I recently switched to this practice for help with my recently diagnosed hyperthyroid cat based on a recommendation from someone whose cat has the same issue. I have been SO impressed with the professionalism, care, kindness, and facility so far. First of all, the place has no smell. If you had no idea you were walking into a vet practice, you would never guess from the smell. Secondly, they don't price gauge. My first visit they had a special of $1 exam for new patients. They spent a lot of time with us. The 2nd visit they needed a urine sample and she didn't produce so I asked if I could keep her there until they got it. They asked if they could give her subcutaneous fluid to help it along if needed, and I said yes. They did so, and they got the sample a few hours later and they did not charge me for either the fluids or the extra time she was there. This is hands-down the best practice in Raleigh (client for over 10 years) because they balance clinical excellence with true, deep-down compassion. My cat had serious digestive issues until they nailed the diagnosis and put him on a miracle med that gave him another two years of life. And, when the drug stopped working, they were there for us too, in one of those difficult conversations a pet owner hopes to never have. Dr Bridges presented all the options, gave me his opinion of what was going on at an appropriate level of detail, and respected and supported my decision to stop pursuing treatment. We have been using FVV for a few years for both of our dogs, mainly out of convenience, as it it so close to our home. Luckily our dogs haven’t needed that much over the years, but recently we noticed that when we did have an issue, they automatically wanted to go the most invasive route instead of at least trying the less invasive first. With this, we also noticed that the amount we were being charged was astronomical! We will pay just about anything for our dogs, but it just didn’t seem right. Our older dog had a spot on his neck that needed to be removed and biopsied and after we got the estimate that quoted $1,000 on the high end, we decided to get a second opinion and thank goodness we did! Not only did this vet take the least invasive approach, the estimate we got quoted $500 on the high end, which was including the possibility of having to take a more invasive approach to remove the spot. And the staff at the new vet was amazing! They carried our sweet boy out so he wouldn’t tug on his leash and even took him to my car without me even having to ask! Even if you love FVV, I would double check their prices next time you get an estimate for something! Read Less

I've tried several vet clinics in Raleigh, and Falls Village is by far the best one. My cat was having severe digestive and orthopedic problems, and they saw us weekly for several months. Dr. Bridges is the BEST vet, and I owe my cat still being here to him. He was very concerned about my cat and me and went out of his way to make sure I understood what was going on. He called me to give me updates after hours and genuinely cared about making my cat feel better. He also spent a lot of time researching her symptoms and coordinated with other vets for advice. There is no cure for my cat's illness, but Dr. Bridges has made her comfortable and managed her symptoms. I HIGHLY recommend this vet clinic! Read Less

Been bringing pets to FVV since 1974, when Dr Ellis had just opened his practice behind Falls Village Shopping Center. I would never bring my pets anywhere else. Love this place and the vets---Dr. Lewis ( retired), Dr. Brink are the BEST in the field. I would not stay with a vet office for 43 years if I did not think they were the best for me and my animals. I have been bringing my dogs there for about 10 years now, I am a breeder of Labradoodles. This hospital gives exceptional care of all and they do it with compassion. This past week, I had to let my very first Labradoodle cross over the Rainbow Bridge as she had a really bad cancer. I would NEVER take my dogs anywhere else again. This place is responsive, helpful, knowledgable and caring towards my huskies. One of which is a bit of a handful and they work to help him have positive experiences unlike your typical corporate vet who would recommend sedation. They posted that they were closed until 1:30 for a meeting. I didn't get in until 1:50 after a rude lady (1:45) said it would be a little bit. I've taken my dogs there for over 10 years but not anymore. I rescue dogs and understand why this is not where we take them now. An apology does not make up for rude treatment. I've been taking my cats to Falls Village for years and have had consistently great experiences. When my buddy Owen had a stroke in 2010 and had to be put down, they were kind and compassionate, not even charging me for the euthanasia.In the past few months I have had a cat diagnosed with feline epilepsy and an allergy to the most common antiseizure med, both of which are very rare, and Dr. Sherrod in particular has been wonderfully helpful and patient with my obsessive worry, doing research on her own and working closely with the NC State Neurology department to help get my kitty stabilized. The doctors there will always return my calls promptly when I have questions and they are able to work us in for appointments on little to no notice, even if the schedule is full. Gatti has been a regular at Falls Village for over 2 years now and we will never go sanywhere else. Dr. Susie saved his life, literally, and the care of all the vets and staff is the best. We live an hour away, but we can drive to Raleigh, be seen, and be back home in less time than we had to wait at our old vet. I always get to talk to a "live" person and never have to leave a message. I love the patient portal where I can check on all of Gatti's current meds and treatments and can make appointments online...it just doesn't get any better...and Gatti loves them, too!! Read Less

This place is amazing! I recently switched from my old vet who I've been seeing for more than 10 years. My dog was diagnosed with Kidney failure and my old vet told me nothing about it. Basically just hinted to have him euthanized. I'm so glad I found Falls Village and got a second opinion, I have met everyone there and they are great! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The vets answered all of my questions and talked to me about my dog's progression over the phone. They answered everything in great details (unlike my old vet) and gave me suggestions on what to do for my dog. They even printed out recipes for me and gave me amazing discounts on Sub Q fluids until I could do them myself. (My old vet was charging $60 each sub Q injection, Falls Village only charged me $15) plus they gave me free needles once I learned how to do it myself. Everyone there really goes above and beyond to help the pet and make sure the owners understand everything. I would HIGHLY recommend this vet. Read Less

I am so glad that I found this vet! Dr. Brink has been wonderful to my dog. He has a lot of health problems, and the last vet he went to did not seem to help. They just wanted to charge a lot of money, and not suggest anything. Everyone is so helpful and nice at Falls Village. Our dog has shown great improvement since he has been a patient there.
