1 star isn't even deserved... I honestly don't know where to start. this will be long, but I really thing you should read this...I am not one to leave a review, but my experience was so bad, I feel like it's my duty to let others know to avoid this place if at all possible. My husband and I had a new puppy (3 months) and she was having some major urine issues; frequent urination, strong odor, drinking excess water, etc. Point South was the second vet we took her to for another recommendation and boy was that a complete waste of time and money. For an entire week I found myself going back and fourth to this vet and waiting for HOURS to be taken care of. The first visit we were scheduled for an exam and urinalysis at 12. I didn't see the vet until 1:30pm or 1:45pm and when we finally had the urinalysis done, someone "forgot" to put that urine on ice overnight so I got a call the next morning asking if we could come back and repeat the process. I know accidents happen so I kept my cool and expected things to get done quick our second visit...I drove all the way back the next morning (35 minutes away), took off work yet again, and arrived. The front desk staff (Angie) had no clue who I was and what I was there for. I had my puppy and adult dog in the car and mentioned to them that they needed to collect ASAP since my puppy usually urinated in the car as soon as we reached a destination. I gave them instructions to come to the car and be prepared to collect the sample. The Tech came to my car about 15-20 minutes later and did not bring anything to collect the sample, in which my puppy urinated ALL over me, all while the vet made the comment, "Aw you potted all over mommy". I was fuming. After that she took my puppy inside...35 minutes later the tech came to my car (I had to keep it running for my adult dog because I didn't want her to get hot while we waited forever; just wasting gas money as they took forever) and asked me if I could come back because she emptied her bladder on me. The nerve to ask me to come back AGAIN after ALL of that. I had no choice but to wait more and instructed them to give her water and she will urinate soon or her bladder would be full for them to derive it through a needle. An hour later I couldn't take it and went inside and asked for some communication. It was ridiculous. I came to find out that the DMV went to lunch and I wasn't waiting on my pup, I was waiting on HIM. Your kidding me. He was the only person that could derive the urine safely with the needle I came to find out, but rather than knocking that out for me before he went on a hour lunch, he just left. I was dumbfounded. None of this was ever communicated to me from the start. The front desk staff Angie was incredibly rude, making very smart comments to me etc. I would never ever treat a customer like this place treated me. I demanded my dog and a refund. I was DONE. When they brought me my dog she urinated everywhere! And they had been telling me she wouldn't go? They just kept giving her tons of water until the vet got back form his lunch; whatever time that was going to be. Like wow... I only got a refund for the urinalysis but honestly I want a refund for my time and exam fees. It was a TOTAL WASTE of gas, time, and money. I took off work for two entire days to get nowhere. After all of that I still had a sick puppy, lost money from driving there and back, and time I had to take off work. I never received a call from the owner trying to handle this matter or trying to figure out why a prospect customer left in tears. Nothing.These people say there mission is:-Care for our patients and their owners-Heal our patients by providing high quality medical care-Share our love of animals with others-Educate ourselves about the science of veterinary medicine and the art of customer service through colleagues, patients and their owners.As you can see I highly disagree and cannot find anything to back up this "mission statement". Don't waste your time, your money, or your patience. They should be closed and I know that is a strong statement, but as an animal lover and business professional the lack of care for the animal or the customer was just unforeseen and I hope to save some of you from all the stress I had to go through myself and pup my poor pup through.

Awesome people working here. They are very caring! I drive 30 minutes to get to them for my cats checkups and boarding, that's how good they are!

I brought her in last Thursday and they diagnosed with kidney failure end stages! They should have tested the other 3 times I brought her in! I went back Friday evening to get IV fluids and that Dr said she should have been tested but it didn't show that she was in her records. End result...I had to put her to sleep yesterday because she was so pitiful. I know they couldn't reverse the kidney damage but they should have diagnosed her earlier and I would have changed her diet which I read helps a lot.
DONT GO TO POINTE SOUTH!!! Somebody warned me but I didn't listen...

I wish I could love this page instead of just liking it. I live 45 minutes away with numerous vets between us and them, but I'll make the drive every time (as long as it's not a super time sensitive emergency). These people are so attentive and caring, willing to spend the extra time to answer any questions and calm fears. Highly recommend taking your fur babies here.

I can't say enough how much I love this vet!! They treat my dog like he is part of their family. They always work him in when he isn't feeling well. He just had his leg amputated and every time I have a concern they let me bring him in to check it out. They are very reasonably priced and willing to do the most cost effective treatments. I know my dogs are in great hands and loved when they are there.

If you truly love animals like we do and you take care of them and truly love your fur babies then this is the place to go. Our pug we had for 20 years and his name was Odie and 2 years ago we had to put him down old age got to him and we couldn't let him suffer in pain and you guys let us stay with him and he went peacefully with his tongue stuck out like he always had it and it's was painful but I couldn't have gone anywhere else thank you and all of our other fur babies are rescues our Maltese gets groomed here every month and she got fixed and as you can tell you wouldnt even know on her stomach theres the tiniest of scar but it healed perfectly and thank you for taking care of them and helping us keep them alive and well taken care of they even love you and dogs are good judgements of character I wouldn't want to go anywhere and they mistreat my dogs thank you for everything you've done I love you all and my family personally for decades and decades back generations since you've opened with animals and animals we have always gone to Pointe South and I wouldn't go anywhere else

After being told they couldn't do anything for my poor dog without charging me $300+ I've never went back. I was at a loss thinking there could not be anything done for my dogs poor bowed out legs. He was in pain and you could tell! My dog never has just growled at someone for no reason but he would not let these people near him. Which tells me a lot. Staff is very rude with the exception of a few of the receptionists. Their prices are also so high you can hardly afford to take your pets there. I started going to Dr.Tanner at Creekside Vet in Archdale. She's amazing, so sweet, she actually cares and her staff is wonderful. They also have very affordable prices. :)

I am so unhappy with this place as I write this message. I am normally not one to write reviews but I'm making an exception. I called up there tonight at 7 to run our boxer up there because her lip and some of the left side of the face was swollen. I had just got home from work which is why I wasn't aware sooner. The lady who answered was highly rude because it was close to closing and she said they had other clients there so I would probably need to take her to Greensboro. She asked the vet and she said if I could be there in 5 min she would see us...my husband ran her straight up there. They did see her within a timely manner which was nice. I sincerely apologize we had to call near time to close because I work in the medical field and I know what it's like working late but the lady who answered on 2/3/17 around 7pm was so rude. Then they charged me $19.79 for an injection of Benadryl...this is something I could have gave her from home but they didn't even ask if we had some at home to give her they just wanted the money and charged us $72 in all....I have already had a bad experience here when we lost of beloved Doberman who was 6 years old last year in April and they didn't even send a card or send their condolences when I called to let them know he passed from cancer...they didn't care at all they showed no compassion or sympathy for our loss. They need compassionate employees and they need to work on their prices..they also should discuss prices and what to expect and give other options. I feel like I was completely ripped off tonight...I have took her to another vet since she was a pup because of this and when giving another chance they let me down again. This is unacceptable...it's just the reason why I have switched her clinics. The only thing I can thank this clinic for is allowing us to take her there tonight.

I absolutely love this veterinarian hospital , they definitely go above the rest , they took care of my sweet baby until her time here on earth was done ....... and now I'm driving almost 35 or ...
I absolutely love this veterinarian hospital , they definitely go above the rest , they took care of my sweet baby until her time here on earth was done ....... and now I'm driving almost 35 or 40 minutes to get back just to this hospital with my new babies .... I wouldn't consider going anywhere else ...... The staff is great the hospital is always clean their up-to-date on everything they make sure you know what you're doing ....... they spend the time with you that you need ....... they are also the most reasonably priced hospital, of course that's just the bonus...... I have been going to this hospital for well over eight years ........ and believe me I've had animals all my life ....... I totally trust them with my fur children ...... I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me and my fur children ........

I have visited this animal hospital several times. They have always treated my pet with great care. My cat can be aggressive at times. Despite that they were always very compassionate and loving to her. I have never known the practice to be less than welcoming and wonderful.
When you are engaging a veterinarian you are engaging a professional. The charges at this clinic are not out of line with any other clinics in the area, but the service and care are excellent.

All you have until then are nurses and a snotty receptionist that looks at you like "What do you want me to do with your dying kitten? I'm not qualified to make any decision except to take calls and push paper around." and I don't think they can do what the doctor does. So what do you do for 2 hours? Sit and twiddle your thumbs and watch your animal die in your arms? Thanks, but no thanks. I have better things to do.

I love Pointe South! They take such wonderful care of my boys. The entire staff is so compassionate, kind, patient, and you can tell they are all so passionate about helping animals. The things I love most are that they are always so nice on the phone when I call, you can email them with quick questions, the staff greets you and your babies when you come in, the doctors listen to your concerns and will answer your questions, they are so patient with the animals and take their time to really examine them. They don't rush to give vaccines or do tests and they cuddle and pet my boys to relax them. Their services are so reasonable that it's shocking. I don't care if I have to drive two hours, I will always take my furbabies to Pointe South. I wish I had known about this hospital a year ago! <3

I don't want to do business myself any more with Pointe South. I had been going there for years because they are convenient. But they are expensive and recently I bought a 1.6 oz bag of Feline Greenie...
I don't want to do business myself any more with Pointe South. I had been going there for years because they are convenient. But they are expensive and recently I bought a 1.6 oz bag of Feline Greenies Pill Pockets. They charged $12.18 plus tax! My cat would not eat them at all. (That comes out to $121.80 per pound!) I e-mailed Greenies. They said all their products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Was told to return them to vets office with receipt. Which I did. They refused to take them back because they were open! Then after another call to Greenies and another call to Pointe South and being put on hold for a while, I was finally told they would take them back because they finally read the bottom of the package. They didn't even know what the return policy was. Really poor customer service. I'm sure there are better places to go, just have to sacrifice a little convenience.

After that she took my puppy inside...35 minutes later the tech came to my car (I had to keep it running for my adult dog because I didn't want her to get hot while we waited forever; just wasting gas money as they took forever) and asked me if I could come back because she emptied her bladder on me. The nerve to ask me to come back AGAIN after ALL of that. I had no choice but to wait more and instructed them to give her water and she will urinate soon or her bladder would be full for them to derive it through a needle. An hour later I couldn't take it and went inside and asked for some communication. It was ridiculous. I came to find out that the DMV went to lunch and I wasn't waiting on my pup, I was waiting on HIM. Your kidding me. He was the only person that could derive the urine safely with the needle I came to find out, but rather than knocking that out for me before he went on a hour lunch, he just left. I was dumbfounded. None of this was ever communicated to me from the start. The front desk staff Angie was incredibly rude, making very smart comments to me etc. I would never ever treat a customer like this place treated me. I demanded my dog and a refund. I was DONE. When they brought me my dog she urinated everywhere! And they had been telling me she wouldn't go? They just kept giving her tons of water until the vet got back form his lunch; whatever time that was going to be. Like wow... I only got a refund for the urinalysis but honestly I want a refund for my time and exam fees. It was a TOTAL WASTE of gas, time, and money. I took off work for two entire days to get nowhere. After all of that I still had a sick puppy, lost money from driving there and back, and time I had to take off work. I never received a call from the owner trying to handle this matter or trying to figure out why a prospect customer left in tears. Nothing.These people say there mission is:-Care for our patients and their owners-Heal our patients by providing high quality medical care-Share our love of animals with others-Educate ourselves about the science of veterinary medicine and the art of customer service through colleagues, patients and their owners.As you can see I highly disagree and cannot find anything to back up this "mission statement". Don't waste your time, your money, or your patience. They should be closed and I know that is a strong statement, but as an animal lover and business professional the lack of care for the animal or the customer was just unforeseen and I hope to save some of you from all the stress I had to go through myself and pup my poor pup through.

I brought her in last Thursday and they diagnosed with kidney failure end stages! They should have tested the other 3 times I brought her in! I went back Friday evening to get IV fluids and that Dr said she should have been tested but it didn't show that she was in her records. End result...I had to put her to sleep yesterday because she was so pitiful. I know they couldn't reverse the kidney damage but they should have diagnosed her earlier and I would have changed her diet which I read helps a lot.
DONT GO TO POINTE SOUTH!!! Somebody warned me but I didn't listen...

I can't say enough how much I love this vet!! They treat my dog like he is part of their family. They always work him in when he isn't feeling well. He just had his leg amputated and every time I have a concern they let me bring him in to check it out. They are very reasonably priced and willing to do the most cost effective treatments. I know my dogs are in great hands and loved when they are there.

Our pug we had for 20 years and his name was Odie and 2 years ago we had to put him down old age got to him and we couldn't let him suffer in pain and you guys let us stay with him and he went peacefully with his tongue stuck out like he always had it and it's was painful but I couldn't have gone anywhere else thank you and all of our other fur babies are rescues our Maltese gets groomed here every month and she got fixed and as you can tell you wouldnt even know on her stomach theres the tiniest of scar but it healed perfectly and thank you for taking care of them and helping us keep them alive and well taken care of they even love you and dogs are good judgements of character I wouldn't want to go anywhere and they mistreat my dogs thank you for everything you've done I love you all and my family personally for decades and decades back generations since you've opened with animals and animals we have always gone to Pointe South and I wouldn't go anywhere else

After being told they couldn't do anything for my poor dog without charging me $300+ I've never went back. I was at a loss thinking there could not be anything done for my dogs poor bowed out legs. He was in pain and you could tell! My dog never has just growled at someone for no reason but he would not let these people near him. Which tells me a lot. Staff is very rude with the exception of a few of the receptionists. Their prices are also so high you can hardly afford to take your pets there. I started going to Dr.Tanner at Creekside Vet in Archdale. She's amazing, so sweet, she actually cares and her staff is wonderful. They also have very affordable prices. :)

I am so unhappy with this place as I write this message. I am normally not one to write reviews but I'm making an exception. I called up there tonight at 7 to run our boxer up there because her lip and some of the left side of the face was swollen. I had just got home from work which is why I wasn't aware sooner. The lady who answered was highly rude because it was close to closing and she said they had other clients there so I would probably need to take her to Greensboro. She asked the vet and she said if I could be there in 5 min she would see us...my husband ran her straight up there. They did see her within a timely manner which was nice. I sincerely apologize we had to call near time to close because I work in the medical field and I know what it's like working late but the lady who answered on 2/3/17 around 7pm was so rude. Then they charged me $19.79 for an injection of Benadryl...this is something I could have gave her from home but they didn't even ask if we had some at home to give her they just wanted the money and charged us $72 in all....I have already had a bad experience here when we lost of beloved Doberman who was 6 years old last year in April and they didn't even send a card or send their condolences when I called to let them know he passed from cancer...they didn't care at all they showed no compassion or sympathy for our loss. They need compassionate employees and they need to work on their prices..they also should discuss prices and what to expect and give other options. I feel like I was completely ripped off tonight...I have took her to another vet since she was a pup because of this and when giving another chance they let me down again. This is unacceptable...it's just the reason why I have switched her clinics. The only thing I can thank this clinic for is allowing us to take her there tonight.

I wouldn't consider going anywhere else ...... The staff is great the hospital is always clean their up-to-date on everything they make sure you know what you're doing ....... they spend the time with you that you need ....... they are also the most reasonably priced hospital, of course that's just the bonus...... I have been going to this hospital for well over eight years ........ and believe me I've had animals all my life ....... I totally trust them with my fur children ...... When you are engaging a veterinarian you are engaging a professional. The charges at this clinic are not out of line with any other clinics in the area, but the service and care are excellent.

I'm not qualified to make any decision except to take calls and push paper around." and I don't think they can do what the doctor does. So what do you do for 2 hours? The things I love most are that they are always so nice on the phone when I call, you can email them with quick questions, the staff greets you and your babies when you come in, the doctors listen to your concerns and will answer your questions, they are so patient with the animals and take their time to really examine them. They don't rush to give vaccines or do tests and they cuddle and pet my boys to relax them. Their services are so reasonable that it's shocking. I don't care if I have to drive two hours, I will always take my furbabies to Pointe South. I wish I had known about this hospital a year ago! <3

But they are expensive and recently I bought a 1.6 oz bag of Feline Greenies Pill Pockets. They charged $12.18 plus tax! My cat would not eat them at all. (That comes out to $121.80 per pound!) I e-mailed Greenies. They said all their products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Was told to return them to vets office with receipt. Which I did. They refused to take them back because they were open! Then after another call to Greenies and another call to Pointe South and being put on hold for a while, I was finally told they would take them back because they finally read the bottom of the package. They didn't even know what the return policy was. Really poor customer service. I'm sure there are better places to go, just have to sacrifice a little convenience.
