Dr. Thomas Mangum, D.V.M., and his awesome caring smart staff are the very best. So honest, very knowledgeable. Comforted me as they put my dear loving lab to sleep yesterday very gently. Have to believe Rose is in Dog Heaven now. Dr. Mangum petted Rose continuously as she went to sleep. We will miss her. Locked in our hearts now forever.

I absolutely love Dr. Mangum and his wonderful staff. Our dogs get so excited when we pull into the parking lot. They love seeing everyone there.

I believe that this man is autistic and he is slightly out of touch as its relates to the safety of his patients. He appeals to emotion by offering a "deal" on veterinary services and this is an autistic ploy related to hoarding customers and repetitive behaviours. Since there is a diminishment of quality related to increased volume of work he poses a threat to everyone that entrusts him foolishly just to save a buck. Then after he is killing your animals then all of a sudden to compensate(compensation is a key factor in bi polar) Now I must examine your pets first! Well too late you already prescribed dangerous medication that is poisonous to the pet and also to the humans that might test it to determine the safety. Well sir I tested your poisonous medication and it nearly killed me, too bad my housemates could not see the danger in it and they forced the medication on the cats that wound up killing them. It's vets like you that ruin lives you need to be in a mental institution. He's probably sublimating related to childhood experimenting with animals and it continues to this day.

Very nice vet tech and vet couldn't ask for better my dog was super scared and was EXTREMELY nervous but they calmed her down and she was able to get her full vet work up shots and not to mention my dog is a basset hound so her anxiety is through the roof and for them to be able to do such a thing it is an absolute miracle I was speechless! It was a little tricky to find but finally after going to the wrong vet we found the right place so right behind Dominos pizza it is not beside food lion lol but they are amazing

I not only bring my pets to Locust Animal Clinic, but I work for Dr. Mangum as well. The doctor is very patient and caring and spends adequate time with each client. Some of the above comments are entirely untrue of this vet. Let me clarify, an office visit is $47 dollars, and is required if your pet hasn't been examined in the past 18 months (to ensure that your pet is treated according to symptoms). Most of you that claim to have visited this particular clinic have no record on file (So thanks for the terrible review Karrina Gruendler). And after several "no show" appointments and trying to take advantage of the doctors kindnes...I guess staff would seem tough!! But I support the staff and the doctor whole heartedly. You can't find more caring individuals for the money!!

Best old school country vet you will ever find. Dr. Magnum is super amazing with my dogs. Very caring and soothing to them. He always goes through all of the options for care without even a hint of judgement when you choose a path. Extremely reasonably priced and will work you in quickly if you have an emergency.(Like your puppies picking a fight with a raccoon) Best vet ever.

Not going back. Switch my dog over to another vet in concord... there is one girl there who's attitude needs a check and cause of the experience both times they lost a customer. DO NOT GO HERE.

I miss The Services and care from past years. My Baby takes allergy medicine for yearly allergies. When she started scratching everytime she returned from walks I asked for the next level medicine previously prescribed for her comfort. I was told because she hasn't been seen since 2013 for a physical, but she was just there and had her Rabie shot, she gets no call in for refill/no new rx call to pharmacy. . So i called back because the Doctor must have left the instructions to make a physical exam appt next week..without it being said.. My dog can just...she can scratch herself into whatever til I bring her for a physical for $130.. it was never like this before.. I'm surprised and caught off guard. The compassion from the staff is not consistant.

Dr. Mangum is unlike any Dr I have ever met. He is kind and patient and knows how to treat my loved ones. He takes care of all of my dog and cat needs.

I found this vet in an emergency to put down my beloved cat of 17 yrs. They got us in as soon as possible & they were fabulous! Not only were they the most caring, compassionate, friendly, & gentle vet staff I've ever seen, they were also the least expensive! It was not an easy time for me & my little boys but they made it as painless as euthanizing a beloved companion could be. They were thoughtful & respectful like none I've ever seen! Also it didn't seem like they were in it just for the money. It's a cozy place that was nice & clean. I will be using them again for my veterinary needs & would recommend them to you!

Very nice vet tech and vet couldn't ask for better my dog was super scared and was EXTREMELY nervous but they calmed her down and she was able to get her full vet work up shots and not to mention my dog is a basset hound so her anxiety is through the roof and for them to be able to do such a thing it is an absolute miracle I was speechless! I found this vet in an emergency to put down my beloved cat of 17 yrs. They got us in as soon as possible & they were fabulous! Not only were they the most caring, compassionate, friendly, & gentle vet staff I've ever seen, they were also the least expensive! It was not an easy time for me & my little boys but they made it as painless as euthanizing a beloved companion could be. They were thoughtful & respectful like none I've ever seen! Also it didn't seem like they were in it just for the money. It's a cozy place that was nice & clean. I will be using them again for my veterinary needs & would recommend them to you!
