The are even better price than online stores! BUT it wouldn't matter if they didn't have lower prices. Looking for a get who cares? Dr Sink and his team are the best in town. I love the fact that at a drop of a dime they are able to see your fur baby. I also love the fact that they do not try to up sell you or pressure you into doing/buying something you may not need. When our 16.5 year old cat had health problems, we had not been in the Greensboro area for very long and didn't have a vet. A neighbor suggested High Point Veterinary Hospital and we found Dr. Munoz. The tech assistants are also very competent and caring. We discovered that our cat had kidney disease, a non-reversible condition; however, because of Dr Munoz' excellent care and advice, she lived a good life for almost a year longer. This place is a joke. There's absolutely no communication, whatsoever. The girls at the front desk are out of sync. My cats ashes sat up there for 2 weeks, nobody called me to let me know they arrived. They lost his paw print and lock of hair that they supposedly took for me. Just recently, I had taken my dog up there (once again) where I called to talk to the vet about my dogs procedure. I had more questions. They tell me that he was in a surgery and that he would call me back later. Guess what? No call. So, call the next day and and essentially ask them why it's so hard for them people to call me back? Then she comes back and says that the vet had already talked to me and it was documented in her notes. Which was true, he talked to me earlier that morning. But I had to clarify something before I went through with her 3rd procedure. The lady basically called me a liar and turned it around to "well it's up to you if you want to come in and make an appointment!" I work in customer service. I get yelled at daily by people over insurance problems and doctors problems. I know what it's like being in a situation where the fault is not yours, but you still have to comply anyway and do the best you can. So I don't treat people badly for no reason. Well, I'm banned from this vet, becauseI dared to question why they couldn't get back to me. Banned. I have never been banned from anywhere in my life. This is the best vet in town. They have years of knowledge in routine and emergency vet care. In my family, they have saved dog's from parvo, performed cesarean section surgeries, saved a miniature pinscher from being shot by a pellet gun in the private parts by some jerk, did surgery on a cat who climbed into my fishing gear getting stuck in a crankbait, neutered, treated a female who had a miscarriage, and infection, and many more unroutine emergencies with a 100% satisfaction rate. They are extremely busy, from all their dedicated years of service to our community, treating and saving animals, and a wait is not the worst thing that can happen. Trusting a vet whom has less knowledge and willingness to help is, do yourself a favor, trust their services, and don't be scared to ask questions . If you feel it's taking to long ask them, if you have a ? Ask them, if you don't know something, ask. Communication is the ability between 2 People (you and them) to get your thoughts and expressions across precisely. They do not have to initiate this. If you sit there an hour waiting and don't ask that is most likely your fault and much as theirs. If you are ordering from a prescription why didn't you order yourself. ? You had the prescription. If you rate a 1 star and your first comment is great vet, but . you are an idiot... If you have no knowledge of your animal go buy a book and learn basic information on your own. Don't go to ANY vet expecting to be the only customer, and be treated with respect if you do not give it.This is how life works. I am one half of Roll 'N 'Stone Bully Camp and I recommend this vet to the maximum. I have probably encountered more vet visit's than doctor appointments in my life and there knowledge and performance on animals is unmatched. Try being polite, knowing what you need or ability to communicate your problem, and be willing to work with them on timing, personalities, and small things like this and you will have less issues in the future. I would much rather wait on the best than be first in line to somewhere else. They have earned my RESPECT and my babies will not go to any other vet in this area again. They are just as able to perform emergency services as an emergency clinic. True, they have normal hours so sometimes the emergency clinic is a must, but if not go HERE!!!!# YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. If you are one who rates a service provider a 1 star based on a wait, please do not go here because if I run into you in the vet we will have an issue. My boyfriend and I decided to bring our dog here for the first time for some shots and a general wellness checkup. We scheduled an appointment and got there about 5 mins early. After we finished filling out the paperwork, we waited. And waited. An hour passed and we tried asking how much longer it would be before our pup would be seen. The lady disappeared and we never saw her again. Several minutes later another woman asked us if we needed help and we told her that we were tired of waiting since it was an hour past our appointment time and decided to leave. As we walked out to our car, the second woman came after us in the parking lot and said that they were cleaning a room for our dog. I asked her if they were cleaning the room for an hour. She said that they had some emergencies earlier this morning and that they were backed up. I completely understand falling behind due to emergencies. What I don't understand is the lack of communication as we sat in the waiting room. No one told us that they were behind today when we checked in and that there would be a long wait. No one kept us updated and let us know approximately how much longer we would have to wait. Even when we tried to find out, the person we asked never came back with that information. The staff seemed to have a severe issue with communication skills and poor customer service.Read Less

My 16 year old daughter and I had to take our very sick cat there a few hours ago. He was not able to come home and they were the kindest, most caring, understanding, and comforting people to my daughter and I. I highly recommend them. They clearly provided us our two options in a caring understanding way. Gave us time to discuss our best option, more than once. (Obviously euthanasia is a difficult decision.) they did not rush us. Gave us the opportunity to stay with him, loved our fur baby just as much as we did during his last few minutes. They showed such great care and Love toward us and our baby and our loss. Where to begin... We were transferred here from Guilrand (BEST place ever) with Dr. Munoz, who we love and didn't think twice in doing so. However, Dr. Sink and his staff leave a bad taste in our mouth. Our dog has an illness where her medication is what keeps her alive. Getting this medication on-time is key to her wellness. Last December we called in her medication, and four days later I came by to pick it up, only to find out NO ONE had called it in. Mind you, this medication requires a 3rd party pharmacy (out of state) for financial reasons. Not only had we ran out of medication, but had to buy an emergency dosage at a local drug store (VERY $$$$). Dr. Sink personally assured us that he "would work with us" and would credit us some $$ in the future since this had been entirely their fault. 3 weeks later, we re-order, go pick it up, and his office Manager in the most UNPROFESSIONAL way, said (while on the phone) that neither her nor Dr. Sink recalled having said "they'd work with us" and issue us any credit. Mind you, while being at fault and potentially having caused our dogs life. REALLY??? If waiting in their lobby for over 15 minutes every time we went to pick up our RX (while their UN ORGANIZED staff figured out for the 20th x) where my RX was, hadn't been enough, I now have to pay "full price" for their mistake???? AND she threatened to get rid of us as a client, while ordering her staff to give me my pet's records. I agreed to leave them, since they were a bunch of INEPT people who cared less about our pet's health and our pockets., took our records and will NEVER set foot there again. OR give them a dime of our hard earned money. A month later, we are going through another vet office, just ordered the RX through the same place, ONLY to find out that NOT only was HPVH a HORRIFIC experience, but they ALSO were MARKING up the RX by about $40. SERIOUSLY??? Last but not least, do yourself a favor and RUN the other direction... these people are MONEY hungry and their STAFF is the WORST!!!Read Less

I just got my puppy and I've been comparing prices trying to find a good vet to take my brand new pup.Pro: they r inexpensive and won't break the bank, not too much of a long wait.My complaint about this place when I arrived it just looked very unorganized and all over the place! It seems to be a family business but I was told it is owned by a husband and wife. My first time I had dr. Micheal sink! He was ok. I guess wasn't really to welcoming. The girls that worked for him just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. They don't smile or greet u they just basically get itoer with and get the job done. I told him that it was my first time pet owner I expected him to go into detail when I ask him questions not one answered questions. I really don't know how I feel to much bout this place. I recently changed veterinarians because at my former vet I began feeling like I was on a conveyer belt. I had been going to that vet for the past 25+ years and changed because one of our cats had developed a tumor and that vet pretty much told us there was no hope and that we might as well just accept it. I went to Dr. Sink's office for a second opinion. I was met by genuine concern and support for what were going through. Our fist visit was with Dr.Cinalli who could not have been more wonderful. Although the diagnosis was the same she suggested holistic ideas that might help. She told us not to give up. she went home and researched the type of cancer our cat had and filled the other vets in. Although we lost our dear pet within a few months all of the doctors and staff were sympathic and supportive throughout the whole situation. In fact I was so impressed that I had all of our pets (10) records transferred to HighPoint Veterinary Hospital. Moonlightlady and the other person who gave them a poor rating must be the type of folks that like feeling like they are being pushed through on roller skates. Although we often have to wait a little while to see the doctor, I feel the wait is well worth it becuase I know that Dr. Sink and his staff are spending as much time as necessary with each of their clients and showing each of them the same care and genuine concern as they do us. That is something that you don't see often enough in companies nowadays. I would also like to note that when we lost our beloved pet we not only recieved a thoughtful sympathy card signed by all of their vets and staff but also a beautiful little keepsake card with the quote by Eleanor Rosevelt ""Many people walk in and out of our lives but only true friends leave footprints on your heart' with our pet's own footprints on it. However, if she'd checked her dates beforehand she would've found out that Guil-Rand Veterinary Hospital closed in 2009 and transferred their records to Westchester Veterinary Hospital and that High Point Veterinary Hospital opened in 2004. Guil-Rand Pet Inn and Grooming was the business that occupied Dr. Sink's building until 2004. Maybe moonlightlady should check with Westchester Veterinary Hospital for her pet's records. Read Less

I completely disagree w/ the other rating. I have never experienced nothing but the absolute best service from HPV. I have been to other vets and actually went to the one next door for help where they literally closed the door in my face. The staff at HPV treats every animal as if it is their own and when I have needed help that is exactly what they gave me as well as exceptional service. Read Less

HPVH started off as a caring vet hospital with a staff of people who love animals, but a combination of what I have to imagine is turnover and outright apathy has turned this into a place I would never take a family member.HPVH offers vet care, boarding and grooming - I no longer recommend any of these services. The boarding service neglects the animals to the point where our normally happy and outgoing dog came home sullen and fearful after two nights in their service, with a nose rubbed raw from her trying to escape, and another of our dogs came home thoroughly SICK after one of her grooming sessions. HPVH shares a parking lot with another vet hospital that DOES love animals, and DOES have staff that are responsibile people. If you must find a vet in the area, go there, instead. Read Less
