I have used Greenock Vet Hospital for about 25 years. They have helped us with dogs, cats, goats, chickens and horses. I will not go anywhere else! Dr. Lavie, Dr. ManWarren, Dr. Olivia, Dr. Smokey, and many many others have provided outstanding service and compassion! They are like family to us. Very educated with great ideas and suggestions for our pets' care. We have brought them some "Squirrelly" cases and they continue to step up to bat with our challenges. You can't and won't find better! Love these folks!!!!

Took my precious Dora here yesterday ( she could barely walk, had crusty paw pads). I was terrified that something was majorly wrong internally. Dr Norris came is a quickly identfied her problem and eased my mind! It is a manageable problem that we will deal with for tge rest of her life, BUT SHE IS OK!!! He gave her medication and did blood work... AND I walked out with borh my arms and legs!! The bill was very reasonable! Best part is though... MY BABY was up walking this morning!!! THANK YOU DR NORRIS and all the staff at Greenock for making me fill at ease from tge very beginning!!! WE will be back!!!

Forget checking out their credentials.They have invented new ways to take your money. No discount offered for puppy litters, anger when we bring in our own chips purchased directly from the AKC, and even more anger when we left one of the patients home.When they offered to clip nails, we asked whether or not is was complimentary as usual. No answer, so they charged $19 each (a regular groomer would charge $5 for a tiny puppy... surprise, surprise...the amount for six corresponds to what they would have charged for the one we left home.Greedy greedy greedy

My Perch X was seriously injured by a fence wire on September 1st and as I raced to the barn, I asked my friend/trainer/barn manager Lisa to call a vet that she trusted and I was fortunate that she got hold of Dr. Nick Lavie. From the first visit, through surgery and I'm sure during aftercare, my gelding has gotten the best of care that I could want from Dr. Lavie, the vet techs, office staff and of course, Dr. Smokey Puckett who was involved in the surgery. I've received t...horough explanations of every procedure and every single one of my hundreds of questions were answered willingly and with detail. I was so fortunate to be able to also watch the surgery and although it was scary, it was also extremely interesting and educational to watch the Greenock team at work. I work at a new construction builder about three minutes from this veterinary clinic. On one rainy day we found three kittens about two weeks old in one of our construction sites underneath the house....
I work at a new construction builder about three minutes from this veterinary clinic. On one rainy day we found three kittens about two weeks old in one of our construction sites underneath the house. We weren't sure if the mom had abandoned them or not but I am glad the builder took them and put them in a box because it started to pour soon after. I first called the vet to see what I should do and if they had any milk replacement formula for them. I drove there and picked up the formula and tried to feed the kittens. Unfortunately when I looked at them two of them had very bad dirt and grime crusted over their eyes. So I took them back to this veterinary clinic to see what can be done for them. They were extremely accommodating, cleaned off the kittens eyes m, fed them, gave them a bath and put them in a box with towels and kept them warm until I was able to come pick them up after work. I would highly recommend this clinic they were very caring for animals that weren't even mine.

Dr. Manwarren is an amazing vet! Most drs (for both humans and pets) are seeming to only do this job for the money. They dont care about the actual patients. But Dr. Manwarren has a true heart and passion for her animals. She was so concerned over our kitty after another vet brushed us off. She went above and beyond to help us out and to ensure Grizzly got the care he deserved. We live a little ways a way from Greenock so normally wouldnt have chosen them due to the drive, but they were the only vet who could see our kitty and we are soo glad we did. We will definitely be back with our kitty and if our dog ever has problems. Id highly suggedy seeing Dr. Manwarren at Greenock. She even gave us her personal cell phone number in case he didnt respond well to the treatment. I truly believe God lead us to her. Thanks so much!!

Have only had to visit these folks a couple of times, fortunately. The staff is always friendly and willing to either answer your questions or if they don't have an answer, they will be sure to find it for you!! We met Dr. Pucket at our last visit and I'll tell ya what - I will always, if possible, ask to have my pets seen by him. He was patient, understanding and just an awesome, laid back, gentle natured man. I will definitely return when and if need be and would also recommend this family run veterinary clinic to all of my friends and family!!!

Just started bringing our babies here and these folks have been superb. From Chester' s last moments with us, through Graham's lumps and bumps, to Miss Whiskey's first visit. It's only been a month, but their compassion with Chester, diligence with Graham's case and rock star treatment for all of our fur kids has made us not just customers but partners for our pet care needs. Went to the same place for over 20 years, 3 cats and 3 dogs over that time and not once did I ever fe...el that personal touch or empathy from the other place It's a bit further drive for us than our old place, but the kids love car rides, aren't as anxious while in the facility and the entire staff makes sure we are ALL calm and cared for. No, I would not recommend this veterinary clinic. I have been going to Greenock Farms since July 2005. I have brought all 4 of my dogs here within the last 11 years. Unfortunately, since Mrs. Puckett went home several months ago, the service and treatment has just been awful. Yesterday, I tried to pick-up my dogs Rimadyl for their arthritis. They refused to give it me. They said the dogs needed a blood test before they would refill-which is understandable. However, I was not informed prior to picking up this months meds. So, I asked for a refill until that could be done or if I could talk to the prescribing doctor. The vet tech went back and talk to the Mr. Puckett (owner/large animal vet) and he too refused to refill the script. Mr. Puckett has never had any contact with me or my dogs, as I was told before, he prefers large animals. Now, I am scrambling around trying to find a new vet and the funds to get 2 dogs seen. Ever since Mrs. Puckett past away I have had problems, from the vet not documenting properly in the chart to the rude vet techs who seem to have perpetually bad days. Thank goodness there are hundreds of Veterinary Clinics to choose from in the area.

The ashes came back after about 2 weeks or longer with no paw print. I ask and they said they would call me.. I have called there and talked to 4 people and got the run around, we will call you back but did not! Today November the 9th I called again and guess what they didn't do my girls foot print! The sheet clearly stated a paw print!!!! She said refunded the price of it, I am so upset with this...How does happen? There is no way to fix this.. she said well we refunded the cremation cost to.. so what!! That's not the point!! THIS IS THE SECOND ISSUE I HAVE HAD WITH THEM. . I'M DONE I WILL NOT GO BACK! So far it is the only place in the area where the veterinarians are honest and they know what they are doing. If they are not sure what is wrong with the animal they will tell you straight up ahead and will offer to get a second opinion. Prices are a little bit two high, but I rather pay money for their job and be sure that everything will go well, instead of saving some money by going to a cheaper place and dealing with someones incompetence.

The staff truly cares for all animals and will do their best to heal them and if that is not possible will end their suffering. I have taken in our personal pets and also stray/wild animals that are sick or have been hit by cars. It doesn't matter if they are dogs, cats, chickens, rats, and even squirrels - Greenock Farm gives them the best care possible. They are honest and knowledgeable and have always been fair in their prices as well as their practices. I will not take my pets any where else. They are the best!

I have used Greenock Farm Veterinary Hosp off and on for the last 20 years. Greenock was a great facility for the first 10 years, then Dr Pucket became ill and retired. This left Mrs Pucket to run the Hospital on her own. Over the years Greenock Farm became more and more aggressive with their billing of unnecessary charges. God forbid you have an emergency with one of your animals. You will receive a bill in the thousands. Nobody in this area uses Greenock, they are notorious for their unethical charges. A Greenock staff member told me the reviews on this site and others were created by the Greenock staff. Stay Clear of Greenock Farm if you do not want to receive an outrageous bill.

After decades of competent service Greenock has recently failed miserably in their craft. They apparently were unfamiliar with the breed standard and left docked tails too long. When asked to correct them they refused. Later a female dog began contracting for a day and half before they would grudgingly see her (all in regular business hours). By then the puppy was dead and the mother had to have an unnecessary C-section. They would not discuss charges prior to surgery. When asked because Mrs. Puckett did not think she had to. Small claims court will decide as they sued to collect for the substandard care. Why are they not a member of the better business bureau?

They were recommended to me by kennel (Happy Tails Kennel, which I also love!). It might be a little bit of a drive for anyone who lives in the city, but if you really love your pet, this is the place to go. When the vet has the time to spend almost a half hour with just you and your pet, you're in the right place. All we really needed were my dog's routine vaccinations, but Dr. Beck took all the time I wanted to get to know my dog and me. He was attentive and interested in my dog. And, again, he spent all the time I could have asked for. Big chain vets (you know who I'm talking about, PetSmart) never take that kind of time. Make the time and take a drive out to the country for the right kind of vet experience!

I have used Greenock Vet Hospital for about 25 years. They have helped us with dogs, cats, goats, chickens and horses. I will not go anywhere else! Dr. Lavie, Dr. ManWarren, Dr. Olivia, Dr. Smokey, and many many others have provided outstanding service and compassion! They are like family to us. Very educated with great ideas and suggestions for our pets' care. We have brought them some "Squirrelly" cases and they continue to step up to bat with our challenges. Took my precious Dora here yesterday ( she could barely walk, had crusty paw pads). I was terrified that something was majorly wrong internally. Dr Norris came is a quickly identfied her problem and eased my mind! It is a manageable problem that we will deal with for tge rest of her life, BUT SHE IS OK!!! He gave her medication and did blood work... AND I walked out with borh my arms and legs!! The bill was very reasonable! Best part is though... MY BABY was up walking this morning!!! THANK YOU DR NORRIS and all the staff at Greenock for making me fill at ease from tge very beginning!!! WE will be back!!!

Forget checking out their credentials.They have invented new ways to take your money. No discount offered for puppy litters, anger when we bring in our own chips purchased directly from the AKC, and even more anger when we left one of the patients home.When they offered to clip nails, we asked whether or not is was complimentary as usual. No answer, so they charged $19 each (a regular groomer would charge $5 for a tiny puppy... surprise, surprise...the amount for six corresponds to what they would have charged for the one we left home.Greedy greedy greedy

My Perch X was seriously injured by a fence wire on September 1st and as I raced to the barn, I asked my friend/trainer/barn manager Lisa to call a vet that she trusted and I was fortunate that she got hold of Dr. Nick Lavie. From the first visit, through surgery and I'm sure during aftercare, my gelding has gotten the best of care that I could want from Dr. Lavie, the vet techs, office staff and of course, Dr. Smokey Puckett who was involved in the surgery. I've received t...horough explanations of every procedure and every single one of my hundreds of questions were answered willingly and with detail. I was so fortunate to be able to also watch the surgery and although it was scary, it was also extremely interesting and educational to watch the Greenock team at work. I work at a new construction builder about three minutes from this veterinary clinic. On one rainy day we found three kittens about two weeks old in one of our construction sites underneath the house. We weren't sure if the mom had abandoned them or not but I am glad the builder took them and put them in a box because it started to pour soon after. I first called the vet to see what I should do and if they had any milk replacement formula for them. I drove there and picked up the formula and tried to feed the kittens. Unfortunately when I looked at them two of them had very bad dirt and grime crusted over their eyes. So I took them back to this veterinary clinic to see what can be done for them. They were extremely accommodating, cleaned off the kittens eyes m, fed them, gave them a bath and put them in a box with towels and kept them warm until I was able to come pick them up after work. I would highly recommend this clinic they were very caring for animals that weren't even mine.

Dr. Manwarren is an amazing vet! Most drs (for both humans and pets) are seeming to only do this job for the money. They dont care about the actual patients. But Dr. Manwarren has a true heart and passion for her animals. She was so concerned over our kitty after another vet brushed us off. She went above and beyond to help us out and to ensure Grizzly got the care he deserved. We live a little ways a way from Greenock so normally wouldnt have chosen them due to the drive, but they were the only vet who could see our kitty and we are soo glad we did. We will definitely be back with our kitty and if our dog ever has problems. Id highly suggedy seeing Dr. Manwarren at Greenock. She even gave us her personal cell phone number in case he didnt respond well to the treatment. I truly believe God lead us to her. Thanks so much!!

Have only had to visit these folks a couple of times, fortunately. The staff is always friendly and willing to either answer your questions or if they don't have an answer, they will be sure to find it for you!! We met Dr. Pucket at our last visit and I'll tell ya what - I will always, if possible, ask to have my pets seen by him. He was patient, understanding and just an awesome, laid back, gentle natured man. I will definitely return when and if need be and would also recommend this family run veterinary clinic to all of my friends and family!!!

Just started bringing our babies here and these folks have been superb. From Chester' s last moments with us, through Graham's lumps and bumps, to Miss Whiskey's first visit. It's only been a month, but their compassion with Chester, diligence with Graham's case and rock star treatment for all of our fur kids has made us not just customers but partners for our pet care needs. Went to the same place for over 20 years, 3 cats and 3 dogs over that time and not once did I ever fe...el that personal touch or empathy from the other place It's a bit further drive for us than our old place, but the kids love car rides, aren't as anxious while in the facility and the entire staff makes sure we are ALL calm and cared for. Dr Manwarren deserves a special shout out for all she's done in Graham's case. I definitely recommend Greenock Farms to everybody! Thank you all! See More

No, I would not recommend this veterinary clinic. I have been going to Greenock Farms since July 2005. I have brought all 4 of my dogs here within the last 11 years. Unfortunately, since Mrs. Puckett went home several months ago, the service and treatment has just been awful. Yesterday, I tried to pick-up my dogs Rimadyl for their arthritis. They refused to give it me. They said the dogs needed a blood test before they would refill-which is understandable. However, I was not informed prior to picking up this months meds. So, I asked for a refill until that could be done or if I could talk to the prescribing doctor. The vet tech went back and talk to the Mr. Puckett (owner/large animal vet) and he too refused to refill the script. Mr. Puckett has never had any contact with me or my dogs, as I was told before, he prefers large animals. Now, I am scrambling around trying to find a new vet and the funds to get 2 dogs seen. Ever since Mrs. Puckett past away I have had problems, from the vet not documenting properly in the chart to the rude vet techs who seem to have perpetually bad days. Thank goodness there are hundreds of Veterinary Clinics to choose from in the area.

I have been using this place since 1996 and believe me they have gotten a ton of money from me through the years with all my cats dogs September the 6th I had to have my 16 year Shepherd put down, I ask for cremation and a paw print. even paid for it! The ashes came back after about 2 weeks or longer with no paw print. I ask and they said they would call me.. I have called there and talked to 4 people and got the run around, we will call you back but did not! Today November the 9th I called again and guess what they didn't do my girls foot print! The sheet clearly stated a paw print!!!! She said refunded the price of it, I am so upset with this...How does happen? There is no way to fix this.. she said well we refunded the cremation cost to.. so what!! That's not the point!! THIS IS THE SECOND ISSUE I HAVE HAD WITH THEM. . I'M DONE I WILL NOT GO BACK! THANK YOU GREENNOCK FARM!

So far it is the only place in the area where the veterinarians are honest and they know what they are doing. If they are not sure what is wrong with the animal they will tell you straight up ahead and will offer to get a second opinion. Prices are a little bit two high, but I rather pay money for their job and be sure that everything will go well, instead of saving some money by going to a cheaper place and dealing with someones incompetence.

This left Mrs Pucket to run the Hospital on her own. Over the years Greenock Farm became more and more aggressive with their billing of unnecessary charges. God forbid you have an emergency with one of your animals. You will receive a bill in the thousands. Nobody in this area uses Greenock, they are notorious for their unethical charges. A Greenock staff member told me the reviews on this site and others were created by the Greenock staff. Stay Clear of Greenock Farm if you do not want to receive an outrageous bill.

After decades of competent service Greenock has recently failed miserably in their craft. They apparently were unfamiliar with the breed standard and left docked tails too long. When asked to correct them they refused. Later a female dog began contracting for a day and half before they would grudgingly see her (all in regular business hours). By then the puppy was dead and the mother had to have an unnecessary C-section. They would not discuss charges prior to surgery. When asked because Mrs. Puckett did not think she had to. # User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars by Skip 09/30/2008 I just stopped in at Greenock Farm Vet Hospital today and I have to say it was a great experience. They were recommended to me by kennel (Happy Tails Kennel, which I also love!). It might be a little bit of a drive for anyone who lives in the city, but if you really love your pet, this is the place to go. When the vet has the time to spend almost a half hour with just you and your pet, you're in the right place. All we really needed were my dog's routine vaccinations, but Dr. Beck took all the time I wanted to get to know my dog and me. He was attentive and interested in my dog. And, again, he spent all the time I could have asked for. Big chain vets (you know who I'm talking about, PetSmart) never take that kind of time. Make the time and take a drive out to the country for the right kind of vet experience!
