They are not transparent with their billing practices. When I picked up a prescription for our dog last week I wondered why the per pill cost was more than last month, so I called them to see if the medication had increased. There was no increase, but apparently there is a $13 dispensary charge, basically a charge for the vet tech to fill the bottle, but that charge was not noted on the invoice, just the $21 for 10 pills. Had we been advised of the $13 charge upfront I would have just picked up the written prescription instead of getting a few pills until we could get to the pharmacy. We are new to this vet and in the past month we have spent close to $3,000 on 3 different pets, so this lack of transparency makes me wonder what else we were charged for that was not disclosed to us at the time of billing. We are new to the area and this is the second vet we've seen, but after this experience I am left wondering if there are any ethical, professional vets in Lee County.
