We've boarded our dog there twice and will return.  The price is right and they even play with my dog.  Other places just board and let the dogs have play time with other dogs or walks, all for a separate charge.  Staff are friendly and caring and the vet took a lot of time during our first office visit to answer questions. All four of our pets (three dogs and a cat) have been patients, and we've had nothing but the best care. They nursed our little dog back to health after a vicious attack, and they helped our old dog leave this world in a comfortable and easy way. I love this place!  Been going here for almost 10 years since moving from the West Coast and Dr. Weiser and staff have always been the best.  They're wonderful with my 3 kitties (2 now 15yrs+ and new one 1yr+) but they treated my oldest baby (and me too!) so lovingly, as we visited 3x a week for fluids for a couple yrs+ until we had to send my best kitty over the rainbow bridge. We've become friends throughout and I'll just pop in to say hi without any of my furry children in tow, as I've missed our weekly chats.  I recommend PBO Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, friendly atmosphere, where your furry child is their priority...as they are yours.  They truly are wonderful and I'm glad me and my kids found them!  Thank you everyone! My experience here was very saddening. I would not reccomend taking your pet here. They tested my dog for parvo without my permission/consent. I told them specifically not to do that test then because I did not have the cash for the exam plus the parvo test fee. I confronted them about it and they said well you have to pay it anyway. And I did. And never will ever come back. They are greedy for money. And the staff was unprofessional unfortunately. I reccomend going to a vet worth your time. Laurie is outstanding...I routinely contact her for whatever issue my vizslas are having and she always gets back to me promptly... Just had her call me on a Sunday (her only day off) while I was at the emergency vet for a jammed toe on my little girl Chloe. This type of care and service is why i make multiple referrals to the folks at pah. Good business practice is 50% what you do in the office and 50% how you treat your customers when they aren't paying a bill. I picked up a puppy from Chatham County Animal Shelter in August and was given a few options places to take my new best friend to get her first physical exam, shots, and spay. Someone else at the shelter recommended Pittsboro Animal Hospital, and I'm so glad we took her advice! Dr. Weiser is always on time, her prices are totally reasonable, and she is as smart as a whip! After she diagnosed my dog with mange, she gave us some medication, diet suggestions, etc and answered all of my questions. I've had plenty of other questions as a new pet owner and she has taken the time to talk through every detail with me, from food choices, to ways to give her different types of medication (liquid, ointment), and always gives my pup tons of hugs when we visit.Scheduling appointments has never been a problem and they always keep us up-to-date with her records and any shots she needs to have. The staff is also really friendly- my dog loves everyone there and never wants to leave! I think, no matter where you take your pet, it's important to feel comfortable with the people that care for your fuzzy little pal.I totally trust her medical advice and even though I live up in Carrboro, I will be taking my pup to Pittsboro for as long as I live here. 5 stars and worth the drive!
