Everyone seems to be looking so hard to find something wrong with everything and everyone these days.  You won't find anything wrong with Lincolnton Animal Hospital no matter how hard you look.  These people, all of them,  the doctors,  techs,  front desk,  EVERYONE THERE, loves your pets as if they were their own.  They rejoice with you when there's good news and mourn with you when the news isn't so good.  They have literally cried with us. Truly the best animal hospital around! The entire staff have always been so friendly and kind. They take great care and go out of their way to ensure our dogs are comfortable and feel loved. They know us by name (dogs included) and take extra time to stop and see how they are doing. Dr. Jones is an amazing doctor. She has compassion for animals and takes time to exam each animal. Be careful about spending money on unnecessary procedures. The list they give you with the check boxes sometimes are more suggestionable tests or procedures, although they never really made that clear. When you are brought a sheet of paper and feeling as though this is all necessary for the well being of your pet you will be more likely to make an impulse buy, and pay for an unnecessary vaccination, or procedure, or test... While i was there in the waiting room, the nurses were aware of an emergency situation coming in, nobody was prepared to help the client at the door, whose bulldog was not breathing and was leaking, intestinal strong smelling fluid on the floor.. symptoms resembling parvo, and i did not see a rush to clean the mess properly either. I think that if you are going to be an animal hospital maybe you should invest in gurneys and have emergency protocol for situations like that. Especially when emotional clients are asked to leave through the back door as to not worry other clients. That sick dog worried me and i bleached my shoes when i got home. That is just my experience, and i will say the doctors are nice, i just don't agree with the fore-mentioned things that took place while i was there.Read Less

My heart goes to you and the other doctors who have to make those calls daily to people who, like me, are inconsolable over the death of their pet. On August 24, 2016, I brought my dog Penny to Lincolnton Animal Hospital for an examination to possibly find out the nature of her sluggish or lethargic behavior that she had exhibited all spring and summer. I was not certain that the doctor(s) could see her, being that we were from out of town. My sister insisted that I get her checked out at this facility. When I brought her in, she was immediately taken in and exterminated thoroughly with x-rays, blood tests, and other pertinent procedures. It was discovered that she had a growth in her stomach that needed to be removed immediately. The doctors explained the risks and the benefits, to which I agreed to permit the surgery to go forward. The next day, to me, the doctors performed a miracle. I got a call that the surgical procedure was complete, and upon my dog waking up, I walked in to see her standing up in a cage waiting to get out. I was so grateful that the doctors at Lincolnton Animal Hospital saved Penny's life, and extended it for as long as possible. Now we've continued our routine of neighborhood walks and playing in the back yard. I praised and thanked the doctors and facilitating medical staff over and over, and remarked that I had never seen this level of professionalism and all around care that was given to my dog. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Miller and the staff were wonderful with my son and I when he had to his 16 12 yr. old dog to sleep. Upon moving to Lincolnton in 2004, I searched for a veterinarian for my Yorkie, Maggie. I went to Lincolnton Animal Hospital and was delighted with everyone there. The entire staff has always been very helpful and pleasant. Dr. Karen Miller was the veterinarian that saw Maggie, I was impressed with her knowledge and expertise. Her caring and gentleness with Maggie really touched my heart. We both fell in love with her, as we did with all the ladies that work there! I've been to pretty much every vet in the area. When I came here, I knew I was home. The doctors, the staff, the groomers, everyone there genuinely LOVES my dogs. Our doctor is Dr. Amy Jones. She has gone above and beyond to take care of my angels. She's soft spoken, gentle, and the most kind hearted lady you'll ever meet. Dr. Miller saved my little cockapoo's life when I rushed him in with congestive heart failure. She knew exactly what to do for him and he's still going strong! I don't recommend doctors so this is a big deal for me. Also, the grooming prices are GREAT! Not to mention, if your baby should have a medical emergency at the groomer, what better place to be? Have been coming here for 5 months now, after today I will never come back!! Groomer did not again!! (different groomer) trim my Bella like I asked her to do and she did other things that I DID NOT ask for!!! Than charges me $46.33 what!!! the receptionist said sorry that's what she said. I said I could have taking her to 2 other places in Denver for $30 and that's for everything bath and all!! Are you kidding me!!! Still upset!! nail trim and trim her face is all I wanted her to do!! Top notch staff at this location-  a step above the ordinary veterinary service you receive at most places.   I've had one old dog treated for various illnesses over a couple of years and another young dog just starting as a patient there.    The doctors are nice and caring and the facility is clean.  A little more costly than some other places, but I guess you get what you pay for.   I'd recommend this place to anyone. I have taken my kittens and cats to Lincolnton Animal hospital and while the circumstances were dire, the concern and care provided by the staff was awesome. Having to have animals put down is difficult at best however the doctors were very forthcoming about the situation and provided options. I also received a sympathy card which unexpected provided me with the knowledge that I had made a great choice when selecting a animal care provider. When we take our dogs in for boarding either way it is like taking them to a dream vacation at a 5 star resort. Not only do they love to stay there, but should they become ill it is detected and treated immediately. You just cannot buy that peace of mind, they are showered with attention and love there.
