Staff were really nice but I am not sure about how helpful they are. Took my snake in for a look at it’s compaction but they did not serve much help. I didn’t get to see the physical exam so I don’t know how experienced they are with reptiles. They failed to notice the cloacal infection my snake is developing. I can’t even go to another vet because they charged me $70 for nothing so now I am just waiting for my snake to slowly waste away. If you are a snake keeper, spend your money on another clinic. This clinic isn’t worth your money or snake’s health. Don’t make my mistake. It was my first time dealing with something like this in my years of experience in snake keeping so I did not know what to expect at a vet. Now I do. Billie was great getting my cat in for a wellness appointment and helping me select the right health care plan. Billie and Dr. Adams took very good care of my cat where he was more calm leaving then when we arrived. He has had rough experiences at the previous veterinary care clinic. We have had an AWFUL experience with Carolina's Veterinary Clinic- would definitely not recommend them. I feel like I'm dealing with a used car salesman. They ran tests that were not approved, changed their recommendations just to suggest more testing, prices were changed after estimates given. No communication with the actual vet. Lab results are given by untrained receptionists. Over $600 wasted so far. The Veterinarian is completely unprofessional and attempted to argue with me over the phone to make excuses for what was done- not what I would expect from a professional organization. I should have trusted prior reviews! Steer clear and do your research on other Vets in the area! We will be taking our medical records and finding a reputable Vet to take our pets. Read Less

Recently boarded my 2 dogs here while visiting from out of town. This was my first time boarding them and leaving them for a long period of time. I was very worried how my dogs would be cared for but Amanda reassured me that they would be in great hands and even told me she would give me updates on how they were doing :) Read Less

We had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our cat. We've had him for many many years. The staff was so sensitive and caring while we were there. We didn't have to wait in the lobby crying in front of people. They didn't rush us and allowed us to make the decisions based on what worked best for our family. My dog tore tissue from his paw with the bone exposed somehow. This occurred a week before my wife's birthday. We took him to Carolina Vet Specialists in Huntersville and the staff was courteous, helpful and attentive. Dr.Huff was the vet in charge of taking care of my dog. She took exceptional care of my dog with the empathy rarely seen in these times. My dog and family are exceedingly grateful to have encountered her and the staff at CVS. Read Less

You admitted that the "$140 per pet" was indeed a MISTAKE made by your staff.BEWARE OF THE SCAMMING HERE! Read how disgustingly rude their replies are to customers complaining on Yelp about being overcharged! One reply said they "rarely" get negative reviews and when they do, they're just people "avoiding charges" and being dishonest. The manager threatens EVERY bad review with surveillance. I boarded my two rabbits for 4 nights. Whenever I came in to drop them off, we agreed to a total price of $140 for both of the rabbits, which included a 10% discount for having both of them in the same cage. I signed 2 papers, one for each rabbit, both stating that the total price was $140. When I came to pick them up, I was told the total was now $160. Apparently, they had made a "mistake" and told me that the papers I had first signed were charging for canine boarding and not exotic boarding. The office manager admitted that although the mistake was made by her staff, I would still need to pay the price difference. She was extremely rude and claimed that she COULD technically charge me $140 per rabbit since I signed 2 papers, which is extremely deceptive and dishonest. She even threatened to pull up surveillance video of me signing the papers. She obviously had no interest in earning our business back, which is a shame for them because we board often. After 20 minutes of trying to reason with her, she eventually agreed to $150, which was STILL not the price we originally agreed on. If you read any of the reviews on Facebook, Google, or Yelp, you will find plenty of other customers who were overcharged for boarding their pets, too. Although I knew about the bad reviews, I thought it couldn't happen to me because of how clear the price agreement was. Even if the difference was only $10, it really shows how true they are to their word, as many have ended up with more expensive differences. To top it all off, the food bowl I sent with them was covered in urine, food, and grime. On another review, they prided themselves in "sanitizing" everything before they gave it back. I would highly recommend going to another vet to board, as this place has no concern for the customer's satisfaction or the pet's well-being, but only the money that they can make off of scamming them. This was the first place we ever boarded our dog Sugar at. The staff was super nice & took us back to show us around which I thought was great. I pictured a much worse environment like a tiny kennel for a big dog. However, it wasn't like that. I also like that we are allowed to pick up on Sunday's. Only down fall was that besides the bigger area on the inside for fun time, there's nothing outdoors or at least it was never shown to us. Sugar is house broken so that's very difficult for her. I have rescued dogs since my teens and helped fund and promote "no kills" when I lived in Manhattan (which is most of my life - easy move, grew up in NJ). I've done so much research on dogs people have suggested I become a vet -- I could never handle that, I used my skills in corporate business and the entertainment industry until I became incorporated in my own business. Enough about me. We rescued a wonderful, beautiful dog from Cabarrus County through Crisis Dogs NC. A wonderful woman I was introduced to through Crisis Dogs (she has 17 rescues - dogs, cats & even a bunny - they are all needy animals) told me to bring Simon to Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic after our Simon got very sick after being neutered by the local vet we were using. I've been getting over the flu and unfortunately couldn't go with them, but was able to be involved with the exam over speakerphone. Simply wonderful, maybe the best (although I don't want to not compliment vet we used in Siler City -- just they are 2 hrs. away, Carolinas Vet Care Clinic is just an hour away. They will be our regular vets from now on. And their pricing is VERY fair!! Much less than we paid at our local vet. Highly, highly recommend them! Read Less

I'll never make the mistake of boarding my guinea pigs here again. First issue was the price. Was told 3 different prices than what I actually paid. First person said $20 per day if the 2 guinea pigs are in the same cage. 2nd said $20 per day for the first pig and 10% off for the second guinea pig. I was charged $40 per day even though they were both in the same cage. ($40 per day for boarding is more than the cost of a dog or a cat which seems excessive because dogs and cats require far more attention) 2nd issue is I left a brand new huge bag of hay for the guinea pigs for a week long stay. The bag should have been nearly empty if they gave the pigs new hay every day but it was nearly untouched. I couldn't even tell that they had opened it. Also weighing my pigs after i picked them up they had lost a considerable amount of weight. (weight loss is a big issue for guinea pigs) Which confirmed that they were not given enough food. Last issue was I gave them individual containers with veggies that were labeled for each day. I did not get back all of my containers. When i realized this at home I was so upset with the overall care that I didn't bother to contact them to find the containers. With the absorbent cost and the sub-par care, I'd rather hire a service to come take care of my pigs in my home. It's nearly half the price and my animals don't have to travel anywhere. Read Less

We usually have a Veterinarian that comes to the house for anything we may need; however, our Lab mix, Boone needed stitches for a gash on his side. A friend recommended we come here. This was our first time at the clinic, and they got us right in. The staff was great, and made us and Boone feel so comfortable. They got him put back together, and gave us all the information we need to help him heal! We will definitely be back! Read Less

Our sweet pup, Babs had to have some dental work done today, and Dr. Adams and the staff at Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic, took such great care of Babs. They contacted me once Dr. Adams examined Babs while she was sedated and gave the the lowest cost scenario and the highest cost scenario and did not pressure me either way. I have taken both of my dogs there and they were treated fantastic! Both of the Doctors and the staff truly care and it shows! I have a 13 yr old lab and she is treated like a queen when she arrives.. My 14 yr old Box-a-dor is happy every time he sees where we are. I cannot thank them enough for the excellent support and love you show her each and every visit. She is a rescue that came from very unfortunate circumstances and the staff and the vet are loving and kind and truly understand what it takes to uniquely care for her emotional needs. Life has dealt her a very low blow and as a team we have worked together to give her a quality of life she deserves:) Every time we board her she comes back healthy, and happy. We had a very unfortunate experience with a boarding facility and Carolina Veterinary Clinic fit us in same day and stayed after hours to care of her. I would like to formally thank everyone for helping us that day. We will only board with this facility from now on and will not book a trip in the future unless they can take her. In fact, in the beginning I did had an issue with a miscommunication/interpretation and they were very approachable and professional in clarifying the situation that despite the first bad impression I have given them a chance to prove me wrong. And they did, and did so well that we keep coming over here and I won't trust anyone else judgment but Dr. Fennel.The staff and Dr. Fennel take their time to make the cats as comfortable as possible during the visit. The office is clean, modern and peaceful. I would suggest others that wrote bad reviews to have a personal talk before coming over to a internet forum and just placing a bad review without giving the place a chance to respond to your concern. You cannot ask for better vets and staff! Everyone's sense of compassion is outstanding. You can tell this team loves what they do. How many vet clinics have you gone to where everybody knows your pets name? From the front desk to grooming to check ups to surgery I wouldn't trust any other location to provide care and love for my three babies. Hands down this place rocks!!! Read Less

This place is awesome! Their customer service is EXCELLENT, they will call you and give you great detail about what to expect, the medical procedure, outcome results and potential costs, etc. They are always so cheerful and treat their patients and their owners very well. Dr. Adams is wonderful- she has worked with my mini-potbelly pig and my cat. She spent almost an hour trimming my piggy's hooves, working with her skid-dishness, all so I wouldn't have to pay the extra money for anesthesia/giving her tranquilizers. And for my cat, he had an emergency urinary blockage and they took him first thing in the morning ASAP and were all ready for his surgery when I dropped him off. So glad I found them! Read Less

I've have used several veterinarians and I will keep returning to CVCC because of the welcoming reception from Collene and the devoted care of their doctors. We are new to this area and were trying to find a new place to board our dogs.  When we called we were told we would be billed for two nights of boarding.  The pick upTime on Sunday was 5-7 which meant we could get our dogs early and save a night ofBoarding.  When we went to pick up the dogs we were charged for three nights.  When we called to discuss that the third night was not communicated to us - I was told that it was in the notes that they specifically told us that. I can promise you it was not, my sister in law called and booked the same place and it was not communicated to her either.  We would have gone some place else that charged less per night.  People spend hundreds of dollars on their pets - I will not be spending another dollar here Read Less

This place was unacceptable. I thought by take my dogs to a vet they would be better taken care of for grooming and boarding but this place must be the exception. Grooming was terrible they missed my dogs thumb nails and it seemed like they just spayed her down with perfume. I boarded my dogs with a special health request but they just disregarded them. Second, my dogs came home dying of thirst and dirty from head to toe. And don't bother complaining because the staff will just point the finger back at you.  These people just seem greedy and don't seem like they care about animals at all. I wish this wasn't the case. This place really got us on boarding! I would not recommend it. We were told on Sunday that there were two pickup times for the dogs 9-11 and 5-7. We boarded our dogs Friday and Saturday. When we went to pick them up we were charged for Sunday as well because we chose the 5-7 pickup.  This was not explained to us at all.  We even called twice before going. $70 it cost us because we didn't get them 9-11.  I am new to the area and you know two dogs are expensive,  I will not spend another dollar at this place.  They did the same thing to my brother-in-law and his wife. Also my dog had crap all over his butt when we got him home.  Was he sitting in it in his cage? Are there techs to help with that their? Obviously not. Place would get zero stars if I could do it. Dr. Fennel was great for the 6 months or so I used her while I lived in Huntersville. She was very professional and had great bedside manner. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond to explain things to me. However, after moving 30 minutes away I did not think it was worth the drive to continue using their vet services. They are very expensive compared to my new vet in South Charlotte. However, if you live in Huntersville I would recommend. Read Less

DO NOT TAKE DOGS HERE. Rude and unprofessional young staff who yelled at our dogs. We took our two dogs here to board for one night after purchasing a Groupon deal. I called to give them all the information and records. When we got there for check in they wanted copies of the medial records again after I had faxed them previously, they wanted to over charge us, and it took 30 mins to drop them off. At most facilities when you drop your dog off it is a simple stress free and fast drop off, but not in this case. When we picked up our dogs the following morning a young girl was there, she went into the back to get the dogs and was screaming at the dogs. That was unprofessional and didn't give us a good feeling about how the dogs were treated during their stay. The dogs were acting weird when we got then outside, like they weren't walked during their stay at all. They were both panting so much and ate and drank a lot when we got them home. They have never acted like that after bording at other places. There are several other places in the area with staff who doesn't yell at your dogs. Read Less

I am so happy with our experiences at Carolinas Veterinary Clinic. We take our two dogs there and the staff is just fabulous with them. We have an older chow mix and they are so nice and understanding about his moodiness and personality. Our other dog is still under a year and we bought the puppy package that included almost EVERYTHING you could need for the first year. We also have had our older dog groomed there a few times and they have always done a fantastic job. The groomer is so nice and easy to talk to. I think we will be lifelong customers. Read Less

Let me start by saying, I drive 30 minutes, one way, to see Dr. Fennel, Dr. Adams, and their staff.  I use this clinic for all of my dog's needs; their health care, spa care, and boarding are all done here.  I trust no one else with my two, very small, precious dogs.  I have been a client since they've opened their doors.  The attention, professionalism, and compassion received from the entire staff, from day 1, has gone beyond my expectations.  At this point, they know all 3 of us by name, and treat us like family. You want to know that the VERY BEST is taking care of you and the ones you love. I have  a 9 year old dog who has been having problems with tendonitis and has been limping for about 1 year. Another vet down the street seemed only to be interested in ordering expensive and unneeded xrays and turning a profit.  My poor dog suffered for about a year with this.  I figured I would give this Carolinas Veternary clinic a try.  The staff here is amazing. The nurse, Becca,  took a great deal of  time with us and really listened to the problems that my dog was having.   Dr, Adams really helped us to develop a plan to help us and not just think of ways they could turn a profit.  The medicine and the supplements that they recommended have worked wonders over the last month and we have seen a dramatic improvement in Murphy.  I would highly recommend this clinic.  It is obvious that they are in the business of truly helping animals and not just turning a profit.  This is the new vet for both of my dogs now. Very disappointed with my experience.  Took my two dogs in for grooming and was specific about what type of cut I wanted for their breed. The person I talked to was not the person who groomed them.  They were handed off to three people and the third person did not have information about the cut relayed to them. I was NOT happy. While my dogs were still at this business, I got a phone call from a tech saying one of my dogs has a FUNGUS on her front paws.  She wanted to know if I wanted their vet to look at her.  i said no, I would prefer to take her to OUR vet.  When I picked the dogs up, I asked to see the fungus or area she referenced so I could understand what they were talking about.  I had seen no blood, licking or other signs of what the tech referenced before taking the dogs in and I didn't see any signs at that time.  I took my dog to my vet and there was no fungus.  Kinda felt like I would have been paying for something that didn't exist had I chosen to use their vet.  I also ended up paying more for the grooming even though I specifically discussed the price with the person we checked in with. At this point, I wanted my dogs and I wanted to get OUT of that business.  I will not return and I urge anyone considering using this business to think twice! Read Less
