Dr Waterman is our main doctor but we have seen almost all of the doctors in this practice at one time or another. Always available when needed. Excellent diagnostic skills, even with out a lot of expensive testing. Almost always meets patients at scheduled time so not a lot of waiting. Reasonably priced. VERY supportive at times of serious illness and death of animal companions. People at front desk and other support staff always helpful and gentle with our furry friends. Read Less

We took our dog here several weeks ago for a nail trim and to determine if this facility would be the place we take all of our dogs to. It seemed nice at first, so we scheduled another visit one week later for vaccines (including rabies). It was essential that we get the rabies vaccine because we will be boarding our dogs while we go on vacation later this month. He received all vaccines on his second visit. Once we got to the boarding facility with the paperwork, they pointed out a clerical error in their records where they did not put the correct date for rabies. When we brought this to Lawndale's attention, they said they could not verify the vaccine and that he will have to have it again. Comparatively, their prices are exceptionally high. We explained to them that he did have the vaccine administered by their office and why would we get every vaccine but rabies, which was the sole purpose of the visit? Still they insisted that we bring him in, pay for another visit, and pay for another vaccine. I can understand a clerical error but I cannot abide the refusal to take action for their own errors. If they cannot manage records correctly and the extent of their customer service is "sorry, please give us more money", then I will be taking our animals elsewhere. It's hard to say that you "love" an experience at the vet. Typically, you're there because something has gone wrong, or you're putting out money for preventative care that your animals don't always like on top of the fact that it's going to cost you. Well, all that aside, Lawndale makes these trips as painless as they can be. We've got five pets and don't want to take them anywhere else. Last time I went there, my car died in the parking lot, I didn't have my phone, and couldn't remember anyone's number but my wife's. Her phone was on silent in another room. This place is good about managing our visits and keeping our wait time to a minimum. Everytime my pet and I had an appointment they already had a room prepared for us upon our arrival. He came in after putting in full days to check on her and was with her when she passed. He kept in constant contact with me. There is no veterinary hospital I trust more than Lawndale. This place and people are amazing! Dr. Burnett and Dr. Crawford are the best. They care from the heart, just like the rest of the team. I am the proud owner of Bella, who was pet of the month. She was a trauma, who started out as a foster, then became a foster fail. She was a part of my family. I hadn't had her but a few weeks when I was diagnosed with cancer. Bella was still undergoing her own medical care from the trauma of being hit by a truck. She developed MRSP in her leg. Dr. Burnett called me, asked me to call my oncologist and ask if I could have Bella. I called Dr. Burnett back in tears...I couldn't be around due to my compromised immune system. Dr. Burnett assured me that everything would be ok. Dr. Burnett and Laura Gonzo found Bella foster care. Bella was safe. Bella become very sick from the MRSP. Dr. Burnett and Dr. Crawford thought it would be best to amputate her leg. Dr. Burnett sent videos of Bella after her surgery and kept me updated. On one of her follow up appointments, her foster mom said she had been vomiting. Labs done, showed the medications to help with the MRSP were taking a toll on her liver and kidneys. Bella was put in the hospital. We didn't know how it was going to turn out. Dr. Burnett was very supportive. Dr. Crawford took Bella home for a few days. He said " We will treat the patient and not the labs." Who could ask for a better care giver for your animal then a vet. A few days later, I received a phone call from Dr. Crawford letting me know Bella can come home! This was great news! II couldn't believe it. With tears of joy, I picked Ms. Bella Boo up and she has been such and amazing addition to our family of many...I have since starting taking my other animals to Dr. Crawford and Dr. Burnett. We love this hospital.  We have always seen Dr. J and Dr. Crawford.  Dr. J provided care for my cat Squeaker during his last year with renal failure. She was great about sharing all her knowledge and letting me make choices. She didn't push expensive procedures - just gave us options and compassionately helped us give Squeaker the best we could through this time. We have two other cats that we still bring here. In 2007, our strong, healthy, 7 year old Labrador Retriever stopped eating. She became lathargic and started vomiting. This all happened so fast and we had just moved to the area. Being new, we had no idea which Vet to go to, so we went to the one closest to our house.  Let me tell you, we couldn't have been more blessed to have been introduced to Dr. Waterman.  Over the course of the week she guided us through a Cancer diagnosis and, ultimately, putting our dear dog to "sleep." We will never forget that day - it was a Sunday and the office was closed. She met us there, it was quiet and dark. She was kind and caring and was the perfect person to handle our grief that day. We took our dog to this Vet, she was very sick. After spending 400 dollars on different test, the Vet had no idea what was wrong.. They prescribed antibiotics and wanted us to come back for an ultrasound. We went to another Vet and was diagnosed, a ultrasound wasn't needed. The receptionist was very rude and cared more about socializing with the other receptionist instead of helping us with our sick dog. I will never go to this Vet again! Read Less

I have seen most of the doctors there and they are always great with my cats and always answer all of my questions. One of my cats was sick a couple months ago and the dr. I don't know about the other doctors on staff here but Dr. Crawford is absolutely wonderful. He has saved several of our family's pets from unnecessary surgeries, medications and always explains everything clearly.
