Davie County Large Animal

Mocksville, North Carolina
General Info
The initial focus at Davie County Large Animal in Mocksville centers on the room. The surface for examination purposes does not apply here. Ceiling height combined with shadow patterns and air movement function together to minimize sensory overload. Pet families throughout North Carolina detect a distinction. Animals receive pre-cue time before exams which involves walking paths to become familiar with the environment while sampling scents and establishing directional control. Architectural design of living spaces avoids symmetry which prevents pets from becoming ensnared in corner geometries. Staff members communicate from offset positions which prevent direct front-facing postures known to trigger alertness. The temperature variations are meticulously planned—entry areas remain cooler while examination zones warm up to encourage patient movement. Davie County Large Animal delivers multifaceted services including mobility tracking and long-term inflammation detection alongside early-neurological screening and organ vitality testing as well as surgical consultation and dental staging. The design of each handoff between tech and vet or from room to room ensures indirect communication. Tools emerge subsequent to initial regulatory measures without preceding presence. Initiation of the procedure occurs exclusively when respiratory patterns become uniform and eyelid movement frequency decreases. Domestic manuals feature spatial decompression zones multisensory prep kits and friction-minimized walking patterns to mitigate rebound stress. Healthcare extends beyond clinic walls into everyday life where it continues through the subtle cues patients learned during their visits. Davie County Large Animal presents a clinical model where treatment rooms integrate with patient care to promote stability through seamless transitions that minimize stress for pet owners throughout Mocksville and North Carolina.

Dr. Meeker saw my horse today who had a mild off and in lameness. He got to the root of the problem quickly and it didn’t cost a fortune. And we have a game plan to get him 100% sound and back in the show ring. I was very glad we made the 2 hour drive to his clinic. Read Less

I use Dr. Meeker for all of my lameness needs. He is always very fair with pricing, asks permission before doing things so he doesn't rack up my bill unexpectedly, and is very thorough. I've been using him for years on multiple sales horses, training horses, and my own personal horses and don't have a single complaint. Would recommend again and again. Read Less

This place is horrible. Explains why I don't ever see patients there. Should known better. The lady vet is absolutely rude and was down my throat because I couldn't think of this medicine name I was giving my horse that was prescribed to me by previous vet. Though I did call and gave her the names of it. Also didn't even look at my horse she was already wanting to do this and that for $250 then jumped to $350-400 for unnecessary testing. And didn't even look at the horse. To see what really had to be done. Just ready to charge charge charge soon as I walked in. Then I told her I'll go somewhere else just because she was so rude and down my throat soon as I walked inside. What a pity to be treated like a criminal! Didn't even help us open the door to leave! And told us to go to office to pay for just walking my dear horse inside! Read Less

I have worked with Dr Meeker, who is the best lameness vet in a radius of 150 miles, in many opinions - not just mine, for over 10 years and with about 5 or 6 horses. I find his willingness to observe and discuss, and explain a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of vets. His (their) practice facility is great and the digital radiography is a plus compared to smaller practices I can't comment on the breeding and AI practices since I have no need for that, but he stays very busy during breeding season. Dr. Waldren who practices there under her business name, Rivendell, is so personable ! i don't have exotic animals but nothing scares her from cows to llamas. She has been great support, and logical and aware of the pocketbook on my foundered horse !! Naturally they have down the routine servcies, vacs, coggins with photos, etc, down pat.. and all of the additional staff, farriers and office staff are professional and helpful. Read Less
