The vets are nice enough, but it's hit or miss. Not all the vets are thorough with exams or with explanations.  It's well staffed with techs but some of the techs are impatient and unprofessional (they're always gossiping behind the counter, sometimes even complaining about the staff veterinarians!).  I don't like how they sometimes leave out animal records, and you can see pet owner's addresses, phone numbers, etc. I don't think NC has privacy laws governing vet records, but it's still a little unnerving.I do like how they have walk-in hours on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  They also take Care Credit (If I'm not mistaken, $200-299.99 is 6 months interest free, and $300+ is 1 year interest free). I was on vacation in Kernersville and my 14 year old dog had 3 days/nights that were very stressful for her and me. My family and I decided it was her time to walk the rainbow bridge. We knew it was time but couldn't do it before we left for vacation. I want to say the staff and vet at the Kernersville Veterinary Hospital went above and beyond what they needed to do helping us through this sad event. I was very satisfied with how they treated us and our beloved dog. They put her on a new blanket and gave her a shot to relax her. We were then given time to love her and pet her in a relaxed state that she had not been in for some time. Right before the end, a very nice tech came into the room and made a paw impression in self-hardening clay. The tech even put our dog's name into the clay. We were also given time after after the final shot was administered to grieve in a room with just our family. The people that are part of this practice really care about animals and their human care-givers. Read Less

I have been visiting there ever since I got my German shepherd puppy. I been there in times when it was really busy and The Times when it hasn't been. I have been going there for years. I actually worked there and it's an animal hospital. Yes there is always a speck of dust somewhere but they keep it as clean as they can while taking amazing care of the animals. Yes there are days where they become very busy and cannot take calls right away. Some people have to understand that they may be in a room with a patient who is in a life or death situation. Every vet hospital has those cases and it takes a great team to work together, keep a good attitude, and still at the end of the day say "I'll see you tomorrow". I recommend this vet hospital because the doctors working there do care about your animal(s). They do what they can to ensure your pet amazing health. Read Less

I have been taking my animals to Kernersville Veterinary Hospital for over 18 years and absolutely love them. I always try to see Dr. Rosenquist because she is so amazingly dedicated to the health of my animals. Dr. R saw our abandoned 1.5 week old litter of kittens who were malnourished and had multiple health problems. They weren't given much chance of survival at a different vet, but Dr. R was determined to help save them. She taught me how to bottle feed them and administer their various medications. Years later (and dozens of other rescues she's saved too!) those little babies are fat, happy brats. The staff is always polite and helpful. First visit was OK but I was a little worried about the cleanliness of the office. To start I was only OK about this place, but still thought some of the staff was unprofessional and lacked the skills to communicate without giving off the vibe I was bothering them. The assistant to the DR had no idea how to answer any questions and while I was waiting for the DR to come back I hear them all in the back room watching YouTube videos. OK? Did you forget there is a patient waiting? Then I have a major medical issue with my dog, so I called and left a message at opening, understanding the DR may not be in yet. However, I called twice in between asking if the DR has reviewed messages. Nope, clearly not. I was told someone would call back. After about 6 hours I called again and still nothing I was told; "well they are at lunch they can call when back". So you are telling me the DR chooses not to review messages from 7AM until after lunch. Hence, I mentioned it was a sense of urgency. I asked if it was that hard to get a return call maybe I should find a new vet and I was told to do just that by the snotty girl that answers the phone. Knowing she would tell the vet I was upset, but I did after 7 hours get a phone call and the vet (Tiffany) was just as rude and after I explained why I called and that I was disappointed in the fact no one called sooner. I was told, "well it's the day after a holiday we are obviously busy". OK? Get that so you treat your patients like crap, in office or on the phone? I told her I was able to get another vet on the phone and I wasn't even their patient yet and they were compassionate regarding the situation and willing to take two minutes to speak to me. She (Tiffany) said OK if you tell me the location I will fax your records right over. Are you kidding me? They promote to get rid of you b/c you are upset that no one returned a phone call after 7 hours regarding a major medical concern. Needless to say if they treat people this way I can only imagine how they treat the animals when you are not around. I am disgusted by the lack of professionalism and compassion from this office. If there was more I could do I would. I warn anyone do NOT use this location EVER. I see how the person below would be upset as well, I am not shocked though after my two encounters at this office. If they are that quick to get rid of a client b/c you are upset and worried about your pet then this is not the place to go. You would think any animal hospitol would understand the frustration and fear a person has when their pet is sick. TERRIBLE place. So this is an update - b/c after I was told it would be better to have my dogs medical records faxed to the new vet - when I called to do so. I was asked why I hadn't come to pick them up and that they had it all printed. Clearly knew who I was. So the new vet had to then request the records and Kernersville decide to fac back one page of what they did no test results nothing - along with a nasty gram about me. I mean if you spent more time being professional and taking care of your clients maybe you would not have to spend so much time monitoring bad reviews. Then trying to make up stories about what you "offered" - nothing was offered until I waited 7 hours to get a call back. By then the office all gossiped about the angry client so it was pointless to talk to any of them b.c they are all clearly immuture. The only reason I still post here is b/c I do not want anyone else to go through the BS I went through at this place. Not to leave out they blocked me from their Facebook page so I can't post there. Again, if you spent more time on the patients than you do monitor social media for bad reviews or begging current clients to write good reviews maybe you would have a better business. P.S. the new vet I am going to is amazing - I was even told by them they have had heard many clients talk about issues with Kernersville Vet Hospitol and one person even had a family/friend working for Kernersville who left b/c the reputation was terrible. What does that tell you. Read Less

I just wanted to take a moment to say THANKS to Dr. Lisa Rosenquist and the Kernersville Veterinary staff for the quality care they provide to our dog, Mollie. She has been the primary vet for her for a number of years now, and most recently found that her liver count was extremely high. She had all the symptoms of Cushing disease in dogs. Mollie is a thirteen year old Dalmation/Pointer mix and had recently started drinking an excessive amount of water and therefore could no longer make it through the night without having to go outside to relieve herself. She also seemed to want to eat more often than usual. Another sign of the Cushing is some swelling in her abdomen and behind her neck. To rule out a possible tumor or cancer, Lisa first referred me to Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Greensboro to have an ultra sound performed for Mollie to see if she had any internal growths/tumors that would cause her liver count to be elevated. We did so and thankfully the results were negative. Therefore we proceeded to do a series of tests for the possibility of the Cushing Disease. The results from the tests proved to be negative as well, so we have changed her diet to a new Scientific dog food in hopes of lowering her liver count and to make her feel better and become healthier. Thus far she has adapted to the new food and is drinking less water. She doesn't seem to be near as hungry and has much more energy at this point. We are pleased that Mollie is doing much better and we will continue follow up with Lisa and monitor her liver count. I am very pleased that Mollie is in the care of Dr. Lisa and would highly recommend Kernersville Veterinary Hospital for your pet or pets. We also have three cats and have been extremely satisfied with the care they have received at this facility. Read Less

Read Less

Kernersville Vet has been my go-to for veterinary care for many years. My dog has had several medical issues, and Dr. Rosenquist has always provided her excellent care. She has always been expeditious to return my phone calls or phone me of lab results. The technicians always handle my dog with care. The staff at the front desk is always friendly when I call and prompt to fulfill my requests. I would definitely recommend Kernersville Vet Hospital for all pet care needs.

Read Less

A place that NEVER returns phone calls because of its relentless pursuit of dollars. I have 3 dogs, so having a dependable vet that doesn't charge an arm and a leg, or try to trick you into getting extra tests and services is key. I started going to KVC about 4 years ago after a very bad experience elsewhere in town. I have been very happy since. The office is not ultra posh, but that's because the doctors care about animals and not getting your money to make their office decorated and furnished in high end artwork and furniture. They are straight shooters and have really taken care of us! Read Less

Staff very obviously cares about the well being of your pet. I felt the exam was thorough and not a quick once over. They do offer appointments during certain hours now.
