We took our little girl here to get her spayed and have cysts on her belly removed. The staff was amazingly gentle and warm-mannered with our baby (Monica) and doted on her as if she were their own, and were very good about answering any and all questions we had. They even called us to let us know they had found and removed an additional cyst during the operation. Not to mention, the facility is gorgeous. The waiting area is nice and spacious, and there are a few shelves of snacks and cute gifts on sale for your pet. I wouldn't trust my dogs to just anyone. This is the best veterinary establishment I've been to so far, better than anyplace I've been to in the Triad. This place is certainly hard to top. I had a friend recommend The Country Vet as I was displeased with the vet I was currently with. I treat my yorkie as if she were my child. The Country Vet staff treat her as family, as well as a few other pets I've brought to them. My furbaby receives top notch care from them and I've recommended them to anyone who asks. I was surprised to see the bad review of this facility.  I am guessing it is not a good indication when someone talks about a Parville and Raby shots instead of the Parvovirus and rabies vaccines (the appropriate names for these vaccines).  I, personally, couldn't ask for a better hospital to take care of my fur babies! They always explain exactly what is needed and love on my pets as if they were their own.  They are always flexible with my schedule and finances and always put my pets first. I started taking my animals to her facility about a year ago after switching from the Valley Animal Clinic and my one dog it took up there hope he seem to be in pain from one day to the next so I took him in there immediately and she was adamant about having all these instead of worry about my dogs pain she was more worried about Parville shots and Raby shots but anyways those shots are up-to-date in the long run but she wanted to charge me here for this in for that kind of find out it was she wanted to say that he needed back surgery for $3000 after I got home I realized that dog had a not underneath his leg I cut it out with the clipper and he never heard from that day forward I gave her the benefit of the doubt I've been took my other dog to her last week and I was telling her I couldn't afford this when they told me over the telephone or be $80 next thing you know she was saying that he has back issues so now my second dog she's diagnosed has back problems to all the sudden and he needs an x-ray for $300 which I could not afford at the time so then since I told her I couldn't afford these things she then started trying to find ways to Penny me to death while I was there so while she then said that my dog was very very dehydrated and he needed subcutaneous fluids me being a animal lover tell her OK do it so I came back for five hours later to pick my animal at the deer in that time I said I'm going to go get a second opinion so I took my dog out to Beth Eubanks up in Climmons and every diagnosis that she made on my animal what's black and white compared to what the doctor at Country Vet told me so that goes to tell you I think that these doctors are not experienced enough in their field and they need to get an older veterinarian to overlook their shoulders for this reckless malpractice Read Less

Dr. McCaskill and the entire Country Vet staff were so wonderful to my dachshund and fur baby Bella today. They were extremely welcoming for our first visit and more than willing to answer any questions I had when dropping her off for her spay. I took my 6 1/2 year old Yorkie to Dr. McCaskill for a second opinion regarding skin allergies. She has been treated for 6 years for this. I find that it is a yeast infection. With the medicines, shot, visit and everything, it was half of what I would've spent at the vet I normally go to. My Buttercup usually is shaking like a leaf for an entire visit, this time, when they brought her back in, she was not shivering and terrified, she was walking around the room investigating. The level of care that this hospital offers goes beyond any other clinic that my family has encountered before. The staff is welcoming, caring, and kind to us and most importantly, our pets. I was shocked at how compassionate Dr. McCaskill and her team was whenever my dog began going into heat stroke. Her nurse Melissa stayed after hours to ensure that my dog Bella's temperature was regulated and stable enough to go home. The Country Veterinary Hospital is one of the best clinics I have ever used and I have used veterinary clinics all across the country. All of my animals go here for routine care, but also for major issues. These veterinarians and staff at The Country Vet can handle it all. I had a dog with a foreign body that required surgery. The surgery went off without a hitch and my beloved dog made a full and speedy recovery. I also have a cat that is making frequent visits here in his battle with cancer. The staff could not be any more accommodating for my cat and myself. The veterinarians offer sound advice and only have the animals health in mind when offering advice. It has taken me almost a month to write this review. It will take a lot longer to get over the loss I endured. As long as you are going in for routine issues, you may be ok. As someone who has worked in the field for many years before switching career paths I can tell you this office leaves A LOT to be desired. Jack, my beautiful boy, died while under their care. In the end it will come down to money with them. I did the best I could, but a teacher's and a Marine's salary was not enough. I will be paying the bills off for awhile, and all I have to show for it is a dough paw print, (that was of low quality, and a card signed by people who never really knew the beautiful spirit that passed too soon. One more thing, if your pet passes in their care, bring your own box! They returned Jack in an old sheet and a thin trash bag, knowing I had a 4 hour drive to take him home for burial. And don't expect them to go out of their way for you either. They'll let you go to the emergency clinic for help, and then make you feel bad because you had to spend the money there. Sorry, but if you close every day earlier than most, and work no weekends, but have a patient that is critical, you SHOULD accommodate. Read Less

My 2 rescue huskies and I love to visit The Country Vet. I have received top-notch care and as well as very good advice on a variety of topics. The staff is absolutely delightful - I love that they love my dogs almost as much as I do! Also, I can get in and out quickly.
