We brought my beautiful senior Corgi Roxy in for her senior checkup and because she has been experiencing mobility problems. She was seen by the new Vet Dr. Eric. He and the staff did an excellent job handling her as she can be a little grumpy when it comes to her checkups. I have been bringing her here for the last seven years as well as our other fur babies. Pros: - excellent healthcare. They saved my dog when she was found with heartworm, and gave me a long period of being my cat's human even with cancer with good palliative care. My other cat has been with them since birth for her vet care and is still fiesty and awesome.- the vets are friendly, communicative, and very responsive to questions.- when I've had to euthanize, they grieved with me in very respectful ways.- their advice has led to happy lives for my beasts.Cons:- Sometimes the front desk folks are a bit snippy. I so don't care. I am too sometimes. They care about getting their jobs done, and there's a ton on the plates. And ultimately, they do a good job.- They are a bit pricey sometimes on tests. I have taken my babies over to be checked on different occasions. Mollie was treated and checked out fine. Also my Maggie had her shots and checked out fine. I also took my my boy Scooter. He had a hernia and a tumor removed. Dr Nabel had to go in a second time to repair hernia. He did all he could do to try and repair the damage that the tumor and hernia had caused. I was able to bring my boy home and he spent his last weekend with us at home. Dr Nabel is very understanding and just tells you what can be done and if it will work. He sometimes has to give you information that you were hoping was going to be a different outcome. Thank you Dr Nabel and staff for all that you did and letting us bring him home. He passed at 3:45 on the 17th in the am. We loved him and he was loved on his last couple of days . Thanks again for helping us with the best medical treatment possible. We can't win them all but you did everything possible to get the win. He didn't suffer and just went in his sleep. Read Less

Do NOT waste your time or money, or risk your pet's life coming here. They do not care about your pet. They have THE WORST customer service. They also recently increased their prices for what? Horrible, cruel treatment of my pets? Not worth it. Not one bit. They only care about your money, they do not care about your pet's health!!! I called in to see if I could get my dogs papers for when she got her rabies shot, because she needs it for her haircut and when I called in.. I didn't tell the lady my name, OR my dogs name. But she tells me she'll check then put me on hold for half an hour. However.. She can't be checking if she has no idea who she's checking under and when she took me off hold.. Instead of seeing if I was still there, she just hung up the phone. The staff is all rude, and the last time my dog was there for a heartworm test.. Where all they do is take a stool sample.. I heard her yelp extremely loud from the back, and when she came out she came out shaking, crying, and completely terrified. This is the worst vet I have ever been to and will be looking for another place to take my dogs. Read Less

Horrible. If I could give no stars, I would. Desk staff is not friendly and I was always rushed out. My 17 week old pup was having vomiting and diarrhea (a sign of parvo) and when I called to have her seen, they were unconcerned and could only offer to see her two days later. I called another local vet who's receptionist was very concerned that my young pup was experiencing these symptoms and they offered to see her right away, actually urged me to bring her immediately. I have not problem with James Landing Veterinary boarding our furchild, but after talking to a lady about how he was to be groomed, you can image my disappointment when I picked him up today(Tuesday) after 4pm and he had NOT been groomed!!! Read Less

They make me and my pets feel like family. I use them for wellness care, boarding and grooming. My dogs love the staff. My cat is crabby & bitey but they do a great job on his hair cuts. He's a long haired cat. After we started shaving his coat short, he stopped getting hair balls. And he looks very cute. Read Less

They were always very helpful and our dogs loved the staff. Then a different vet in the office started seeing our dogs. I don't know if he is new or what but our oldest dog was attacked by a neighborhood dog and all he done was give us antibiotics and didn't even check the wounds, actually stood at the door never once touching our dog. Long story short our dog eventually stopped using his back leg and the vet at James Landing said it will go away. We finally went to a different vet and our dog had a completely ruptured ACL and required surgery. So our beloved pup was in pain for months when we trusted an animal Healthcare specialist who wouldn't take the time to do a thorough job. Read Less

I have been going to James Landing for 9 years. My dog Drew is now 13. The staff really cares about the well being of your pet. Unlike other vets I have been to, they don't do anything that is unnecessary and let you decide what's best for your pet. I have full trust in the advice I receive. I brought in my standard poodle puppy, Kate because of vomiting and listlessness. There was constant follow up regarding her condition & treatment plan, the vet even tried me on my personal cell, work cell & work phone just to reach me which isn't normal at all! They took great care of my baby & she is doing great! She wasn't just another dog patient; everyone on staff showed genuine concerned for her wellbeing. They don't do any procedures in the exam room and refuse to let owners be present in the treatment area. I was previously a vet tech, and this alone really bothered me. Almost everything gets filtered through techs, to the extent that it's really hard to get to talk to a doctor. We found it impossible to be taken seriously on concerns about our dog. They quickly dismissed problems that proved fatal. Finally, the tech was mean to us when we wanted to be present for our dog's euthanasia. If I had trusted my gut, we would have gone elsewhere sooner, and I wish we had. Now we have a new dog, and we've found another vet that we're much happier with. Read Less

I've been in North Carolina for a little over a year - this office has taken great care of my Pomeranian. They were also extremely warm and supportive when we had to put my 14 year old Sheltie to sleep last February. And, I just brought my Papillion-Yorkie mix puppy for her first vet visit. We have been taking our 2 dogs to this clinic for the past 3 years. No longer will they have our business after being treated poorly and their refusal to do what was in the best interest of our two pups. I cannot stress enough how rude Trish and the rest of the front desk staff were. The vet himself, came out and insulted us. This is after 3 years of consistent care and thousands of dollars in check-ups, medications, etc. Bill paid and records taken. The care is run of the mill, pricing is avg to high, and the staff is very rude. Why waste time here? Eventually they will treat you like the dollar sign that you are to them. Read Less
