I have a purebred Ragdoll & called once I got him home to schedule an appointment a few months ago to get the rest of his shots. Mind you, I bought him from a reputable breeder in Charlotte with a contract saying he was tested & proven to be HCM negative, and had already had his first two sets of shots & was negative for everything. I JUST needed boosters. Also needed FIP taken out of boosters, because it has been proven to show a false positive in ragdolls later in life (most vets in NC know this). Also had my dads cat I was looking to get shots for as he had previously been an outdoor cat (no longer), but didn't want him to make my kitten sick. Anyways, called the vet tech to schedule an appointment, thinking it would be no big deal to get all of this stuff done. She had the worst attitude with me, and seemed to know nothing when i expressed to her that my cat was already tested & proven to be HCM negative & also had already had his first two sets of shots, as proven BY a vet. She could've at least talked me into getting in there FIRST and see what the vet says? You would think. She also told me that I would need to test my dad's cat AND vaccinate him. Whatever, I didn't care about that. The PRICE for all of this, she estimated to me? About $550!! She said they would have to test my kitten for all of the things that the contract stated he was absolutely negative for, give him ALL of his shots (are you ** kidding me?), test my dad's cat AND vaccinate him, too. Don't go here if you don't like getting tricked into overspending on already expensive vet visits.Hence, I didn't go to my appointment. I am not delusional. I don't have that money to waste. I just graduated from college. I live literally 3 minutes from this place & the attitude I got from this vet tech was enough to make me never go here EVER. Actually, her attitude was so bad, I didn't even feel like going through the explanation process with another vet tech in Pfafftown, so I drove to Charlotte, to my cat's original veterinarian who gave him his shots as a baby. They ended up giving him the shots he needed, doing a fecal test, & just testing my dad's cat, because shots would be an unnecessary expense for me, especially if he is negative for everything. Did I mention, his breeder is a retired veterinarian? Ha ha. Bill was about $250. Unfortunately I have to drive to Charlotte for this caliber of service. Actually ended up getting my kitten's half-sister from the same breeder this past Winter, & drove her to Charlotte for all of her visits as well. Pfafftown missed out on a loyal customer! Read Less
