Ansede Animal Hospital is a small family run veterinary hospital dedicated to providing people with high quality medical primary care that is affordable for caring families. We pride ourselves in giving a personal connection instead of a cold, corporate atmosphere. We strive to provide the best care with experts in surgery and ultrasonography but also make quality care attainable for those of more modest means.
We are practical and do not use guilt as a method of client education. We want the best for all pets, but we also realize that not all pets have the same resources as others.

Although Lake Wheeler is a bit of a drive away, we decided to bring in our very sick cat after hitting a wall with treatment at another vet, whose recommendation was euthanasia. Dr. Grant listened carefully to all questions and concerns during an incredibly difficult time, and was committed to giving our baby the very best chance at health and recovery. Along with in-house diagnostics, her own experience and expertise, and a generally gentle/easy way with animals, Dr. Grant has access to some fantastic resources (pathologist, ultrasound specialist, in this case) when needed, and without outrageous expense. Her support staff is friendly and communicative. Ultimately, her commitment and patience to walk us through resulted in a complete recovery and we could not be more grateful!
Dr. Grant is sincerely knowledgable and committed to thorough care, and I trust that at Lake Wheeler the health and well-being of my pet will come first. Well worth the drive.

I absolutely love Dr. Grant and the entire staff!! We have been taking our pets there 22 years. Excellent care from the everyday basics to emergency care. We had a put viper bite Bayley boy in the face. My husband called and rushed him in they were ready to treat the minute he arrived thankfully everything was taken care of and he recovered. Now that he is older he has developed diabetes and they have been there for us again... we have quite a few visits to keep it in check. Lake wheeler staff is always happy to see is. Knows who we are and calls to check in when his sugar goes high. Thanks to Tiffany, Ashley and everyone else. We love you guys.

My dog has been going here for almost 10 years! They are always kind and courteous, we adopted another dog, and unfortunately had to deal with some difficult issues, with out newest family member. This was a very trying, and taxing time in my husband's and I's life, without Dr.Sandra there I don't think I could of made the educated, and correct decision. Also the whole staff is full of winners, and the price of care can't be beat!!! Amazing, and Bully friendly!

First of all i want everyone to know this review isnt because Dr.Grant,Tiffany and all the staff took car of my family member so well yesterday...... this is for approximately 24 years of the best service with all of our babies and for us the other side of stressing when our babies are sick.we always feel like we are taking them to the best vet in nc.they always take the best care of them. Not that we havent lost some of our babies from age,cancer whatever came our way .Dr. Grant has always cared for us just as much as our babies. We are so blessed to have them in our lives,we love them all!!!

I have been taking my two kitties, and several other animals, to Dr. Grant for 15 years. She and her staff have always been very compassionate, friendly, and helpful. She takes plenty of time to explain her findings, her staff is helpful with all of my calls and questions, and I feel that my pets receive the best care. When I had to put my oldest cat to sleep this year, she planned a time so that I could be there without other patients around, giving me time to grieve...and she grieved along with me. Dr. Grant and her staff are amazing in my book!

Seriously the BEST veterinary office!! We were previously going to another vet but we quickly had to switch due to mistreatment of us and our sweet puppy. We came across Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital and I swear they have been our family's guardian angels. Our sweet puppy that we had rescued was having a few issues and Dr. Grant immediately knew what was going on and began helping to get him back on track. You will never feel like you are just another customer here, as soon as we walked in for our first appointment we felt like we were a part of their family. Dr. Grant and the entire staff are incredibly knowledge and extremely caring. I could never thank them enough for letting me call an obnoxious amount of times because I'm being overprotective with our puppy and them being so supportive every time. Thank you so much for helping us, you guys have no idea the world of difference you have made for us!!!

Dr. Grant and staff love and respect their patients and their patients owners. They appreciate you and truly love your animals. The evidence is in the follow up call. Not many places do this but they do!!
I had to say goodbye to my best friend in August. She was sick for months so we had weekly visits. In these visits not only did they care for my pet to make her as comfortable as possible but they helped me cope with the reality of what was to come. Life without her. My sweet Veda passed peacefully in my arms surrounded by Dr. Grant and her staff who she had known and loved for 10+ years. It wasn't just my loss that day, it was theirs too. Dr. Grant called me weekly after Veda's passing with love and support and sometimes silly messages just to let me know I was in her thoughts. It would be impossible to ever feel taken advantage of when this level of care is given. It is worth everything!!

I had a trusted friend and we had been together for almost 14 years. I had to do the unfortunate and put him to rest. Dr. Grant took my boy away walking then brought him back into the room in the arms of an attendant. I could not comprehend what they were doing but she gassed my dog first before he was put to sleep. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye and I will forever hold her to the cold heart individual she is. I hope her business fails and she goes back to whatever she does better than animal care.

Dr. Grant and her staff are wonderful. She takes amazing care of my "family members" and I will always return to her practice because she understands how important these animals are. She was able to diagnose my dog with a serious condition early in his life, and most certainly extended it. He is a happy and healthy boy now - and anytime he does get ill, her door is always open. She is also quick to respond to issues through messaging if her office isn't open (after hours). She and her staff are open and honest and have always been welcoming to all in my family (humans and animals alike!). I highly recommend Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital!

I have been taking my two kitties, and several other animals, to Dr. Grant for 15 years. She and her staff have always been very compassionate, friendly, and helpful. She takes plenty of time to explain her findings, her staff is helpful with all of my calls and questions, and I feel that my pets receive the best care. When I had to put my oldest cat to sleep this year, she planned a time so that I could be there without other patients around, giving me time to grieve...and she grieved along with me. Dr. Grant and her staff are amazing in my book!

Seriously the BEST veterinary office!! We were previously going to another vet but we quickly had to switch due to mistreatment of us and our sweet puppy. We came across Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital and I swear they have been our family's guardian angels. Our sweet puppy that we had rescued was having a few issues and Dr. Grant immediately knew what was going on and began helping to get him back on track. You will never feel like you are just another customer here, as soon as we walked in for our first appointment we felt like we were a part of their family. Dr. Grant and the entire staff are incredibly knowledge and extremely caring. I could never thank them enough for letting me call an obnoxious amount of times because I'm being overprotective with our puppy and them being so supportive every time. Thank you so much for helping us, you guys have no idea the world of difference you have made for us!!!

Our little kitty got bit by a snake recently. Dr. Grant and all her staff were very caring and knew just how to treat her. She is healing up wonderfully!! She ended spending a couple nights at the office; they called twice a day to give me updates and answer any questions I had. Pricing was very reasonable! Thanks Dr Grant!

HUGE HEARTS with KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE
Dr. Grant and staff love and respect their patients and their patients owners. They appreciate you and truly love your animals. The evidence is in the follow up call. Not many places do this but they do!!
I had to say goodbye to my best friend in August. She was sick for months so we had weekly visits. In these visits not only did they care for my pet to make her as comfortable as possible but they helped me cope with the reality of what was to come. Life without her. My sweet Veda passed peacefully in my arms surrounded by Dr. Grant and her staff who she had known and loved for 10+ years. It wasn't just my loss that day, it was theirs too. Dr. Grant called me weekly after Veda's passing with love and support and sometimes silly messages just to let me know I was in her thoughts. It would be impossible to ever feel taken advantage of when this level of care is given. It is worth everything!!

I had a trusted friend and we had been together for almost 14 years. I had to do the unfortunate and put him to rest. Dr. Grant took my boy away walking then brought him back into the room in the arms of an attendant. I could not comprehend what they were doing but she gassed my dog first before he was put to sleep. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye and I will forever hold her to the cold heart individual she is. I hope her business fails and she goes back to whatever she does better than animal care.

Doesnt tell us we would need multiple treatments for a tapeworm gives us one dose to take home, dog pukes up half the dose then we call to try and aquire another they refuse to sell us the whole dose again sell us 1/4 dose that will do nothing and then after all this proceed to inform us to come back in three weeks for follow up appointment$$$ also continues to tell us how to feed our dog, he has a kibble despenser vet wants us to feed the dog twice a day very pushy quite unprofessional!!! Steam out our ears!!!

Dr. Grant and her staff are wonderful. She takes amazing care of my "family members" and I will always return to her practice because she understands how important these animals are. She was able to diagnose my dog with a serious condition early in his life, and most certainly extended it. He is a happy and healthy boy now - and anytime he does get ill, her door is always open. She is also quick to respond to issues through messaging if her office isn't open (after hours). She and her staff are open and honest and have always been welcoming to all in my family (humans and animals alike!). I highly recommend Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital!
