I wish i could remember the name of the veterinarian that accepted a non scheduled emergency visit by me and my new puppy but she was amazing. I came in towards the end of the day and she saw my 6 month old pup without any heaitation. I could tell she really cared about any random animal that walked in and i admire her greatly.

If there was less than 1 star they deserve it. After a 20+ years as a customer of this veterinarian hospital my family included; my views changed drastically as of 6-15-2018. Having an appointment to have your fur-baby assisted to crossing the rainbow bridge with dignity. This was a hard choice to make after nearly 16 years of loving a pet as unconditionally as they love you. All was well except for emotions and many tears. The Vet gave our fur-baby a sedative and we knew the next time she came in would be the last for our baby. While we waited a desk attendant came into the room with a bill of service and asked us how we'd like to pay. I'm shocked, yet sad, yet angry this was even asked of us at this point in time. My mom and I both looking for our debit cards as we watch our baby slowly decline after the sedative. The attendant takes my card and then comes back with a receipt for me to sign. I'm crying so badly that I couldn't even see what I was signing YET she "WAS SORRY". If money before service is what they want, my money is no good there. They could have asked for a credit card to have on-file before we even made it past door number 2. They could have billed us and the payment would have been made promptly. You simply don't do this. I've shared this story with many people and they were mad as well. Years have past since we've had to do this and we were billed in the past along with a nice card signed by all. This place will no longer be of any service if I can help it and I encourage others to find a decent place for the care of the pets.

My review is based solely on Dr. Fox. My dog was diagnosed with a fairly rare disease by my prior vet. They basically told me they couldn't help me and so we were referred to a vet in Greensboro. They wanted to do a procedure that was going to cost over $5,000. I took her to Dr. Fox for a third opinion and he immediately knew what we were dealing with. His care plan has worked out amazingly well, is cost effective and prevented my dog from having to have an unnecessary procedure. I also love how he is upfront and honest about the cost of any procedures/medications/etc that he may be suggesting at the time. I fully trust him with the care of my pets and am thankful that we found him!

Dr. Scott Put my fur niece down last week. She was highly unprofessional, rude, and seemed very aloof. She was argumentative and has zero compassion. She has the bed side manor of a ham sandwich. She rushed through it, and tried to argue with us about a sedative. My poor fur niece's last moments were spent in terror and anguish because of Dr. Scott. She was unorganized and hurt my niece unnecessarily before ultimately administering her life ending drug. Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Fox are always attentive and exceptionally compassionate. My sister is racked with guilt about the way her dog died because of this monster! She needs to have her vet license revoked.

Walkertown Vet has exceeded any and all expectations a pet owner could ever imagine. Recently, my beloved yellow lab and companion of more than a decade became seriously ill - and quickly. Dr. Scott and the staff went above and beyond required care. Sadly, I lost Molly that day, but it would have been a million times worse without the comfort, caring and genuine concern from the Walkertown Vet staff.
Dr. Scott explained Molly's condition clearly and kindly answered numerous, probably repeated, questions without condensation or irritation. When the time came to stop Molly's suffering, I was told the front desk placed a sign on the front counter that read something to the effect of "a follow (client?) has lost a loved one. Please be respectful." accompanied by a small candle. Everyone was incredibly supportive. We chose to have Molly cremated, and Dr. Scott discussed the details with my husband while I wept. We were allowed to stay with my furry friend as long as I needed.
A few days later, an unexpected card arrived. It was from the entire staff. All had signed the card, many expressing their sympathies. But what the card contained was priceless and irreplaceable.
They had taken footprints of Molly's paw before they let her go. Something I never thought of, but will treasure forever.

I bring my two dogs here, and they both love Dr Ferguson! My dogs have been to two other vet clinics and did not like the doctor and was always anxious. They both love her, and she is a very caring doctor. The whole staff is great. My 18 year old cat was dying so we were on the way to have him put down, but he died when we pulled into parking lot on my lap. The male doctor, can't remember name, came out and pronounced Chestnut dead and a tech came out, and took chestnut in to put him in a comfrtabke position and boxed him up and gave me a card with his paw prints on paper that they immediately took with ink so I can have his paw prints forever. I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else. The prices for some care is about the same anywhere else you would go, too.

Dr Ferguson is the kindest and most caring vet I have ever taken my pets to. She is thorough, thoughtful and empathetic, both towards the animals and the owners. She cares about my pets almost as much as I do. The whole staff is also fantastic, easy to work with, professional and friendly. Everyone in the place really loves animals and takes the time to make the pets feel comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We have looked at many different Veterinarian offices trying to find just the right one. The one where both you and your fur babies feel treated with full respect and kindness. If you're a Walkin then that respects begins as soon as walk through the doors. The ladies at the desk greet you with beaming smiles and bright hellos. You can hear that same warmest over the phone when you call in for a appointment. Dr. Scott is who usually sees our fur babies and does an amazing job at it too. But we saw Dr. Fox this pas time due to a conflict on our part. Dr. Fox stepped right in and made us feel perfectly at ease. The whole staff at Walkertown Veterinarian Hospital is great. I want to thank the people of Walkertown Veterinary especially Dr.Scott for being so good with my sweet Daisy. I know that you done all that you could. Her little body was just wore out. You'll never know how much it meant to us to be able to spend that time with her on the day that she passed. I miss her soooo much. I can't seem to make myself put her things away yet. I love you all for taking such good care of her. I know people probably think I'm crazy cause I just can't seem to quit crying. I know it'll get better but In the meantime it still hurts like crap. Anyway thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my sweet beautiful Daisy. She was the love of my life. Thank you especially to Dr.Scott for always being there for us.

The vets are cold and heartless. The only good thing about Walkertown Vet is Anne. My cat had to be put to sleep because of neurological issues. Because of the way he was acting, which only due to him not feeling good, being confused, and having blood drawn, they reported him as possibly having rabies. None of which was explained to me when he passed. I received a call 2 days later stating that I would receive his remains except for his head, because that would be sent to Raleigh for the rabies test. Let me say that he was up-to-date on his rabies shot. I spoke to the owner who was of no assistance. 3 days later I call the cremation place and they didn't have my cat. I called the vets office to find out that he was in the freezer and no one knew why he hadn't been released. To sum it all up, they made a sad occurrence a million times worse by giving me the run around. No one communicated anything to me up front, and the manner in which I received information was poorly stated. Please choose another Vet. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I went through. You want your pets in the hands of warm caring people, not in-compassionate people that are only worried about a dollar.

She cares about my pets almost as much as I do. The whole staff is also fantastic, easy to work with, professional and friendly. Everyone in the place really loves animals and takes the time to make the pets feel comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Vernon is such a big part of our family and like a new mama, when our baby seems sick I want to take him to people who genuinely care. We will definitely bring Vernon back for future check ups. Wonderful staff. You can tell they all really love animals. When we had to let Dozer be put to sleep due to Congestive Heart Failure, both Dr. Fox and the Tech who helped us had tears in their eyes. Wonderful, compassionate people! My daughter even brings her Lucy up from Concord to see Dr. Fox!

We have looked at many different Veterinarian offices trying to find just the right one. The one where both you and your fur babies feel treated with full respect and kindness. If you're a Walkin then that respects begins as soon as walk through the doors. The ladies at the desk greet you with beaming smiles and bright hellos. You can hear that same warmest over the phone when you call in for a appointment. Dr. Scott is who usually sees our fur babies and does an amazing job at it too. But we saw Dr. Fox this pas time due to a conflict on our part. Dr. Fox stepped right in and made us feel perfectly at ease. The whole staff at Walkertown Veterinarian Hospital is great. We have 3 Cocker Spaniels in our family. They get great care at Walkertown. We are also a breeder and all our babies get great care at Walkertown. Staff seems to enjoy working with the pets

I want to thank the people of Walkertown Veterinary especially Dr.Scott for being so good with my sweet Daisy. I know that you done all that you could. Her little body was just wore out. You'll never know how much it meant to us to be able to spend that time with her on the day that she passed. I miss her soooo much. I can't seem to make myself put her things away yet. I love you all for taking such good care of her. I know people probably think I'm crazy cause I just can't seem to quit crying. I know it'll get better but In the meantime it still hurts like crap. Anyway thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my sweet beautiful Daisy. She was the love of my life. Thank you especially to Dr.Scott for always being there for us.

I am very emotional and when I cried they understood and comforted me with hugs and yes some with tears. I will never take one of my pets anywhere else. They are Family to me. I Love them all. The vets are cold and heartless. The only good thing about Walkertown Vet is Anne. My cat had to be put to sleep because of neurological issues. Because of the way he was acting, which only due to him not feeling good, being confused, and having blood drawn, they reported him as possibly having rabies. None of which was explained to me when he passed. I received a call 2 days later stating that I would receive his remains except for his head, because that would be sent to Raleigh for the rabies test. Let me say that he was up-to-date on his rabies shot. I spoke to the owner who was of no assistance. 3 days later I call the cremation place and they didn't have my cat. I called the vets office to find out that he was in the freezer and no one knew why he hadn't been released. To sum it all up, they made a sad occurrence a million times worse by giving me the run around. No one communicated anything to me up front, and the manner in which I received information was poorly stated. Please choose another Vet. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I went through. You want your pets in the hands of warm caring people, not in-compassionate people that are only worried about a dollar.
