay with them most of the visit. Dr. Wehe is superb about explaining in clear language what's going on with my dogs' health and what my dogs need. I won't go anywhere else!
