Dr. Sain and his staff are awesome people and care givers. You feel at home in their office, not like the "corporate"  places. I definitely made sure they weren't owned by a candy company before I sought services from them (ehhm.. Banfield). Also, their prices are fair and they don't try to gouge you, and they truly love your pet. I've been seeing Dr. Sain for 2 years now and am very happy. We recently switched from VCA Stoney Creek to University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic, and we couldn't be more pleased! When VCA bought Stoney Creek, the service went downhill fast, and the staff cared more about money than the animals and their families. Two weeks ago I took my lab mix "Hank" in for some mouth issues he was having. He had intolerable mouth pain due to infection and periodontal disease. After a thorough cleaning and the removal of several teeth he went through two weeks of pain relievers and antibiotics. He is now back onto solid foods and has bounced back to the teen years I thought he left behind. If it wasn't for the incredible staff and Dr Sain's interest and knowledge of canine dentistry Hank would surely have not made out as great as he did! Our entire family thanks you for helping our boy out of this sticky spot. I would highly recommend visiting University Animal Hospital and Dentistry if you would like the care for your dog as you care for them. A little over 6 months ago I was lucky enough to rescue a little Spaniel Mix, HER name is Bob. My Daughter in law recommended I take her to their vet, University Animal Medical and Dental Clinic, just to be sure she was ok. Two days later, after her exam, they found heart worm. Dr. Sain gave me the options, and we decided to go thru the treatment for heartworm. This staff is so kind and caring, and they were so good to answer all my questions. She made it thru all the shots and medications, and the heartworm is gone. (hooray) But the thing that has impressed me the most is the caring for my pet. Calling me after the treatment to make sure she was ok, I can't say enough about what this means to me. I love my dog, and I want the people that take care of her to love her too. And I feel they do. Dr. Sain and the clinic team do an excellent job of caring for our two cats. They are experts in the field. In addition to preventative care, they provide laser treatments for our cat who suffers from chronic stomatitis. This gives an improved quality of life and comfort to our animal. When we enter the clinic, we are always greeted with a warm welcome and reception. We would not think of taking our animals anywhere else for their medical care. I highly recommend them. Read Less

Dr. Sain and his team are wonderful!! I had other pets in the past that I had taken here for treatment and health visits but have recently taken our 2 new kittens (Nov 2013). Not only have all the visits for the regular round of shots been stress free, but I just had to take them in for their spay surgery and was a nervous wreck. The girls there are wonderful (Lisa, Andrea, Madison and others). They greet us by name and a smile and made sure to call me several times in the day. Dr. Sain is so pleasant and wonderful with the animals. I had my niece with me recently during a visit and Dr. Sain took the time to talk to her about her interest in becoming a Vet. The Vet here is one person who will not ever see any more of my Pets...He was Rude,and not very Professional....He was very ruff with my 15.5 lb Dog,The way they handled our Dog made our poor Little Dog shake,whine and cry,Which is Bad because he Loves everybody!!...The Prices are way Higher than the other places we now go to....IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS LIKE EVERYBODY SAYS THEY DO THEN STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET AND HIS OFFICE!!!!....And one star is one more than i should of givin them....To Bad you can't give Minuses!!!
