Small Animal Medicine And Surgery

Salisbury, North Carolina
General Info
Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in Salisbury uses the pet’s internal clock as a guide for its practice, establishing a close bond with families all over North Carolina. The clinic observes entry posture together with the sound sensitivity, pacing and focus behavior. The examination methods employed by doctors during medical checkups are similar to those of animals. The ear and teeth checks are effortless during the curiosity phase while the stomach or joints tests occur in a relaxed mood. Pet owners are asked precise queries concerning the resting and eating habits of their domestic buddies, alongside the increased time spent near house doors or soft surfaces. Small Animal Medicine and Surgery offers various services such as diagnostics, age-focused physical exams and screenings, preventative gastrointestinal stabilization, endocrine management routines, surgical preparation, and post-operative reflection routines. The appointment can either be a full session or split into two shorter visits depending on the pet’s temperament and the caregiver’s schedule. To prioritize tasks over checklists, the medical staff develops behavioral readiness, which implies adjusting to the patient’s pace and touch tolerance. Families receive comprehensive reports on their pet’s daily patterns, detailing key areas and time-specific symptoms to look for, behaviors and reactions after using the stimulator, and rebalancing indicators. Text check-ins, pacing charts, and flexible timelines help keep follow-up care anchored on how the pet feels rather than purely clinical indicators. Salisbury families and North Carolina residents receive the same pet healthcare from Small Animal Medicine and Surgery that pets exhibit while living in real homes with their owners day and night. Small Animal Medicine And Surgery offers the following services: Laboratory, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Nutritional Counseling, Microchipping, Dermatology, Dental Care, Ultrasound, Emergency Care and Ophthalmology. This diversity of locations and services makes it convenient for local pet owners to access everything their pets need, from basic checkups to advanced veterinary procedures. The clinic remains a trusted presence in the Salisbury area by offering services that aim to support pets’ health and comfort throughout their lives.

BE AWARE TO NEVER take your guinea pig there. We spend almost $700 and and our guinea pig ended up dying. Our piggie had a dental problem that could have been easily fixed. She did gave him anasthasia and “trimmed his teeth”. We expected him to recover in less than 7 days, but even after a week he still wasn’t eating. We took our piggie to the vet again and she said he had a different problem that she hadn’t noticed before under the excuse that “we all make mistakes” when she’s supposedly a certified veterinarian. Our baby never recovered after she “fixed” the second problem 😔 We took him to the vet about 5 days after the second time they put him under anasthasia, and she said he was definitely improving. He died two days after that. I’m pretty sure she never solved the problem my piggie had and/or didn’t even know what she was doing. She never weighed our piggie and was rough with him when they gave him a physical examination. We did everything she told us, gave him his antibiotics, painkillers and critical care every day, yet he still ended up passing away. I cannot express my disappointment with this vet, and I deeply regret having taken my guinea pig there, since this was a dental issue that any other vet could have probably fixed. Read Less
