I want to share a recent experience that you may need to pay attention to. My mom has a cat with stomatitus so he has to go in every couple months for a cortisone shot. Yesterday she took him in, doc said it wasn't as bad this time so he needed just a cortisone shot. Upon leaving, she looked at the bill bc it was alot higher than usual. She found that she had been charged for someone else's bill as it was a different name on the invoice. Keep in mind that this happen to me last time where I had another cat that had to have an eye removed but the bill stated that it was for a spay yet with another name. Caught it last time before I was charged. This time my mom didn't. So went back and told them they had charged her for someone else. She said she would put a $40 credit on my account. She handed her the correct bill and my mom went on her way. Then checked over the bill once she was home and yet they had charged her for 2 shots when he only got one!! Called back and she said to come in today and they would fix it. Once arriving today, the lady at the desk said she knew nothing about the situation and had to end up calling to other workers to find out and the lady she called acted confused. My mom then told the lady on the phone that she called up there yesterday and she told her to come in today. Then she was like oh yeah.. So then the lady at the desk goes to talk to the doctor, comes out and says, he said he did give him 2 shots and he's about 100% sure he did. My mom said I was standing right there and I'm 150% sure he didn't! They all had a very nasty attitude like she was trying to get over on them when it was their fault for charging her for someone else's bill and then over charging her. Just admit yall messed up and fix it!! Makes me wonder how much this really happens there. The attitudes that they displayed were very unprofessional. How are yall going to treat someone that way when you messed up! Time to find another vet. Yall pay attention to your invoices!!

I called in to make an appointment and the person responded, you can come in today at 3:30pm, She insisted they had openings until 5:30p. I arrived around 3:40. (the lobby is narrow and I had to wait outside because a boxer was checking out and it appeared that my dogs and him were getting too excited.
I waited another 10 minutes in the lobby while a patient discussed their RX over the check in desk, leaving me no option to get whatever paperwork they wanted filled out until they had concluded the conversation. There was urine on the floor in 3 places. When I was able to check in, it was 10 minutes to 4pm. At 4:45pm I still had not been seen, so I left. I actually do not appreciate the fact that I had lost so much time to something so disorganized.
When I arrived home, I called and asked if that was typical of how they conduct business. I was put on hold for 4 minutes and someone returned and apologized stating that the Doctor had a busy surgery schedule that day, but keep in mind I had called to make an appointment at 3pm and was told they had openings , so the surgical appointments didn't materialize in the 30 mins from when I had called and arrived.
I inquired if this is typical of how the practice is managed. I honestly don't have an hour to waste waiting, it was unnecessary. She told me I could just drop my dog off there- I informed her that I would not wish to do that, and then she confirmed that the practice typically runs that way. A shame that they don't respect their client's time and I won't be giving them another shot.

I love Dr. Deese but please do not take your dog here for any grooming services. I dropped off my dog at 0930 in the morning. I called to check in my dog at about 1140 to see when he would be ready and was told 4 pm. Thirty minutes later they were calling me to come pick up my dog. My husband went to pick him up. My dog had been practically shaved when I asked the groomer not to shave him and his hair on his face is gapped you and not even. I feel like because I called at 1130 and complained about my dog not being ready until 4 p.m. she cut his hair like this on purpose. I will never take my dog back for grooming services and would not recommend that anyone else use them either.

Bought a shelter dog. Took it here to be spayed. Had blood tests done to which she was given a clean bill of health. Had heartworm test done to which she came back negative. Bought pain medication and heartworm pill and was told to bring her back in two weeks to get stitches removed. $275. 6 days later she didn't act like herself that morning. An hour later she was dead.

JJ is a 6 year old min. pin who is the love of my life. On Friday June 16th Jj was diagnosed with Diabetes. JJ has lost his eye site completely due to the diisease. Unknown to me Cataracks came on qui...
JJ is a 6 year old min. pin who is the love of my life. On Friday June 16th Jj was diagnosed with Diabetes. JJ has lost his eye site completely due to the diisease. Unknown to me Cataracks came on quickly due to his glucose level being so high for at least 30 days or more.I took him to the vet and was given a prescription for insulin. I was told to give him 1.5 units twice daily. Due to my own ignorance I overdosed him all weekend. On Sunday night my baby started having major seizures over and over and actually died in my arms at least once. All night long I cried out to God to please spare him as he is all I have in this world begged God to take me instead as my roommate would take care of him. JJ lost all control over his bowels and bladder and gave the death howl 3 timesSomething told me to check his sugar and it was so low it would not even read. I always have honey and syrup in the house so I just kept pouring it in his mouth and rubbing his gums with it..By doing this I was able to keep him alive until the morning when the vets office opened. I took him to Bairds Animal Hospital here in Lumberton, NC where we live. When Dr Michael Deese came in he took one look at him and knew it was a rush for time. I told Dr. Deese that I did not have any money but begged him to save my dog for me. Dr. Deese stated that this was a true emergency and told his tech Shawna to get him and take him to the back and get an IV in him.JJ was in very critical condition and was knocking on deaths door very loudly. When i say that baby was a fighter he was a true fighter, He was not ready to leave his mamma yet. The picture below is on Tuesday, and was after he had had a seizure. This was during my visit to him. Over the course of the next couple of days he had a few more seizures, but was eventually not having them anymore. JJ came home on Friday, thanks to God most of all and a true God sent man by the name of Dr. Michael Deese and his staff at Bairds animal hospital.

So, I brought our new dog Oliver to these guys for a basic neuter. Simple enough procedure. He comes back with a wicked cough that sounds like someone was yanking on his throat. He claims the dog had the cough when he was placed in his care, but total B.S. My girlfriend and I spent HOURS with this dog before we picked him out and not a single cough. Now he can't stop and the doc told me to give him allergy medication. Yeah, ALLERGY MEDS! What a quack. Never returning to this vet. The only reason I even gave 2 stars is because he has good help up front.

The ladies up front are just wonderful..The doctors are some of the vets I have ever use. Iv also used there groomer. she is the best groomer we have used. She treats your babies just as you would treat them. Too make a long story short Bairds is one of the best vets I have ever used...

I want to share a recent experience that you may need to pay attention to. My mom has a cat with stomatitus so he has to go in every couple months for a cortisone shot. I love Dr. Deese but please do not take your dog here for any grooming services. I dropped off my dog at 0930 in the morning. I called to check in my dog at about 1140 to see when he would be ready and was told 4 pm. Thirty minutes later they were calling me to come pick up my dog. My husband went to pick him up. We always take our chihuahua here for her shots and for boarding when we go out of town. Very friendly staff and makes sure your animal is taken care of. Love this place and i would recommend it to anyone.
