If I could give this clinic no stars I would. Michelle (who answers the phones) is great, friendly, and kind. Beyond that my visit there was a huge waste of time and money. My dog has been vomiting for 7 days, can't keep food down, and this is a pattern over 3 years that is only getting worse. She was given an X-ray and nothing abnormal was found. We were offered bloodwork (another 160) but told the results probably would be inconclusive because the vet thinks our dog has developed IBS even though she never has diarrhea or some of the other symptoms of IBS. She then recommended prescription dog food and medication. After saying I couldn't pay that much she told me "well this is going to be an expensive process no matter what" I explained AGAIN to her how our dog shakes violently and is inconsolable for days at a time that I needed a better plan moving forward that didn't include our dog being in pain. Her plan for us was either 100's of dollars in tests and no real clue or what this is or what it might be VS new food and heartburn medication with something that speeds her digestion up.... so yeah no real plan and no plan for managing her pain. I can't even give her Tylenol Oh and for the final jab this vet told me I can't come back without proof of rabies or getting her the rabies shot. Even though she is up to date. She seemed more concerned about selling me stuff and forcing a rabies vaccine then she was about the problems our dog is having.

My sweet little dog injured her hip and I was able to call and get seen immediately. The caring and concern of the staff is wonderful. My little dog was in pain and nervous, I was a mess because she was in such pain. They took care of my precious little dog and they showed me kindness and concern and support through the entire process. I cannot thank them enough for what they did.

This is coming from a 20 year old guy who rarely posts reviews on places. However, when it comes to a loved one considered a huge part of the family after 15 years I had to leave this one. Only thing bad about this place is that people aren't lined up around the building to see them. In the past my dog has visited another animal hospital but today was our first time here. I can't even explain how highly I'd recommend them. Dr. Vasquez was VERY knowledgeable, kind, caring and her assistant was just as amazing as she was. Both of these ladies really cared about my dog and he's normally sketchy when it comes to strangers but he immediately trusted both of these women due to how gentle and patient they were. I truly believe my furry son was well-taken care of. The assistant assured us he'd be in her prayers and she said she'd be excited to see him in his next visit for a check-up. Pricing here is EXTREMELY reasonable. This hospital cares about the pets that visit and not what's in our wallets. Before taking action they made sure to tally everything up to inform us of what costs and such will be. God bless the service here!

How would they know unless a did a progesterone? But they didn't they just assumed my dog didn't take and I wasted about $1000+ dollars in stud fees a progesterone and the insemination and boarding fees.

This was our first time here. My dog had a seizure-like episode out of the blue. So, in a panic, we got him into the car and headed to his normal vet. Upon calling, the man that answered was extremely rude to us in informing us that the doctor was not available but that we could "drop him off for her to assess later." I hung up on him, and googled vets close by.. Thank God! We rushed him in, WITHOUT NOTICE TO THESE PEOPLE. But they still took him in immediately! They were so so SO kind and caring. Not one person acted like we were a nuisance, or a bother. They were even good with "mommy" who was a bit shaken and rambling! I'm so thankful we found them, and needless to say, they are his new vet... Thank you all so much for helping Roscoe.. AND Roscoe's mom and dad,we really appreciate you all.

Clean and organized operation staffed by professionals. Animals have a sense that we don't when it comes to people. Little Bit was comfortable going back for surgery and was happy going in. This says a lot about the staff.
We left with clear instructions of care when we got home.

The staff is amazing when it comes to our checkups and booster shots! We have two babies, Maggie the Chiweenie and Luna the Husky, and while they both have different personalities, the vets and techs both take the time to let each pup get to know them and trust them before every visit. We also just recently boarded our Luna here while we went on a mini vacation and they were wonderful with her! They answered all my questions and concerns since I was nervous about leaving her. Amazing office, super clean, and an even more wonderful staff!

We needed to use them for boarding due to a death in the family. As usual most Vets want to charge a bunch of add ons. Well we declined...Upon picking up my dogs I inquired about the grooming services and nail trim. I was given a round about amount for the grooming and a flat 10 charge for nail trim. Was told that there was no appt necessary to bring in my larger dog for a nail trim. A few weeks later I made the appt for my smaller dog to be groomed. Let me just say Amanda was very fast and did a great job with my dog. But from the moment I bought him in! I felt like I was harassed to have additional things done to him. Something told me that I should have inquired about the nail trim again. But when I went to pick up my dog, I brought my larger one in for his nails....Again I was harassed about different things that he may have needed in the future...So needless to say I ended up getting his rabies shot updated that was going to expire next week! And another flea and tick pill! But for some odd reason when my bill was printed out the 10 nail trim was 16 dollars. I don't like being lied to about prices. IT IS DEFINITELY THE PRINCIPAL. BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THE WRONG INFORMATION AND A CREDIT WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME AS A RESULT OF MISINFORMATION. THIS PLACE HAS LOST MY BUSINESS!!!! Before you go please be sure you know exactly the cost of everything and hold them accountable...But honestly I wouldn't go...it is a rip off.

We recently moved to the area and found Sanford Animal Hospital on Yelp. Decided to bring my Booboo there to be groomed. They did a beautiful job on her and they will be my groomer from now on. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They asked what I wanted and really listened because they did exactly what I asked. Would definitely recommend this place. We just moved to the area and found Sanford Animal Hospital via the positive reviews on Facebook and Angie's List. We've owned dogs for 30+ years, and this is the first veterinary practice that I can say I absolutely love. Dr. Kenny and staff listen to my concerns and have thoroughly explained proposed treatments and costs, which have been reasonable. My dogs don't have a panic attack when they realize they are going to the vet. That says a lot about how they've been treated. I'm a big fan!!

Sanford Animal Hospital exclusively cares for my and my families animals. Dr. Settle and Dr. Kenny are the best, and they employ the friendliest most knowledgeable Techs. I've never had a problem there. I advise to have an appointment though, as they are very busy, because they are the ones to go to! They will still work you in of course, but if I have an appointment, and you walk in, I expect to be first. So if you have to wait, deal with it. Learn to call in and not just show up, even 20 mins notice my get you an appointment.

My family has been going to SAH since before I was born and now I bring my pets there. The entire staff are always helpful, honest, and love the work they do. I recently had my cat Louie pass away, but not before Dr. John and his staff did everything they could to save him. They always give great advice and take into consideration my budget. The staff also listen closely when I describe any sort of problem that has come up with my other 3 cats and my black & tan coonhound. Dr. Settle will pop in the exam room just to say hi to my coonhound and both Ladybird and I love that! I always recommend SAH to anyone looking for a new vet office to take their furry loved ones to. When I lived in other cities for a while, the vet care I found there was okay but none of them came close to SAH!! I love this place and all the people that work there!

The owners of SAH do NOT care about the animals they treat. They are only interested in money. They don't support rescue of any kind and breed dogs for show themselves as a hobby for fame and glory....

They also encourage clients to breed via artificial insemination or other forms of fertilizatioin, even pit bulls. So many of pitts end up in the wrong hands, but it doesn't matter - just so SAH makes $. I used to work there and some of the vets are caring, but I would only use this practice if it was the only vet in the entire state. And yes, Judi was incredibly rude to everybody. She is no longer there; she passed away.

I love Dr. Sarah @ Sanford Animal Hospital. She took great care of my dog when she was going through heartworm treatment. Not only did she do everything possible to get these suckers gone, but she also educated me. If I had ANY questions, she answered them. She did not seem too ""busy"" for my questions or concerns. The vet techs are wonderful as well and know their stuff! I know I probably annoyed them with all my questions, but they answered them just as kindly as possible. SAH is a great vet and I will be going back there again. Heartworm Prevention is the way to go... not heartworm treatment- it was terrible on the dog.. waking up at 2 and 3am with her throwing up. Having to have her crated for 3 months. They really ask you to do test and shots and preventions for the good of the dog, not just to make $$ off of you.

I have been taking my animals to this vet for over 10 years and just LOVE them. The front desk staff used to be a bit cold and unfriendly, but now they are great!! And the techs really know their stuff. The kennel is really clean and I boarded my dog there over Easter and he was very well taken care of. I would highly recommend these guys.

I am on a fixed income, wanted to only purchase one heartworm pill and one frontline application, NO you cant do that!! Come on get real people. My vet will do it AND mail it to me at no extra charge. The front staff is RUDE!!! and non caring and one doesnt even speak english, that really helps. As soon as you speak to someone you know why they are in business, for the all mighty dollar. I am so happy to have a place to vent!! I will be sure to let others know to stay away from this place.

WOW, What happend to Sanford Animal?! I have been going there sense I was a kid with my parents, always a great hometown place, people always knew who we were and my animals, now, though I feel as if I am an alien walking in the door. The nurses dont even seem happy anymore, whats up? When you walk in the door the atmosphere is so sterile. I miss all the little neat stuff they had and the friendliness. They are now just like all the other vets in the area, only there for the money!

Sanford Animal Hospital and All Animal Hospitals are first-rate and top notch. I personally have done business with them for a number of years and have been nothing but totally happy with the staff. I don't know what problem one of the other poster's had, but my experience has been nothing like that sounded. Most people don't know, but Dr. Settle is the vet. for ""Bingo""; the beagle that won Westminster in 2008. That speaks volumes for her knowledge. I recommend them to many people and they have been very happy with their services.

If I could give this clinic no stars I would. Michelle (who answers the phones) is great, friendly, and kind. Beyond that my visit there was a huge waste of time and money. My dog has been vomiting for 7 days, can't keep food down, and this is a pattern over 3 years that is only getting worse. She was given an X-ray and nothing abnormal was found. We were offered bloodwork (another 160) but told the results probably would be inconclusive because the vet thinks our dog has developed IBS even though she never has diarrhea or some of the other symptoms of IBS. She then recommended prescription dog food and medication. After saying I couldn't pay that much she told me "well this is going to be an expensive process no matter what" I explained AGAIN to her how our dog shakes violently and is inconsolable for days at a time that I needed a better plan moving forward that didn't include our dog being in pain. Her plan for us was either 100's of dollars in tests and no real clue or what this is or what it might be VS new food and heartburn medication with something that speeds her digestion up.... so yeah no real plan and no plan for managing her pain. I can't even give her Tylenol Oh and for the final jab this vet told me I can't come back without proof of rabies or getting her the rabies shot. Even though she is up to date. She seemed more concerned about selling me stuff and forcing a rabies vaccine then she was about the problems our dog is having.

My sweet little dog injured her hip and I was able to call and get seen immediately. The caring and concern of the staff is wonderful. My little dog was in pain and nervous, I was a mess because she was in such pain. They took care of my precious little dog and they showed me kindness and concern and support through the entire process. I cannot thank them enough for what they did.

This is coming from a 20 year old guy who rarely posts reviews on places. However, when it comes to a loved one considered a huge part of the family after 15 years I had to leave this one. Only thing bad about this place is that people aren't lined up around the building to see them. In the past my dog has visited another animal hospital but today was our first time here. I can't even explain how highly I'd recommend them. Dr. Vasquez was VERY knowledgeable, kind, caring and her assistant was just as amazing as she was. Both of these ladies really cared about my dog and he's normally sketchy when it comes to strangers but he immediately trusted both of these women due to how gentle and patient they were. I truly believe my furry son was well-taken care of. The assistant assured us he'd be in her prayers and she said she'd be excited to see him in his next visit for a check-up. Pricing here is EXTREMELY reasonable. This hospital cares about the pets that visit and not what's in our wallets. Before taking action they made sure to tally everything up to inform us of what costs and such will be. God bless the service here!

How would they know unless a did a progesterone? But they didn't they just assumed my dog didn't take and I wasted about $1000+ dollars in stud fees a progesterone and the insemination and boarding fees.

My dogs aren't exactly the best behaved but they help make your visit as stress free as possible and with my dogs always getting into something, I'm there more often than most people. This was our first time here. My dog had a seizure-like episode out of the blue. So, in a panic, we got him into the car and headed to his normal vet. Upon calling, the man that answered was extremely rude to us in informing us that the doctor was not available but that we could "drop him off for her to assess later." I hung up on him, and googled vets close by.. Thank God! We rushed him in, WITHOUT NOTICE TO THESE PEOPLE. But they still took him in immediately! They were so so SO kind and caring. Not one person acted like we were a nuisance, or a bother. They were even good with "mommy" who was a bit shaken and rambling! I'm so thankful we found them, and needless to say, they are his new vet... Thank you all so much for helping Roscoe.. AND Roscoe's mom and dad,we really appreciate you all.

Clean and organized operation staffed by professionals. Animals have a sense that we don't when it comes to people. Little Bit was comfortable going back for surgery and was happy going in. This says a lot about the staff.
We left with clear instructions of care when we got home.

Great team!...and doc John is the best!...fixed my Tucker right up! :-)

The staff is amazing when it comes to our checkups and booster shots! We have two babies, Maggie the Chiweenie and Luna the Husky, and while they both have different personalities, the vets and techs both take the time to let each pup get to know them and trust them before every visit. We also just recently boarded our Luna here while we went on a mini vacation and they were wonderful with her! They answered all my questions and concerns since I was nervous about leaving her. Amazing office, super clean, and an even more wonderful staff!

We needed to use them for boarding due to a death in the family. As usual most Vets want to charge a bunch of add ons. Well we declined...Upon picking up my dogs I inquired about the grooming services and nail trim. I was given a round about amount for the grooming and a flat 10 charge for nail trim. Was told that there was no appt necessary to bring in my larger dog for a nail trim. A few weeks later I made the appt for my smaller dog to be groomed. Let me just say Amanda was very fast and did a great job with my dog. But from the moment I bought him in! I felt like I was harassed to have additional things done to him. Something told me that I should have inquired about the nail trim again. But when I went to pick up my dog, I brought my larger one in for his nails....Again I was harassed about different things that he may have needed in the future...So needless to say I ended up getting his rabies shot updated that was going to expire next week! And another flea and tick pill! But for some odd reason when my bill was printed out the 10 nail trim was 16 dollars. I don't like being lied to about prices. IT IS DEFINITELY THE PRINCIPAL. BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THE WRONG INFORMATION AND A CREDIT WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME AS A RESULT OF MISINFORMATION. THIS PLACE HAS LOST MY BUSINESS!!!! Before you go please be sure you know exactly the cost of everything and hold them accountable...But honestly I wouldn't go...it is a rip off.

We recently moved to the area and found Sanford Animal Hospital on Yelp. Decided to bring my Booboo there to be groomed. They did a beautiful job on her and they will be my groomer from now on. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They asked what I wanted and really listened because they did exactly what I asked. Would definitely recommend this place. I will definitely be boarding Booboo there next year when we go on vacation.

We recently moved here so I decided to take my Booboo here to be groomed. They did an excellent job. The staff there were very friendly and welcoming. They really listened to what I said and asked the way I wanted Booboo groomed. They did exactly what I asked them to do. They will definitely be our groomer from now on. I will definitely board Booboo there when I go on vacation. Very happy with them and definitely would recommend this place.

Everyone was very sweet and helpful. Liberty (the abused puppy) was very nervous and everyone was amazing and gentle with her. We will definitely be coming back!

We just moved to the area and found Sanford Animal Hospital via the positive reviews on Facebook and Angie's List. We've owned dogs for 30+ years, and this is the first veterinary practice that I can say I absolutely love. Dr. Kenny and staff listen to my concerns and have thoroughly explained proposed treatments and costs, which have been reasonable. My dogs don't have a panic attack when they realize they are going to the vet. That says a lot about how they've been treated. I'm a big fan!!

Sanford Animal Hospital exclusively cares for my and my families animals. Dr. Settle and Dr. Kenny are the best, and they employ the friendliest most knowledgeable Techs. I've never had a problem there. I advise to have an appointment though, as they are very busy, because they are the ones to go to! They will still work you in of course, but if I have an appointment, and you walk in, I expect to be first. So if you have to wait, deal with it. Learn to call in and not just show up, even 20 mins notice my get you an appointment.

I've been there several times with all my animals and they sent us down the road and alot of others with our sick dog just because they did not feel like messing with the situations but had no problem charging us excessive amount for all our other visits if they did not want to deal with animals in the first place they should have never opened also they rush through and do sloppy care when under pressure

Just went today. My mom takes her puppy there. I was taking my cat. walked in and was seen relatively right away (on a Friday?!?! Suprised) For everything from shots boosters and scheduled spay super affordable. More importantly it was clean, they were friendly and didn't mind my cats Ill manner when they approached her. Usually she is not like that but they put me at ease by saying that's normal in a new environment.

My family has been going to SAH since before I was born and now I bring my pets there. The entire staff are always helpful, honest, and love the work they do. I recently had my cat Louie pass away, but not before Dr. John and his staff did everything they could to save him. They always give great advice and take into consideration my budget. The staff also listen closely when I describe any sort of problem that has come up with my other 3 cats and my black & tan coonhound. Dr. Settle will pop in the exam room just to say hi to my coonhound and both Ladybird and I love that! I always recommend SAH to anyone looking for a new vet office to take their furry loved ones to. When I lived in other cities for a while, the vet care I found there was okay but none of them came close to SAH!! I love this place and all the people that work there!

The owners of SAH do NOT care about the animals they treat. They are only interested in money. They don't support rescue of any kind and breed dogs for show themselves as a hobby for fame and glory....
The owners of SAH do NOT care about the animals they treat. They are only interested in money. They don't support rescue of any kind and breed dogs for show themselves as a hobby for fame and glory. They also encourage clients to breed via artificial insemination or other forms of fertilizatioin, even pit bulls. So many of pitts end up in the wrong hands, but it doesn't matter - just so SAH makes $. I used to work there and some of the vets are caring, but I would only use this practice if it was the only vet in the entire state. And yes, Judi was incredibly rude to everybody. She is no longer there; she passed away.

I love Dr. Sarah @ Sanford Animal Hospital. She took great care of my dog when she was going through heartworm treatment. Not only did she do everything possible to get these suckers gone, but she also educated me. If I had ANY questions, she answered them. She did not seem too ""busy"" for my questions or concerns. The vet techs are wonderful as well and know their stuff! I know I probably annoyed them with all my questions, but they answered them just as kindly as possible. SAH is a great vet and I will be going back there again. Heartworm Prevention is the way to go... not heartworm treatment- it was terrible on the dog.. waking up at 2 and 3am with her throwing up. Having to have her crated for 3 months. They really ask you to do test and shots and preventions for the good of the dog, not just to make $$ off of you.

Due to the remarks/comments/actions made toward me by Judi, I will NEVER, EVER return to this place, they (she) is SOOOOO RUDE, very 'snotty' and simply care only about her own personal business, not your animal, as one would think, (being they ARE an animal hospital) ---obviously,Judi must be family to the owner(s) because no NORMAL person (especially a vet) in thier right state of mind would EVER hire someone with the attitude and disrespect that she has--- i find it very sickening the way this- judi- has been toward me, as she has been the same to others as well, aparently only worried about talking to 'Carl' (guessing thats her boyfriend) and not tending to the needs of her customers.....needless to say....i WILL NEVER NEVER EVER again be a customer, no matter what situation may arise, I KNOW i can find adequate vet care elsewhere........so if you are planning on paying them a visit...DONT...RUN...and RUN FAST... and yes, I'M telling this to everyone i know, and have found out there are others who have had the same experiences.....consider yourself warned....so RUN RUN RUN as fast and as far away from 200 Seawell st. as you can.....

I've been a customer for twenty years...They've had some management changes but are the best and only Vet office I would take one of my animals to...Because after all they are family!

I have been taking my animals to this vet for over 10 years and just LOVE them. The front desk staff used to be a bit cold and unfriendly, but now they are great!! And the techs really know their stuff. The kennel is really clean and I boarded my dog there over Easter and he was very well taken care of. I would highly recommend these guys.

The manager was unwilling to help rectify my problem, told me I could buy another product. I do not suggest using. Every time someone talked to me it was about spending more money!!

Hi, Well I used Sanford Animal once and it will be only once!!! I will drive to Raleigh for my previous vet, it would be worth the drive! I am on a fixed income, wanted to only purchase one heartworm pill and one frontline application, NO you cant do that!! Come on get real people. My vet will do it AND mail it to me at no extra charge. The front staff is RUDE!!! and non caring and one doesnt even speak english, that really helps. As soon as you speak to someone you know why they are in business, for the all mighty dollar. I am so happy to have a place to vent!! I will be sure to let others know to stay away from this place.

WOW, What happend to Sanford Animal?! I have been going there sense I was a kid with my parents, always a great hometown place, people always knew who we were and my animals, now, though I feel as if I am an alien walking in the door. The nurses dont even seem happy anymore, whats up? When you walk in the door the atmosphere is so sterile. I miss all the little neat stuff they had and the friendliness. They are now just like all the other vets in the area, only there for the money!

Whether it's the care Grace; my Amstaff, has received during her annual exams, cropped up emergencies or through boarding Dr. Settle and her knowledgeable team have and continue to provide the best of care. Sanford Animal Hospital and All Animal Hospitals are first-rate and top notch. I personally have done business with them for a number of years and have been nothing but totally happy with the staff. I don't know what problem one of the other poster's had, but my experience has been nothing like that sounded. Most people don't know, but Dr. Settle is the vet. for ""Bingo""; the beagle that won Westminster in 2008. That speaks volumes for her knowledge. I recommend them to many people and they have been very happy with their services.

The personnel at All Animals, Dr. Shontz's other hospital, is top-notch. Dr. McNamara and Dr. Shontz work well together, and the staff is knowledgeable and courteous.
