I took my 14 year old pup to Swift Creek Animal Hospital for a work up for her pain.  Dr. Meeler examined her thoroughly from head to tail.  She performed chiropractic work from her pelvis to her neck as there were many misaligned vertebrae that were causing her pain walking and holding her head.  She did a blood panel to check for any abnormalities.My girl walked out a much happier girl and I have seen big improvements in her walking with me in the woods and around the house.  I have been using Swift Creek Animal Hospital since Dr. Gintis first opened it in the early eighties.  I love all the care that they have given to my dogs in the many years I have known them.  They give the best care and I would not use anyone else. We've been taking our good good girls to Swift Creek Animal Hospital for 3 years, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Everyone we have ever had any contact with, on the phone or in person, has been so friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to go there. We've got a recurring issue with one of our ladies and her inability to clear her own... well, let's just say it's a messy business and she needs a monthly visit with a vet tech to keep her from chewing around her hindquarters. So I know whereof I speak when I say these guys are ALWAYS friendly, always helpful, and always happy to see Alice even when they are going to have to deal with her anal glands (oops, sorry Alice, didn't mean to embarrass you!) Swift Creek seems to be the Animal Hospital we prefer over any others. We just keep coming back despite a longer commute. Customer Service is immediate - as soon as we walk in the door.  They are friendly despite it being a Monday or being busy.  I use them for boarding (same day and weekends when needed) Bath, nail trim, all shots, and food as well. I usually avoid vet offices like the plague. Doctors are rude and everything is overpriced. I always go to affordable mobile clinics in the area. My baby girl had a hematoma and needed immediate attention so I brought her here. Dr. Meeler is amazing. She's super easy to talk to, very friendly, and cares so much about her patients. She even called me on her vacation to talk about surgery options. If I ever need to bring my kiddos to the vet again, I'll always go back to Dr. Meeler. Would have given 5/5 but Dr. Bost (other vet) is extremely rude, and only cares about money. If you're new to this office, request Dr. Meeler! Most of the vet tech staff are very friendly as well. I have been going here for over 20 plus years - they have taken care of my animals from puppyhood until coming to my house to put them down and everything in between The VETs are compassionate they Techs are knowledgeable the front office staff is quick to pull you records to get info for me to sent vaccinations places to send out for referrals if I needed a specialist They worked close with NC state  VEt school with one dog who head a heart tumor or the neurology dept with my dog who had possible neuro issues Very knowledgeable with meds for comfort meds always took time to answer questions always helped me. I am a Swift Creek convert! I had been using another local vet for the past 5 years, and over the last year my cat has been sick and no matter what, she wasn't getting better. A friend referred me to Swift Creek for a second opinion. When we left the country for a week and needed to board our cat since she wasn't well, we left her in the hands of the staff at Swift Creek and by the time we got back, she was like a different cat! Healthy and energetic! The staff kept in touch with me and got my authorization before running tests, administering meds, or doing procedures, and they seriously did more for my cat in one week than the last vet could do in 5 years. I am so thankful to Swift Creek and their amazing staff for giving me back my happy, healthy cat. They treated her like she was their own and she was so comfortable with them. Since then, we have switched to Swift Creek and will never go anywhere else. The staff continues to check in about my cat between appointments and this clinic is much more concerned about the well-being of these animals than about making money. Horrible Experience. The doctors are ok, but the administrative staff and technicians are horrible. How this place has such a high rating is beyond me. I've been here a few times but this time brought my pet in for its shots and I waited almost a half an our after my SCHEDULED appointment. I understand that it can be busy but at least keep me updated on what my wait time is going to be. Beware of the receptionists and don't come in during 'lunch time'. I took our cats here for the last 5 years after we moved to the area and they were the closest to our house. They weren't nearly as thorough as the cat-only vet I used to go to, but they were fine for just doing routine exams. Then as my cats aged they started to need some surgeries and the vets here also informed me that one of my cats really needed to have two teeth removed. Even after having some major procedures done here, I never liked the fact that every time I took my cats in I was seeing a different doctor and different technicians.  They didn't know my animals like my last vet did, and I felt like I was constantly starting over telling them their medical history. They don't keep good records here and they don't do a great job of explaining what they are doing or giving the cat. I didn't much like the fact that they take the cats out of the exam room via a back door to give them their shots, as I have no idea what is going on when they leave me in the room.  The last straw was when I had both cats get a 3 year rabies vaccine, which luckily I kept my receipt and have both their tags, but they kept sending me a card claiming that one of my cats was due for a rabies shot only 6 months later! Very clean place with great people that really know their stuff. I can say that I haven't had the same experience as the others that took time to write a poor review and I strongly urge you look past their own personal experiences with this place. I have visited a lot of vet offices/animal hospitals this year and have not felt more welcomed anywhere else except Swift Creek Animal Hospital. I also liked the fact that is located on a very safe road (crime-wise) and is in a well-wooded lot. Like I mentioned before, I have visited a lot of different places trying to find the right location for my two dog. I do not enjoy conflict/conformation for my own personal beliefs when it comes to my animal's health and well-being. They didn't try to stomp down my ideas, but were rather very intelligent and gave me the opportunity to be myself. The staff is very intelligent and skilled (compared to 10 plus veterinarians I have talked to) and operate in a very clean and beautiful place. I strongly urge you to give them the try. We've had our pets at this vet for over 10 years. We've been through many different situations including cancer surgeries, another difficult diagnosis, and had to euthanize a pet. The entire staff has been nothing but flexible, VERY friendly, and compassionate. The doctors have always worked very hard (even having consults with specialists at no additional cost to us) in order to find us a reasonable solution and avoid costly options. Definitely recommend. The doctors are ok. Nothing special, but they get the job done. But this place is a factory - there's no personal care at all. The administrative staff is terrible. I call to schedule vet time with my dog due to dementia issues. They schedule a tech appt for a vaccine and the vets can't see her because they're "slammed". They also use a contact mgt service that will annoy the s*** out of you with confirmation and reminder emails and texts. I wish they respected my time as much as they want me to respect theirs. We have been so happy with Dr Riddle and the staff. No nonsense care. Affordable and courteous. I've been going to SCAH for a number of years. First with my little Poppy - a Chihuahua mix I actually adopted by seeing his picture on SCAH's bulletin. He had seizures and then developed a heart condition. He got first rate care and attention and they were able to find a medication to stop his horrible seizures. Later when I had to have him put to sleep due to age and heart condition, it was done with care and sympathy. Then I got Ohso, another Chihuahua, and he too was treated with the greatest of care. You could not find a more caring or dedicated group of doctors and staff. These people all love animals and it shows. We've been taking our cats here for 11 years and the service level has always been great - rarely spend any time waiting (how unusual is that at any kind of doctors?), everyone is always so gentle with our pets and they always take the time to explain exactly what they find and any courses of treatment that are required.
