We've been with the Valley Animal Clinic since the late 90s, shortly after moving to the Mocksville area. We loved having Dr. Williams as our family vet and, when he chose to retire, felt assured that he'd pick a qualified successor to take over. In Dr. Emmadi he did, an emphasis created as our dogs, patients with the clinic since they were pups, began to develop problems as they aged. All through those dire days, Dr Emmadi and his staff were awesome. The doctor did his best to diagnose the issues and treat them, the staff acted as if it was their own animal family who was suffering. When the last day came for each of our dogs; losing four of our beloved pupsters over a year; no one could have treated us better than Dr. Emmadi and his staff; helping us deal with the heartrending decision to send each of our fur family to the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Emmadi is an amazing vet--very warm and personable as well as knowledgeable. But to get to him one must sign in through a worker who is rude beyond understanding. This clinic is the best!!! Dr. Immadi has always been very informative of my pets care, he shows care and compassion to all 3 of our fur babies. The front staff has always been extremely nice and go out of their way to make you feel as though you are a part of their family at the clinic as well. PLEASE BE AWARE: I took my healthy 6 year old dog to Valley Animal Clinic to have a routine spay procedure performed. They called me about 10:30am to tell me she was out of surgery and doing fine and that i could pick her up after 4:30pm. The vet called me at 3pm to tell me he doesn't know what happened but she was doing fine so the "ENTIRE STAFF" went to lunch and when they returned she had died. So in questioning about their procedure regarding everyone being at lunch at the same time AND NOONE BEING THERE TO MONITOR ANIMALS, the vet said their procedure is if the animal wakes up after surgery they can all go to lunch. He also informed me during the procedure that she was bleeding but he was able to get it stopped. I feel that was even more reason they should have monitored her more closely. So be aware NOONE is there at lunchtime to monitor those animals who came out of surgery earlier that day. I feel that if someone would have been there to see my dog in declining health MAYBE she may have had a chance and be with me right now. Rest In Peace Maui - Mom loves you Read Less

Took our 15 year old cat to you guys today. We figured she was dying but wanted to make sure there wasn't something that could be done. Blood work was done and was told she needed some meds for her liver and special food to help her gain weight and we should force her to eat it and she should be better in a few days. And this was told to my 13 year old son. Well..$300 and a few hours later after cramming meds down her throat and some food...she died. Now I have a son who is upset and all he keeps saying is the dr lied! And my mom who crammed that food down her throat during the cats last hour on Earth instead of letting her die peacefully. My family feels like all you guys cared about was getting our money knowing there was no hope for our skeleton of a cat. We were regular customers there my whole life under Dr. Williams. No more. Use to be a great place when Dr Williams was there. New vet has let my mom's dog die and didn't detect a cancer/tumor in my grandmother's dog after months of something being wrong with him even after several blood test were done. We rescued a toy poodle and he was being cared for at a vet in Advance. He had saliva stains on his feet & rear end from continuous licking. The former vet said, "it's his diet." This continued for several years. We moved to Mocksville and changed vets. Dr Dan immediately suspected a parasite, and began treatment. Our rescue was cured within weeks and he looks & feels healthy, with an improved appetite. Dr Dan is a miracle worker. Highly recommended. Read Less

Our Gator Baby fell I'll suddenly. They tried everything they could gor him. When we decided to put him to rest, they were very considerate. They made sure we had time to say good-bye and made it as comfortable as they could for all of us. We believe it was as hard on them as it was for us. Very emotional. They took care of Gator to have him cremated. We had a beautiful box returned to us with his ashes and his info on the box. Thank you for helping us through a very difficult time. Very good local vet clinic.  Been in business since 1987 so they know what they are doing.  Primarily treat cats and dogs.  No exotic animals.  They have treated multiple pets of mine and I have been very satisfied.  Prices are on par with other vets and maybe slightly cheaper than vets in larger cities.Another thing I really like about this vet clinic their web site.  Very well done for a small town vet clinic.  Most places in these small towns have little to no online presence.  You can schedule an appointment online as well as check out "how to" and instructional videos on your pets.  Very well done.Highly recommend. I love this place. I have taken my dog Tink twice to here and they treat her with so much care, My mom took her dog when her dog's pelvis was broke and the meds they gave her has got her dog back to being almost 100% in a week. I would definitely recommend this place. Read Less
