LOVE them!! Everyone that works there is so friendly and efficient. It is easy to make appointments and they are able to work around my schedule well. I think what sold me is how they, and specifically Dr. Jan, handled a really hard situation with my sick dog which really sealed the deal for me. You can tell they truly love animals and the work that they are doing. Appointments are prompt. The extensive surgeries I have had there are exemplary particularly the owner Dr. Jan. We have taken our German Shepherd's here a few times now. We are very pleased with Dr. Julie, and I highly recommend her services. She is very friendly and great with our dogs. She helped refer us to a great orthopedic veterinary hospital in Cary to look at our male German Shepherd's shoulders and hips. When we brought our female German Shepherd in for her yearly physical she saw Dr. Allen. She was not very thorough with her and did not check her joints like Dr. Julie did with our male GS, previously. During this visit we also had Dr. Allen look at a bump on our dogs back. She aspirated it and gave him antibiotics. My husband and I later looked at the bump again and saw that there was clearly a stick stuck under his skin. The antibiotics did nothing for him except make his stomach hurt. Dr. Allen did not spend much time with my pups and did not seem to care about their wellbeing. This was confirmed when I witnessed an infuriating conversation today between Dr. Allen and a receptionist. The receptionist said a lady called in crying saying that her dog had Parvovirus. Dr. Allen said, "well did you tell her my schedule is full today? I can see her on Friday." The receptionist said, "well the dog has parvo". Dr. Allen replied, "I guess that's the reality of it." This is not what a caring doctor with integrity does with his or her patients- all she needed to do what triage and fit the dog in as an emergency visit or something. This was extremely off putting. We have been taking our animals to Lillington veterinarian clinic for many years. Everyone there has always been wonderful to us. Recently our dog Sparkles had to stay a few days to have treatment for heartworms. We were kept very informed about how she was doing. No one wants to write a review of a situation where a loved pet was lost, but it feels warranted with the compassion we experienced during a very difficult time. We recently moved to the area and when our poor sick dog, marley became very ill and we knew it was the end, I contacted Lillington vet hospital. From the moment I called, I was greeted with understanding and empathy of the situation and the best care for our sweet girl that I could have hoped for. I am writing this review on behalf of my Moma, she has used Lillington Vet Clinic as long as I can remember. They have always gone above and beyond what was expected. Recently my Moma's beloved Pepper required help crossing the Rainbow Bridge the care my Moma and Pepper received were above and beyond, they gave her time with her Pepper before and after and they also made a paw print for her to take home. I was very grateful that they could get us in the same afternoon. They have helped us through treating heartworms, a new puppy with a tough roundworm infection, a liver tumor in our senior dog that required a referral for major surgery, and many other routine visits in between. Dr. Clark was compassionate and kind when our old cat developed cancer and had reached his time to go. When I recently adopted two kittens, again, Dr. Clark and the staff made room in an already busy calendar to see one of the kittens who was sick.
