My dog is 17 yrs young and he's slowed down but on Thurs night he was unable to get off floor and was rolling around. He seemed very anxious and disoriented. I didn't know what was going on. It happen...
My dog is 17 yrs young and he's slowed down but on Thurs night he was unable to get off floor and was rolling around. He seemed very anxious and disoriented. I didn't know what was going on. It happened again sat am. I had called my regular vet on thurs night spoke to her fri and again on sat and al I got was he's old and give him an aspirin. No need to X-ray him bc have to sedate him so just give pain meds. That didn't settle w me very well. I met Dr Barros who examined my dog and right away told me he suspected a spinal injury that was interfering w his brain communicating w his right leg. He gave me options for which I chose the immediate one and we agreed if it didn't work I move on to more expensive diagnostics he also suggested alternative therapies like cold laser and acupuncture. I began my dog on medicine and contacted a chiropractor w a cold laser and immediately she found a disc injury and inflammation in his hip supporting what Dr Barros suspected. It's been 24 hours and my dog is not having any same episodes. He has some special chiropractic tape on him and is continuing w medicine and supplements recommended by Dr Barros. I just returned from a walk where my dog found a rat in some bushes and tried to take hunt. Thank you Dr Barros. If I had listened to doctors stuck w ordinary practices I may have put dog down prematurely. I know he is old but he still has quality of life. I trust this dr and I am transferring all my dogs to him and driving from 2 counties away to extraordinary vet practices.

We have been going to ORAH for over 20 years and love everyone there! Dr. Sacks has always been amazing. We were a little worried when she stepped down as owner and Dr. Barros took over. However he has proved himself also. Great staff and Dr.’s! Today I couldn’t get our 15 year old dog in the car because her back legs are too weak and she won’t let you help her up without biting you. I called and Dr. Barros came to our house to treat her! Wow, talk about service!

Dr. Sacks and Dr. Barros are amazing!! They spend time to make you and your pet comfortable and they truly care about your pets health! I first visited this clinic when a found a malnourished pup walking in the middle of the road. They were the closest vet to my house and I took her there to see if she had a microchip. They were able to see her the same day I called and now I have a new best friend (Sunnie) and a new awesome vet clinic!

Took my cats and dog there for years until my 10 year old cat obviously had some kind of neurological problem maybe from a tic. They charged me $300 for blood tests and said we still know nothing but leave him here we can still test for other things. We chose to take him home it was obvious he was dying. He died less than 2 days later

I was taking my dogs to the hospital. When I questioned why my older dogs needed a DHPP shot every year..I was told it was required by the state. I called 5 other vets on the NW area... all their DHPP...
I was taking my dogs to the hospital. When I questioned why my older dogs needed a DHPP shot every year..I was told it was required by the state. I called 5 other vets on the NW area... all their DHPP shots are 3 years. I called this office back and asked why.. I was basically called a liar and said they have “studies”.
Personally I think they make them yearly so they can get the $$. I was also at one point during a visit charged over $20 for the vet to put a piece of scotch tape on my dog and look at it.. for a yeast test... (it came out negative).
I don’t recommend this office.

Dr. Barrors will literally purr your cat out of its carrier. He won my stubborn, smart cat over with understanding and gentle timing. I didn't think it was possible after a previous visit with different vet. Dr. Barrors also came in and took care of my geriatric cat over the holidays putting in eye drops and making sure he ate all his food. I am very happy

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Sacks for over 20 years. They have always received the best care. The support we received from the staff when we had to make the difficult decision to put a pet to sleep was phenomenal. The staff is just like family to us. Recently, we had to take Kimi Li (our Shih Tzu) to an emergency vet late on a Friday night. We received a call from Dr. Saks the next day to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. We won't take our pets anywhere else.

I have been taking multiple dogs to be serviced at this facility for approximately 20 years. I was very unhappy with my previous vet and was referred to Oak Ridge. The love and attention that is given to the "babies" have been awesome. I rely on the staff and Doctors to lead me in the right direction for care. I have never been disappointed., and the personal care has been awesome, from the good times to end of life decisions. I totally trust their advice and recommendations!

We have been taking our pets to Oakridge Animal Hospital for 13yrs. They were recommended to us by my parents who have been taking their pets to them for almost 25yrs.
Dr. Sacks and her very knowledgeable staff are compassionate and treat your pets as if they were their own. Over the years, they have treated 5 cats (1 with no social skills) and 1 very spoiled dog. From day one, we have been treated as family/friends! We would be lost without them. They have treated our extended family(Pets) from new cat owners, that don't know what to do when the cats have drank beer and the other one coffee! They are extremely compassionate when I have lost a pet as well.
The team works well under pressure, organized, extremely knowledgable in their field for animal care. Each person has a tender touch and always there for you and your pet.
I am fond of all of them and blessed to have them care for my furry family of pets!!!

I was shocked to read this review. I've trusted Oak Ridge Animal Hospital with my pets for more than 20 years. From beginning through end of life, they have provided the best of care delivered by a professional staff that I'd put up against any in the area. Many of my neighbors feel the same way. When we compare notes on our pets, ORAH usually comes up in the conversation. I've never heard a negative word.

They suggest that you just let him suffer some more , because they want to proceed with the other stuff that is due. Vet's are nothing but a money racket.

This vet is over priced and they up sell you on unwanted and unwarranted tests, resulting in additional over priced visits. The expense is much greater than the care recieved.

Also labeled as a hospital but they don't carry many common pet medications, and require you to order online.

I have been taking multiple dogs to be serviced at this facility for approximately 20 years. I was very unhappy with my previous vet and was referred to Oak Ridge. The love and attention that is given to the "babies" have been awesome. I rely on the staff and Doctors to lead me in the right direction for care. I have never been disappointed., and the personal care has been awesome, from the good times to end of life decisions. I totally trust their advice and recommendations!

We have been taking our pets to Oakridge Animal Hospital for 13yrs. They were recommended to us by my parents who have been taking their pets to them for almost 25yrs.
Dr. Sacks and her very knowledgeable staff are compassionate and treat your pets as if they were their own. Over the years, they have treated 5 cats (1 with no social skills) and 1 very spoiled dog. From day one, we have been treated as family/friends! We would be lost without them. They have treated our extended family(Pets) from new cat owners, that don't know what to do when the cats have drank beer and the other one coffee! They are extremely compassionate when I have lost a pet as well.
The team works well under pressure, organized, extremely knowledgable in their field for animal care. Each person has a tender touch and always there for you and your pet.
I am fond of all of them and blessed to have them care for my furry family of pets!!!

I switched to Dr. Sacks when I moved to Oak Ridge from the Forest Oaks area, looking for someone a bit closer. Little did I know I was going to end up with one of the best vets in the state!
You can tell everyone, from the front desk staff to the techs and vets truly care for the wellbeing of your fur baby and you!!
After having moved back to the SE corner of the county, I still continue to bring my baby to Dr. Sacks. I don't mind the drive knowing he is getting the best care!

I love everything about the Oak Ridge Animal Hospital. Dr. Sacks is my favorite vet ever. My cat has had many medical issues and she is always extremely thorough and kind in treating him. The entire staff is a joy. They care for the animals as if they were their own!

I was shocked to read this review. I've trusted Oak Ridge Animal Hospital with my pets for more than 20 years. From beginning through end of life, they have provided the best of care delivered by a professional staff that I'd put up against any in the area. Many of my neighbors feel the same way. When we compare notes on our pets, ORAH usually comes up in the conversation. I've never heard a negative word.
