The doctor was very friendly but their services were not competitively priced. We were charged an exam fee everytime we were seen (within 2 months) which added $50 to the charge even for simple visits like routine vaccine boosters. We had our dog's nails trimmed our first visit which was a $50 charge for 10 minutes of work. Not that I don't appreciate it, but any other vet I've been to offers it free or for a small fee. We had a 45 minute wait for a scheduled appointment on our first visit. I'd recommend elsewhere, nothing they provide is exemplary but they charge as if they are a standout location. Read Less

We've only been taking our dog here for a short time but they have been FANTASTIC! Having been a vet tech for years I am extremely picky about how my pets are treated and I was very impressed with this clinic. Everyone is always pleasant, helpful, and thorough - both techs and DVMs. Our dog can get a little nervous at the vet but she has done great here and they have been very accommodating to her needs. We signed up for the yearly health plan and ended up having to cancel because we're moving out of town, and they were so helpful in getting it canceled and making sure we got our money's worth out of what we had already paid for the plan. We have one dog and multiple cats so we have seen all of the doctors!  We had one of our cats pass away a few years ago and they sent us a care with each employees condolences. I've been taking my puppy here for about 3 months, and my experience has been absolutely wonderful. I've had various interactions with Dr. Simpson, Dr. Conley, and Dr. Hunter (the majority with Dr. Conley), and all three have been spectacular. They don't just rush in and out, each of them has spent time really trying to help. Dr. Simpson sat on the floor with me and my puppy for 10 minutes the first time I brought him in giving me a "how to handle your new puppy" crash course. Dr. Conley spent 15 minutes helping me learn the best way to train my dog to walk on a leash. Dr. Conley and Dr. Hunter have helped me over the phone during their emergency hours. That aspect is obviously no fun for anyone, but they both spent time with me over the phone, making sure everything was ok and not just trying to rush to hang up, which would be totally understandable when I'm calling on the weekend! The vet techs and front desk have been so friendly, and have been very willing to help with whatever I need when I call in. They've also checked up on my dog a couple days after I've had to bring him in for issues. Everyone there obviously loves the animals they're seeing. The prices have been completely reasonable, and being set up with the PetDesk app is a nice touch. There are always other clients there, but they have always been able to get me an appointment whatever day and rough time I've needed. All in all, I absolutely could not be happier! Read Less

My rescue dog has some pretty interesting health problems, and we've had to do a fair amount of research getting him to a happy place. We boarded our German Shepard there over the weekend and I would never recommend going there again, this was our first boarding experience and it was awful. When I dropped my dog off, I asked if he would get to go out and play with all the other dogs during the weekend and the vet tech told me yes they take him out 3 times, she made it seem like he would be out playing with the other dogs during the day. She nor any of the other employees at the counter never mentioned to me daycare was a completely separate cost than boarding so I had no idea & of course I would have paid extra for this. Come to find out when we picked him up yesterday he was never out to get any exercise, they just let him out to use the bathroom and then put him back, so he was in a crate couped up all weekend and not to mention he was SOAKING WET on his butt and hind legs when we picked him up like he was sitting in water/or pee the whole time. He smelt terrible and we had paid for a bath. The vet did call on Friday to let us know he had a bath that day so there was no way he was still wet from that 2 days later.I have to edit my review, the manager called and explained everything to me to try to fix the situation and that I really appreciated, they do have great customer service. This is a wonderful vet clinic. I take my cat to see Dr. Simpson and she is the best vet I’ve ever used. I have a very old cat so urgent health problems happen with little notice. I get an appointment with her same day. She (or one of the staff) always calls the next day to see how my cat is doing. She calls with lab results even outside of business hours. We recently moved to the area and needed a new vet and boarding facility. We found Complete Pet Care on Yelp and decided to give them a try for our senior beagle, Sadie. We boarded her several times  for out of town trips and were extremely happy with how well she was taken care of while we were gone. Their rates were extremely reasonable and you can add on a bath or doggie daycare to your stay. This past Saturday (12/2/2017), we had to put our sweet Sadie to sleep. She was 17 years old with a severely arthritic back and deafness. The care that was shown to us during this process is why I would 100% recommend Complete Pet Care to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian practice. We were given ample time to say goodbye and allowed to hold Sadie while she took her last breaths. The on call vet and vet tech on premises explained every part of the process clearly and with kindness. Today we received flowers from all of the doctors and staff. I have recently started taking my 8 year old dog here and we were lucky enough to get Dr Kathleen Hayes as our Dr. Precious was alone in our trlr when we had the tornado years ago and because of that she has PTSD where she shakes real bad and everything when it comes to thunderstorms. She was taking one medication, before the onset of a storm, however it quit working and we had a horrible time Monday night with the storms. I called the vet the next day to get something else and they were busy. Dr Hayes went above and beyond and called me from home at 8:00 PM to make sure I had something new in case I needed it that night or the next day. We have been clients of Complete Pet Care for over 8 years now. Our first dog, Arthur was a frequent visitor for daycare , grooming and boarding. He never seemed to mind trips to the vet! Our rescue uses CPC soot was a natural transition! ( and believe me rescues are quite picky about the care their fosters recurve). They recognized our guy the first time he was there! We have been using Complete Pet Care for 3 years. They have been so good to us and our babies. Our poor Gizmo died in June but if it weren't for Dr. Simpson and her willingness to keep trying to find ways to treat his congestive heart failure we would have never had him for so long. We take our cats and puppy to Complete for all their medical needs. The staff is always friendly and if your family member is in need of care they are genuinely concerned with their well being as well as yours as they know it is an emotional time for all involved. We have never had a problem getting an appointment that fits our needs or our schedule. This practice is amazing! Our 13 yo Boston Terrier Lucy was in respiratory distress and we thought maybe this was IT. We called them on a SUNDAY. The nicest Doctor met us there, tested, diagnosed and treated her for a minor heart valve problem, gave her a diuretic, and she was SO much better in an hour with a good prognosis. Since my girlfriend's family takes their two dogs here, I brought our new puppy in for his second vet visit (follow up shots) and from the minute I walked in, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd never set foot in a vet before as this is my first pet and was immediately glad I came here. Very clean office (even a little turf spot out front if your dog needs to go) and the nurse who took us to our room even sat on the floor with my pup to examine him! After that, had the shots done, nails trimmed, and all my questions answered! Even got a new puppy packet with samples of a few products and a wealth of information. PLUS, had a question the next evening at 8:30 and was told to call the vet on her cell - which she gladly answered and helped out! Very impressed!!! Will definitely be coming back here for future visits!ONLY DOWNSIDE (minor one at that): if you're contemplating their health plan (year long coverage of basics), make sure you sign up BEFORE you pay anything. I paid $150 all said and done and then found out that everything would've been covered and cannot be retroactively applied - 60 seconds had lapsed! May bring this up if we decide on signing up (wanted to discuss with my girlfriend first), otherwise, make sure you sign up first, then pay your bill!All in all, thank you to everyone at this location! We had a great experience at Care First. I like the option to book an appointment online or call. The front desk personnel was very friendly - even though I was slightly late. I thought I was going to be scolded for letting too much time pass between visits but they were very kind and let me know both what my cat needed and what was optional. I did not feel pressured to get every test done (I've experienced this at other vets feeling like I was an animal hater if I didn't do every test/shot/exam). AJ was the vet that we had and he was professional and personable. Our kitty can be a pain to deal with but he and his staff were top notch. Great place with great prices! I have a lot of anxiety leaving my dog anywhere, but with friends and family. However, everything about Carefirst puts me at ease. The staff is always very friendly and are willing to answer all your crazy, pet-parent questions while you are away. $30 for one night with three mini play sessions and a bath and toenail trim. Plus, it's only $15/day if you want to add daycare to boarding.  My boyfriend and I love everything about this place and we've stopped going to Banfield because Carefirst provides the best care on this side of Raleigh. Would not take my animals here even in a extreme emergency. My cat was brought here when she slipped out of my house. I got the tip from one of my neighbors when they saw my signs. i called Care First and they wouldn't give me the time of day to speak with me, and insisted that they had not had a female black cat brought in the day before. They stated a black male cat (wearing a pink collar, same as my cat) who was turned in was micro chipped, and returned to it's owner per the contact information on the microchip. They were EXTREMELY rude on the phone, and would not give me the time of day even though I told them I would be willing to wait on hold as long as needed or could give them my number for them to call me back if that was not a good time. Continued to tell me they were unable to help me and basically hung up the phone on me without taking my contact information.My mother, who had been a client of theirs for YEARS, and spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this office called, getting a much warmer conversation than I did. However they gave her the same story....male cat brought in(wearing a pink collar), identified by microchip and returned to owners who had picked the cat up the day before.Come to find out it was my cat all along. Care First had sent my cat home with some random person, and then called my mother to let them know the people had now returned the cat, stating it wasn't the right cat....First, I would NEVER feel comfortable taking my animals to a vet where they can not determine a male from a female cat (again, wearing a PINK COLLAR). I feel this is extremely basic.Second, the behavior of the receptionist was amazingly rude, there is simply no other way to put it. Third, the fact that they bold faced lied about scanning for a microchip also amazes me. My cat is micro chipped, in the exact location where she should be(the chip has not migrated), with all the correct and up to date contact information on the chip. We board our dog here & have brought dogs & cats in for checkups.  Note--our dog is high fear/can be difficult to work with & I'm always so impressed with the staff here.  I'm most grateful for how they handled him during an emergency situation last year (he was playing fetch in the back yard and somehow got a large splinter embedded in his side--it was awful & occurred after hours).  Care First was amazing--not only did they do a great job getting our pup back into shape, but the cost was far lower than I ever expected.  Highly recommend these folks to anyone with pets in the N. We have boarded our dog at this location many times over the last three years. She always receives excellent care and attention.
