What a caring bunch! Love this animal hospital. The only reason it does not get five stars is that I can never go without spending at least $125. Even for a recheck, but they save lives everyday!

This veterinary office told us an amount before making appointment, ended up charging $240 for shots & new puppy visit. My daughter didn't have that much or we would have made an appointment somewhere else. She was told $50 to $60. This office told her she would have to give them her puppy to hold until she did or turn her over to them or they would call the police. This vet snuck charges of behavior counseling in the bill & my daughter who is 27 yrs old w/ a good job,did not ask for & other charges not discussed. Please watch your bills or you may not leave w/ your animals. Luckily we as parents helped her.

I absolutely love this place. I have always taken my pets here since they have been open in Rocky Point. But recently we took in a beautiful but malnourished German Shepard and after 8 days, he was attacked coming out my front door to walk him. We took him to Rocky Point Animal Hospital and he ended up having to have emergency surgery. They saved his life and loved our baby for the 4 1/2 days he was there recovering. They were so loving and caring and they sent us videos at night the first night to let us know he was okay, and called us regularly and dealt with us coming each day to visit and love him. I would highly recommend this place for anything small or big for your fur babies.

Over it. Tried this office several times and every time I wait so long. The last time was 90 minutes to be seen; then another 45 before the doctor came in. That was the last straw. Definitely going somewhere else. I think this place used to be better but they have really really gone down hill. The service is terrible, plus, they are total vaccine and drug pushers, trying to sell anything they can and inject my pet with so many unnecessary things.

Thrilled to have found a vet of this high caliber in Pender County. The staff and vets are caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. They do not pressure you into unnecessary services, and always focus on what is best for my dogs. They have worked with me several times to accommodate my schedule on short notice. I also appreciate that they send emails for feedback after each appointment, and follow up on my comments to make sure my dogs are doing well and I am satisfied! I recommend them to everyone!

I just can't say enough about Dr. Joni and the staff here! Last year we made the difficult decision to move to the beach and move our pets. After a year of h*** at the other place we decided we would make the drive from carolina beach to Rocky point as much as needed for our animals to feel love and get the proper care they need. Our saige thanked me today as we left there and drove home. She was also the calmest she's been in a very long time at a vet visit....even patiently waiting with children and other pets....she actually made friends!!!! We love Inga, Dr. Joni and all the staff!!!!! Thank you so much for helping us in saiges difficult situation.

We were referred to Dr. Joni when we bought our first Rottweiler back in 2004. We have been loyal patrons ever since. But, we have only seen Dr. Joni twice in 12 years. I have requested her many many times, but she is always " booked" too far in advance. Yesterday, I had specifically asked for an appointment with her. I tried to make this appointment a month ago, and waited a month for yesterday's appointment, so that we could see Dr. Joni. When we arrived, we were told she wasn't there. The "new" vet would see us. I was offered to reschedule. I didn't want to see the "new" vet because the last time we saw her, she insisted on muzzling our dog for a routine exam. I will be finding another vet, because it is unacceptable to me that I waited a month for an appointment with a specific vet, and was still pushed off on an inexperienced one instead.

I was referred to Dr..JOANI by Diane Gallagher from Dogtrain 2 yr ago & so glad I switched. Dr. JOANI knows and likes Shepherds where alot of vets are afraid of them. Luger is very calm there. Dr. Joani neutered him at age 1 yr and also tacked up his stomach to avoid bloat and torsion. Kinda costly but alot of peace of mind for me since I knew my life situation would be changing rapidly & we would have to have an entirely new lifestyle. I trust this vet with my Best Friend in his world!

Love this place! I travel from downtown Wilmington to see them. The staff is so sweet and always remembers me and my four-legged kids. Dr. Joni is fantastic too. She really has a kind, gentle soul and has fixed up my "kids" whenever something arises. Knowledgable vet. She's helped monitor my blind Pekingese and gotten him on proper anti seizure medication, took proper steps when I had an emergency with him and is 100% well now, dealt with my moody mutt Jack when he tore a nail, and watched Wilbur get nursed back to health when I rescued him a year ago. They've sent heart warming sympathy cards when my other babies have crossed and notified my vet they use to see to let them know (I moved long distance from them.) I feel they truly care. Customer service is great with getting back to you, doing follow ups, email reminders, refilling prescriptions in a quick manner and working with my schedule to get us seen. The facility is always very clean, too. I really appreciate all of your staff (and so does Keller, Wilbur and Jack!) Thanks!

We went to this facility for our pure bread Doberman to have her ears cropped. This bet does NOT know how to crop ears. They nickel and dime for your every service and refuse to educate you with in home care for your pet so that you will have to continue to return for more paid visits. This doctor was arrogant and uneducated. When I decided to not take my animal back to the facility they scheduled a fake appointment and called me to remind me of it in attemps to make contact. Someone. Simply could have called and asked why we weren't coming back and try and resolve the issue. We are now going to have to re-cut the Dobermans ears in attempt to fix what this doctor did. Do not take your pet for ear cropping at this facility. Terrible!

I have been startled by the poor service at this office. Earlier this summer, my cat was ill and I called to make an appointment. After describing the symptoms, which include not eating, not drinking, not making the box, and listless, I was told the first available appointment was a week away. In my opinion, this is neglect of care. Also, later this year, after many attempts by another vet to maintain a good quality of life for the cat, we decided that she was in pain and she was no longer able to control her bodily functions so it was "time". The vet wouldn't put her to sleep until the other office where she had been getting care faxed over their records. I was amazed that the animal would have had to continue to suffer. Needless to say, we took her right out of there. Unfortunately, or perhaps for her, fortunately, she passed away a short time later. I was furious that they didn't end her suffering sooner.

I absolutely love this place. I have always taken my pets here since they have been open in Rocky Point. But recently we took in a beautiful but malnourished German Shepard and after 8 days, he was attacked coming out my front door to walk him. We took him to Rocky Point Animal Hospital and he ended up having to have emergency surgery. They saved his life and loved our baby for the 4 1/2 days he was there recovering. They were so loving and caring and they sent us videos at night the first night to let us know he was okay, and called us regularly and dealt with us coming each day to visit and love him. I would highly recommend this place for anything small or big for your fur babies.

Over it. Tried this office several times and every time I wait so long. The last time was 90 minutes to be seen; then another 45 before the doctor came in. That was the last straw. Definitely going somewhere else. I think this place used to be better but they have really really gone down hill. The service is terrible, plus, they are total vaccine and drug pushers, trying to sell anything they can and inject my pet with so many unnecessary things.

Thrilled to have found a vet of this high caliber in Pender County. The staff and vets are caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. They do not pressure you into unnecessary services, and always focus on what is best for my dogs. They have worked with me several times to accommodate my schedule on short notice. I also appreciate that they send emails for feedback after each appointment, and follow up on my comments to make sure my dogs are doing well and I am satisfied! I recommend them to everyone!

I just can't say enough about Dr. Joni and the staff here! Last year we made the difficult decision to move to the beach and move our pets. After a year of h*** at the other place we decided we would make the drive from carolina beach to Rocky point as much as needed for our animals to feel love and get the proper care they need. Our saige thanked me today as we left there and drove home. She was also the calmest she's been in a very long time at a vet visit....even patiently waiting with children and other pets....she actually made friends!!!! We love Inga, Dr. Joni and all the staff!!!!! Thank you so much for helping us in saiges difficult situation.

We were referred to Dr. Joni when we bought our first Rottweiler back in 2004. We have been loyal patrons ever since. But, we have only seen Dr. Joni twice in 12 years. I have requested her many many times, but she is always " booked" too far in advance. Yesterday, I had specifically asked for an appointment with her. I tried to make this appointment a month ago, and waited a month for yesterday's appointment, so that we could see Dr. Joni. When we arrived, we were told she wasn't there. The "new" vet would see us. I was offered to reschedule. I didn't want to see the "new" vet because the last time we saw her, she insisted on muzzling our dog for a routine exam. I will be finding another vet, because it is unacceptable to me that I waited a month for an appointment with a specific vet, and was still pushed off on an inexperienced one instead.

I was referred to Dr..JOANI by Diane Gallagher from Dogtrain 2 yr ago & so glad I switched. Dr. JOANI knows and likes Shepherds where alot of vets are afraid of them. Luger is very calm there. Dr. Joani neutered him at age 1 yr and also tacked up his stomach to avoid bloat and torsion. Kinda costly but alot of peace of mind for me since I knew my life situation would be changing rapidly & we would have to have an entirely new lifestyle. I trust this vet with my Best Friend in his world!

Love this place! I travel from downtown Wilmington to see them. The staff is so sweet and always remembers me and my four-legged kids. Dr. Joni is fantastic too. She really has a kind, gentle soul and has fixed up my "kids" whenever something arises. Knowledgable vet. She's helped monitor my blind Pekingese and gotten him on proper anti seizure medication, took proper steps when I had an emergency with him and is 100% well now, dealt with my moody mutt Jack when he tore a nail, and watched Wilbur get nursed back to health when I rescued him a year ago. They've sent heart warming sympathy cards when my other babies have crossed and notified my vet they use to see to let them know (I moved long distance from them.) I feel they truly care. Customer service is great with getting back to you, doing follow ups, email reminders, refilling prescriptions in a quick manner and working with my schedule to get us seen. The facility is always very clean, too. I really appreciate all of your staff (and so does Keller, Wilbur and Jack!) Thanks!

We went to this facility for our pure bread Doberman to have her ears cropped. This bet does NOT know how to crop ears. They nickel and dime for your every service and refuse to educate you with in home care for your pet so that you will have to continue to return for more paid visits. This doctor was arrogant and uneducated. When I decided to not take my animal back to the facility they scheduled a fake appointment and called me to remind me of it in attemps to make contact. Someone. Simply could have called and asked why we weren't coming back and try and resolve the issue. We are now going to have to re-cut the Dobermans ears in attempt to fix what this doctor did. Do not take your pet for ear cropping at this facility. Terrible!

I have been startled by the poor service at this office. Earlier this summer, my cat was ill and I called to make an appointment. After describing the symptoms, which include not eating, not drinking, not making the box, and listless, I was told the first available appointment was a week away. In my opinion, this is neglect of care. Also, later this year, after many attempts by another vet to maintain a good quality of life for the cat, we decided that she was in pain and she was no longer able to control her bodily functions so it was "time". The vet wouldn't put her to sleep until the other office where she had been getting care faxed over their records. I was amazed that the animal would have had to continue to suffer. Needless to say, we took her right out of there. Unfortunately, or perhaps for her, fortunately, she passed away a short time later. I was furious that they didn't end her suffering sooner.
