Very busy the day we were there. Both drs in surgery. They appear to need more staff. Pleasant and friendly though, but had to leave our dog to be seen later. We didn't get to talk directly with a vet, but were informed when we picked up our dog, 7 hrs later, that we would have to pay an office visit fee for that day and make an appt for another day to have an estimated $350-$500 surgery. I recently called them with an Emergency regarding my dog, they were not my vet but said come in immediately. I was already heading there. They took my dog back into the exam room the second I arrived. The Doctor came to see me in just a couple of minutes and broke the bad news to me and I had to make the decision to end my dogs life. Every person in the office was full of compassion and nothing but kind . They were totally professional and totally human. I will be a forever fan and a new customer when time allows me to heal. Woke up this morning to my poor pup’s face super swollen. She was having trouble breathing as well. Of course being the worried dog mom, I rushed her as soon as they opened and they got me in and in a room within 5 minutes! Dr. Brazik (pretty sure that’s his name) was SO nice and didn’t even charge me an emergency fee. These people are awesome! 10/10 would recommend and trust them with your fur babies. Read Less

Great staff who are very good with my cats. They worked in my sick kitty today and found the problems and hopefully Minnie is on the road to recovery! Very helpful to put flea meds on my kitties every time they are due without charging extra fees. Compassionate with animals and owners. I'm a fairly new customer to Leland Vet.  Ellie has been in a few times when our normal vet wouldn't work her in.  Leland Vet is always very accommodating, flexible, and willing to help.  Their prices are comparable and sometimes a little cheaper than other places in Leland, too!The staff is very helpful and friendly.  They give follow up calls to check up on Ellie when she has been sick which I appreciate because I almost always have questions for them.The building is very old and could potentially use some updating, but that just isn't something that is important to me.  I just want to know they care for my pup and will take great care of her!  So far they have! I have taken my fur babies to Leland Veterinary hospital for 6 years now (ever since I first got them). Dr. Brazik has always taken great care of my pups and he is the "dog whisperer" of Leland Vet! My babies are usually very skiddish of strangers, especially men, but they love him to pieces...can't wait to see him and crawl in his lap for kisses. I went to this vet last week with one of my family members furr baby and the staff is so helpful, super caring in every way, and so friendly (they'll love on your pets) which is awesome because the last vet I went to was just all business and stiff. My dog had a wonderful experience with Dr. Brazick removing an obstruction he had from eating a corn on the cob. Another vet office wanted to wait until the next day but they felt it was more urgent and acted quickly to save my dogs life. Forever grateful for their entire staff. My dog had been receiving routine care here since the day I brought her home. She developed cherry eye in both of her eyes and Dr. Brasik performed the procedure. From the procedure my dog had direct trauma to her cornea and developed a melting ulcer that started eating away at her cornea. She had to have aggressive medical treatment to fix this and Leland Veterinary simply said oops, I'm sorry. They didn't offer any follow up care, they didn't offer reimbursement of my money for the messed up surgery NOTHING!! Don't go here. I recently found a stray kitten and had taken her in, unsure if I would keep her or try to find a new home for her. As we have four other cats in the house and unsure what health problems she may have, I had been keeping her in a bathroom, away from the other kitties. Since I got off work early today and hadn't had time to take her to the vet yet, I figured I'd just drop in and see if they'd be able to take me. The receptionist wasn't friendly at all. She seemed annoyed that I hadn't called to make an appointment. She only spoke to me enough to fill in the computerized information they needed and tell me they'd call me when they had a room ready. The vet techs were friendly. The vet only came in to talk to me for 10 minutes and tell me the Feline Leaukemia test was negative and that the kitten seemed to have a skin infection usually gotten from scratching with fleas. I told them I'd given her Capstar to combat the fleas. They didn't really respond to that and suggested an injectable anti-bacterial for her skin. I'd specifically told the recetionist that I thought she had tapeworms (I've had experience with them in the last kitten I'd gotten and recognized the little white worm-like thing around the new kitten's anus), but none of the vet techs or vet mentioned it so I brought it up with the vet. She responded by saying they'd treat that too and leaving. The vet techs came back a bit later and gave the kitten the shots I'd agreed to, a free dose of Revolution, and a "new cat kit" which was less than informative for someone with four other cats and obviously sponsored by Revolution. When I left, the receptionist again didn't really speak to me much except to tell me my total and hand me my receipt and paperwork. All in all, I was less than happy with the the treatment I received. The vet I'd been to previously has set my pet care standards higher than what was provided today and I will not be returning here. Never Going Back. I went to have my dog looked at, as it had hair patches missing. I knew there was probably nothing they could do, which I was right about. The doctor came in and literally said 5 words to me "she is most likely allergic to flea bites" well...duh.. they offered no solution. Nothing. Went to check out and was charged $75!! for literally nothing. Receptionist rudely stated 'any time the dr goes into the room its $60.99 as that is why they went to vet school" Read Less

This vets office is awful! The office is dated and dirty. The staff is ridiculously unfriendly and rude! Especially one of the front desk ladies! The Vet barely looked at my dog when I came in for what I thought was an infection in the tail. They told me he doesn't need antibiotics. Then a few days later it got worse and worse. Went to a different vets office and they told me in fact it was infected.  They barely acknowledge you or your pet when you walk in the door. We switched to this vet last year because our other one was too pricey.  We've now moved to Wilmington but continue to go to this vet because the staff and doctors are great and the prices are much more reasonable than other vets.  And since we live downtown, it's really only a 10 minute drive (unless Leland's traffic decides it's a 45 minute drive).  Our dog was also just diagnosed with diabetes and they are so helpful and non-judgy with our "mess ups" while we learn how to keep his blood sugar stabilized. Leland Vet. Hospital has by far some of the best Vet's and staff I have ever encountered! In my travels I have used vets all over the east coast from CT to FL and the staff here have exceeded every expectation! They are not only talented as Vet's they are kind and genuine human's who truly care about how your pets are doing. They do not try to squeeze money out of you and they do not over medicate! They are so understanding and fair in every aspect! Lately I have been having some major issues with my 14 year old pit and they have been able to get us in to see a Vet within 10-20 min of me calling!
