Surf City Pet Hospital took care of my little Kodak. We were in and out in no time. There was no waiting. They do charge for their services, so be prepared for that. I think they are comparable to other vets though. They had the meds that we needed right there. The whole experience was great. The doctor was nice and very thorough. She discussed all of the options and let us decide what we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend this vet hospital.

I’ve been going to Surf City pet Hospital since 2006 and has been very happy with the service I’ve gotten from the Vet and staff. Their prices are very reasonable and most importantly they are all very good to my pets. I had a dog named Sugar and when it was time to put her down they hurt as much it seemed after all she was 26 yrs old and had been going to them her whole life. Now the care for Sugars babies who’s 10 yrs old now and they are the only vets service I’d ever take my pets too. Thank you Surf City Pet Hospital for all you do and done over the yrs.

Only come here if you: 1) have an appointment and sit there for an hour and still not be seen or talked to. 2) love the smell of cat urine & dog hair. 3) liked to be put in a private room with your pregnant wife and german shepherd dog (that is not misbehaved AT ALL) just so another patient can wait in the waiting room with their two dogs that hate other animals and people and are obnoxious. Seriously, there are so many better options than this place. Don't waste your time.

We are happy to say we found a wonderful place to take our Maggie and Shelby when they need Vet care. Dr. Debbie is a compassionate and loving Veterinarian and her staff is always on top of everything. It's nice to know our girls are well taken care of for a fraction of the cost we used to pay while living in Minnesota. I can't thank Surf City Pet Hospital enough for their fast, caring and thorough service. While vacationing in Surf City, our family's dog got into a scuffle with another dog on the beach and was wounded. After calling multiple vet offices that refused to take walk-ins -- instead suggesting we drive an hour away to an animal ER -- Surf City understood our plight and quickly worked us into their schedule. Our pup is on the mend and we're forever grateful. Their prices, it's worth noting, are also very affordable. Highly recommend, with many thanks.

Here on vacation during the Thanksgiving holiday and my baby boy, Ruckus, decided to break his nail off badly needing emergency care. Well, Mama is immediately distraught because we are away from home and his regular doctor, but Google sends me to these lovely people. We didn't have an appointment, I just walked in asking for help and they immediately called my regular vet to verify his records and we were seen. He ultimately had to be sedated and the nail removed and I had a few rough "Mama" moments but he is now safe and comfortably sleeping off the anesthesia beside me. He will be right as rain in a few days but I am very grateful for the quick and caring attention he received. Thank you to the entire staff for taking care of my baby.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!My dog fell ill a while ago and I was really worried that she wouldn't make it. I scheduled an appointment with Surf City Pet Hospital and felt immediate relief. They checked her out, ran a couple of blood tests, clipped her nails, and gave her some medicine. They were very gentle with her, too. She's a nervous dog, so I'm sure she appreciated it. They offer all the flea and tick and heartworm treatments you can imagine. The prices are about the same as any vet and they DO take Care Credit if you need to use it. My pup got a 6-month heartworm injection, some antibiotics, a fecal test, and a basic examination for $151. Well worth it.There have cats everywhere! It was a kitty heaven! And they were so well-behaved and chill. There were a few up for adoption, too. If only, if only... I would have taken them all home with me.This happened back in May or so. My baby is doing much better thanks to them and I'm looking forward to making this her primary vet. Thank you again so much!

My experience at Surf City Pet Hospital was wonderful! The staff was friendly and welcoming and "Dr. Sally" was kind, caring, attentive, and very responsive to mine and my dog's needs. After giving Dr. Sally some background information about my dog, she examined him and gave him the test that he needed. The next day she called to follow up and give me the findings of the test results. She mentioned she had spoken to a specialist about my dog's condition, and then gave me her recommendations for treatment. I was very impressed and pleased that Dr. Sally had taken the time to inquire more about my pet's needs, before calling me give me to give her recommendations. I would highly recommend Surf City Pet Hospital who is looking for a vet in the area.

Had to take my kitty in for vaccines and teeth cleaning (she is only 3 1/2) I noted bad breath and some gum swelling. The Dr. was kind and patient with both of us. My baby had to have 3 extractions but she had pain medication and tolerated things ok..a little stubborn on not wanting to eat. 10 days later and she is back to her old self. We will be back, love this office.

I want to thank the Vet and staff at Surf City Pet Hospital for the tremendous care you gave to my dog Cal and our family when he became terribly ill several weeks ago. He passed away very suddenly but the warmth and empathy you showed made this so much better than it could have been. The staff gave me time with him at the end and lit a candle in the room. It was very thoughtful. They also followed up with a condolence card. This is a great place... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. [Note: we now think he was poisoned by eating Hibiscus plants that we had brought inside for the winter].

Only come here if you: 1) have an appointment and sit there for an hour and still not be seen or talked to. 2) love the smell of cat urine & dog hair. 3) liked to be put in a private room with your pregnant wife and german shepherd dog (that is not misbehaved AT ALL) just so another patient can wait in the waiting room with their two dogs that hate other animals and people and are obnoxious. Seriously, there are so many better options than this place. Don't waste your time.

We are happy to say we found a wonderful place to take our Maggie and Shelby when they need Vet care. Dr. Debbie is a compassionate and loving Veterinarian and her staff is always on top of everything. It's nice to know our girls are well taken care of for a fraction of the cost we used to pay while living in Minnesota. I can't thank Surf City Pet Hospital enough for their fast, caring and thorough service. While vacationing in Surf City, our family's dog got into a scuffle with another dog on the beach and was wounded. After calling multiple vet offices that refused to take walk-ins -- instead suggesting we drive an hour away to an animal ER -- Surf City understood our plight and quickly worked us into their schedule. Our pup is on the mend and we're forever grateful. Their prices, it's worth noting, are also very affordable. Highly recommend, with many thanks.

Here on vacation during the Thanksgiving holiday and my baby boy, Ruckus, decided to break his nail off badly needing emergency care. Well, Mama is immediately distraught because we are away from home and his regular doctor, but Google sends me to these lovely people. We didn't have an appointment, I just walked in asking for help and they immediately called my regular vet to verify his records and we were seen. He ultimately had to be sedated and the nail removed and I had a few rough "Mama" moments but he is now safe and comfortably sleeping off the anesthesia beside me. He will be right as rain in a few days but I am very grateful for the quick and caring attention he received. Thank you to the entire staff for taking care of my baby.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!My dog fell ill a while ago and I was really worried that she wouldn't make it. I scheduled an appointment with Surf City Pet Hospital and felt immediate relief. They checked her out, ran a couple of blood tests, clipped her nails, and gave her some medicine. They were very gentle with her, too. She's a nervous dog, so I'm sure she appreciated it. They offer all the flea and tick and heartworm treatments you can imagine. The prices are about the same as any vet and they DO take Care Credit if you need to use it. My pup got a 6-month heartworm injection, some antibiotics, a fecal test, and a basic examination for $151. Well worth it.There have cats everywhere! It was a kitty heaven! And they were so well-behaved and chill. There were a few up for adoption, too. If only, if only... I would have taken them all home with me.This happened back in May or so. My baby is doing much better thanks to them and I'm looking forward to making this her primary vet. Thank you again so much!

My experience at Surf City Pet Hospital was wonderful! The staff was friendly and welcoming and "Dr. Sally" was kind, caring, attentive, and very responsive to mine and my dog's needs. After giving Dr. Sally some background information about my dog, she examined him and gave him the test that he needed. The next day she called to follow up and give me the findings of the test results. She mentioned she had spoken to a specialist about my dog's condition, and then gave me her recommendations for treatment. I was very impressed and pleased that Dr. Sally had taken the time to inquire more about my pet's needs, before calling me give me to give her recommendations. I would highly recommend Surf City Pet Hospital who is looking for a vet in the area.

Had to take my kitty in for vaccines and teeth cleaning (she is only 3 1/2) I noted bad breath and some gum swelling. The Dr. was kind and patient with both of us. My baby had to have 3 extractions but she had pain medication and tolerated things ok..a little stubborn on not wanting to eat. 10 days later and she is back to her old self. We will be back, love this office.

I want to thank the Vet and staff at Surf City Pet Hospital for the tremendous care you gave to my dog Cal and our family when he became terribly ill several weeks ago. He passed away very suddenly but the warmth and empathy you showed made this so much better than it could have been. The staff gave me time with him at the end and lit a candle in the room. It was very thoughtful. They also followed up with a condolence card. This is a great place... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. [Note: we now think he was poisoned by eating Hibiscus plants that we had brought inside for the winter].
