Dr. Tyler Gallaher is one of the best vets I have ever met. He is so caring to his patients and you can tell he loves animals. He explains everything that is going on so you know exactly what to expect. The entire staff is always so sweet and caring and it truly makes for a great experience when your fur baby isn't feeling well and you're nervous for them. I gave this place a fair chance honestly but I just got fed up with the ever changing costs for the same tests. I have three different receipts with three different prices for the exact same thing. A difference of up to eleven dollars more between the three is present. They also charge an insane amount for emergency services (without a standing appointment). It was 150 dollars more for the on call vet to take one pet in versus taking them both in for a scheduled appointment. There was also one vet tech who all but tried to shove a thermometer up my puppies rectum while in the exam room with me. I had to hold my own dog and give her treats I keep on hand to distract her. The vet I'm with now doesn't charge extra for emergency visits because they want to know your pet is okay and they don't change prices three times in 3-4 months. Also, none of their staff would ever attempt to insert a thermometer into a moving, excited dog because they know that much like humans you could easily tear or puncture their sphincter/ intestines. I'm thankful to have finally bit the bullet and decided to drive thirty minutes to the vet that has been there for now 7 of my family's pets. Read Less

Great veterinarians. I have taken my two dogs there ever since my family adopted them from an animal rescue. They have walk-in hours from 9-11am and 2-4pm, so getting an appointment isn't necessary. They keep comprehensive records on their patients, which is great because both of my dogs have some chronic health issues, and the vet's are able to quickly look back at what has and hasn't worked in the past. Dr Parks was absolutely wonderful. My 14 yo Shetland Sheepdog had a growth that was potentially cancerous. The initial visit I found the office staff to be friendly and kind. Dr. Parks and his assistant Vet Tech Lauren were acceptionally warm and welcoming to both of my Shelties. He gave her a thorough exam, and kept her anxiety to a minimum. He explained everything in detail. The staff gave me a quote, and the actual cost was lower than anticipated. He removed a growth from her lip and closed the wound with the mastery of a cosmetic surgeon. These folks are a true blessing. Read Less

I owned a Pomeranian for 12 years until it's untimely death in 2009. During the entire time, Hopkins Road kept it vacinnated and maintained its health, always professionally and courteously. In 2010, I replaced my Pom with an 8 week old Shih Tzu. They guided me through her care and vacines the first 6 months and treated her during these visits like she was their only "patient". We now added a second Shih Tzu to the family October of 2012. I just wish to say that the doctors and staff are wonderful and caring and we appreciate you taking care of our "girls". The doctors and staff of my vet are very helpful and friendly. Both of the doctors get to know their patients and it's nice to be recognized when you walk in the door. They're also really accommodating and will mail your medicines or work you in when you need to see the vet. Read Less

Dr.B truly has a love for animals and each one of his patients. He is not the type of Dr/vet to rush you, your concerns really matter and he does everything to make sure you leave with all questions and concerns taken care of! The staff here is awsome, Owners are very thorough with explaining all details of your pets health, taking the time to explain in detail what needs to be done with their care. I absolutely love Hopkins Road Animal Hospital. The staff is absolutely dedicated to doing the best job possible for every animal. I have every type you can imagine and have never been disappointed in the care, treatment or even pricing here. They are upfront about everything and take the extra time to make you and your pet comfortable.
