Fantastic! Dr. Jacobs has come to our home several times for elderly animal health care and euthanasia. Our beloved Border Collie was able to be euthanized while lying in his favorite outside spot.

In November of 2012 our 15 year old keeshond was terminally ill with renal failure.  She was terrified of veterinary visits so we asked around to see if veterinarians made house calls.  We were referred to Maple Veterinary Mobile Services and Dr. Jacobs.  We are so happy to have found her!  She was able to give excellent advice to improve our poor girl's quality of life in her final days.  When it was time, Dr. Jacobs was able to send her to the bridge in comfortable and familiar environment surrounded by those that loved her.Dr. Jacobs is now the veterinarian for our two current dogs... a keeshond named Patton Pepperpot and a rescued Australian Cattle dog mix named Sprite.  We've had a few health concerns and Dr. Jacobs is ALWAYS available to offer very helpful tips and advice.  She absolutely loves animals and it shows.  What is most important is that our animals also love and trust her.I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs for her compassion and expert medical advice and her ability to diagnose and deliver services in my pet's home where they are comfortable and at ease.  Dr. Jacobs is always willing to go the extra mile and shows genuine interest in the well-being of our fuzzbutts and for that she will always be our vet. We met Doctor Jacobs by pure luck! I was having problem with my foot and couldn't take my sick dog to the local vet. He had multiple sores and opened wounds on his legs and was limping real bad. I called around and Doctor Jacobs was recommended by another Doctor. I called her and she came over the same day to exam my dog. She put him on antibiotic and he showed progress and was getting better but after a week or so his progress stopped and had more sore spots. I called Doctor Jacobs and she worked him in in her very busy schedule. After giving him another exam at NO CHARGE she suggested we need to do blood work in order to possibly find the source of the sickness. At this time I was feeling a bit better and decided to take him to the local clinic in hopes of doing the blood work and get the result right away. After taking him to the local vet the Doctor was very puzzled by his sickness and said blood work should show us if his internal organs are working and if there are any blood related infections. They did the blood work, took urine samples and ultrasound and could not find anything that pointed to what the sickness and the cause of it was! Local vet said this is not an easy case and they haven't seen anything like it! I was told that she will consult with other Doctors and get back to me. I had a call from the vet the following Monday and after consulting with other Doctors she suggested that the next step is to do a biopsy $$$$$! Since I had felt very comfortable with Doctor Jacobs I picked up the phone and called her and asked for her opinion. She told me that she feels more comfortable to do a "Culture & Sensitivity" test first before putting my dog through anesthetics and stressing him even more. She asked me to read on about the Culture & Sensitivity test and then let her know if I feel comfortable with this test. I was sold on her diagnosis and suggestions from day one and trusted her recommendations 100%. Again after I decided to go this route and don't take the local's vet recommendation, she came over promptly as always and took a sample to be cultured. Meanwhile during these times she always emailed or call to check on my dog to see how he was doing and offered help every time. She kept updating me via email in regards to Culture testing and many thanks to her we found the cause of his illness and the sores being from couple of different bacteria. She called in a prescription for my dog and he is now on the right medication that hopefully kill the bacteria causing his illness. If I would have taken the local's vet suggestion doing the biopsy first it would have cost a lot of money and with NO RESULTS since the bacteria will not show on the biopsy. I cannot praise Doctor Jacobs enough, she is the most loving and caring person that I have ever met and the love that she has for animals. If you read these comments you probably think I am either related to her or am a close friend! I CAN assure you that this is the first time that I have met Doctor Jacobs but NOW she is a friend. I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work and care that she showed toward my dog. If you have a cat or a dog and love your animals please DO NOT waste your time and give her a call! Doctor Jacobs if you read these blogs I want you to know myself and my family are very grateful to know you and glad we have a new vet to look after our dog. Thanks againKamran E. Read Less
