This vet is friendly but has no clue about customer service. I called today to set up an appointment for a dog I found on the road so I could get her on flea and tick preventative-they said she needs to be checked out before they can give any flea prevention. I was told they have a 5 o clock appointment today and I could come in then. I told them I would come in earlier in the day as well to go ahead and see if she was microchipped, they said okay. So I took the dog in at 11, they quickly did the run through to see if she was chipped and didn’t find anything. Mind you there were no other clients in the building at the time, like employees sitting there were on their phones and staring at the wall. I wasted my whole day waiting till 5pm to come in for them to first tell me it will be a wait then tell me they have an emergency c-section they have to do. I completely understand the emergency but what I don’t understand is the people with the dog that needed the emergency had obviously been sitting there for quite some time. Why not give me a heads up before I even drive in and waste my time for me to sit there and then you tell me I need to reschedule. I will be taking the dog to my regular vet next week. Thought I would give these people a try because they are close to my house but customer service is really important to me. A simple phone call would have been sufficient or if you were sitting around staring at the wall at 11 that would have been a nice time to see the dog. Read Less

I called to schedule an appointment and the girl ask me my address. I told her she could pull up my ex and it would have all address info. She took ex of that account and added my name to the account to save time I guess. I come in for the appt and they try to get me to pay a bill she had previously. Then refused to vaccinate my dogs cause I would not pay her bill on a dog I never owned or had. Then someone come out of the back and said the account was old and when I tried to tell him what the girl had done he said I dont want to get into that. He was very rude. I think it is very cheap and under handed to do that to try and get a bill paid that I wasnt even living in the state when it happened and for a dog I never owned. Read Less

Dr Davis is very conscientious and willing to do anything for her patients. I know of multiple instances where she has come in on her days off, weekends, and even holidays to provide care for her patients. The practice is lucky to have her. Read Less

This vet office is more than an office, it's family! From Dr. Williams(best doc ever!) to Patrick (best vet tech ever!), I know I am receiving experienced compassionate veterinary care for my dogs. Dr. Williams has been our veterinarian for over 20 years..while I have been to other local vets in that time frame, i've always returned to Dr. Williams, and been disappointed with the others. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE First, I want to say the receptionist and the veterinarian assistant were absolutely wonderful and very sweet. The veterinarian herself not so much. Very rude and inconsiderate and all about the money. I went there to get updated vaccinations as a necessity for an emergency. My family and I unexpectedly had to relocate due to toxic mold and had to be out of the house within two days and the place where we were relocating too , which was an extended stay, needed updated vaccination shots. I relayed this information to the veterinarian many times and felt like it went through one ear and out of other. Literally came in there to get two shots that would’ve cost the max $50 and ended up spending over $150. The price did not offend me nonetheless. It was the way she responded to my emergency. When she told me I would need to come back in a week I relayed to her once again we were relocating to another town and needed some time and she proceeded to roll her eyes and sighed. This blew me away. I don’t necessarily need someone to care about every single detail of my life; however, I just need consideration. She provided none of that and just wanted to assure she got a certain amount of money out of me before I left. All three employees are incredibly courteous and informative. They took care of my puppy that had parvo and took plenty of time to inform me of the risks involved with the virus and the different treatment options. After I was able to pick her up they explained what the medications she was sent home with are for and were able to answer all of my questions while I was there and when I called back in the proceeding days. The miscellaneous charges are absolutely ridiculous. Why are you charged an office visit fee, a boarding, and the procedure charge? A boarding fee is charged with every procedure? Shouldn't the procedure, which is overpriced as well, cover a "boarding fee"? I was not boarding my pet, I was attempting to save her life. I have used this office in the past, but will not again. The hours of pickup were altered an hour after drop off, picking up was delayed due to a faculty mistake, and I had to return to pick up medication that I was charged for but not given. Carolina Veterinary Hospital had been a wonderful place to take my pets for professional and reasonably-priced care. I've never been disappointed in their services. They truly stepped up to the plate when I brought in my 18 & 1/2 year old cat, who had a stroke. She ended up passing away there, and they allowed me the time and space to grieve, as well as helping me with deciding on what to do with her remains. I highly recommend Carolina Veterinary Hospital! I brought my cat here because he had ear mites. I went in and the vets were very professional and even the receptionist was kind to my pet. It wasn't like she took him, she addressed him by name and asked how he was. They refer to pets by name not by my last name which I love. They actually love what they do, and it shows. The vets explained things very well and when they took him in he was a little shy, but I had to leave him there. I was worried he was going to come home sad and not eating like other places I've been to. That was not the case here. We let him out and he rested a bit and when he woke up he was playing and eating again! I was soo happy he was back to his old self. Thank you for taking care of my precious angel. Read Less

A great place to take your pets. Dr. Williams always takes as much time as you need, and he - as well as the rest of the staff - is very courteous. While in the past the "front desk" experience was not very good, that is no longer the case. The receptionist is very courteous and helpful, and doesn't ignore you. I called to set up the paperwork and anything I will need with the Vet and they said sure no problem, come on in. After being assured for over a month that my paperwork would be good and there would be no problems after meeting with them I went to USDA and he told me I didn't have all the needed paperwork a week before I left (3 buisness days). They were rude and unwilling to work with me to get what I need accomplished. They had been given the correct paperwork and sent me to Raleigh knowing that I wasn't going to pass the inspection of paperwork. They wasted my time and we're unapologetic about it and even went as far as to blame me and my wife. I had to go to Sanford animal hospital for help. They squared me away were helpful, courteous and quick. The vet tech at Carolina veterinarian hospital is the biggest douche I've ever met my entire life. After refusing to acknowledge any fault let alone provide a refund for services he failed to render, he proceeded to tell me that we are at fault because his sole job is to provide health services and not fill out paperwork. I think he was mad because the USDA said they would handle it and he should know what he is doing because he is certified to fill out the paperwork. I gave them two stars because of the Vet himself is very nice , cares, inexpensive (offers multi dog discounts) and courteous. His staff including the Tec are some of the worst people I've ever met in customer service, the complete arrogance, laziness, unwillingness to help and the way they talk down to people blows me away. I have never wanted to physically hurt somebody more in my entire life. I guess what I'm saying is if you're strapped for cash and need pet care go here. I have lived in Sanford for 25years and I've had pets the entire time. For years we went to the same vet my parents had always gone to, but recently I heard a lot of good things about Carolina Vet and decided to give them a try. What a difference!! The doctors realize they need to stay up to date with everything. They are not stuck in the old fashion practices. Everyone there loves animals. You can see it. The doctors actually take time to introduce you to everything they have and do. They also tell you a little about themselves and take time to get to know you and your pet. They are the only office I would recommend in Sanford, NC. I have been to some of the other offices in town and I have to many horror stories about the others. I don't give praises to easily, but I have to say this office is the best in Sanford, NC. Read Less
