Everyone there was so great! They were all super friendly and caring! I absolutely loved that they allowed us to bring our other dog in, cause they NEED each other. Even though our other dog was way too excited to help keep our dog calm the doctors knew exactly how to handle him. They didn't do any unnecessary test to find out what was going on with him, which was something that I’ve experienced in the past with other vet offices. My cat Patches had a very bad broke leg near the shoulder. I took Patches in February to Neuse River Vet. Xrays were taken and I was told a surgeon would be shown the xrays. I called Neuse River back a couple days later and told them I was concern cause I hadn't heard anything. Dr Connie talked to me on the phone and told me that she could splint the leg for me. I was willing to try that. My cat's leg was so bad, it may have had to be amputated. My cat wore a splint for 6 weeks and it is healed. The staff was great at Neuse River and so is Dr Connie. Excellent care with costing an arm and a leg. I wanted to add more to this besides the care and cost - my beloved jerk of a cat has developed some pretty major health issues and Dr Connie has been wonderfully helpful and supportive in her recommendations and advice in his long term care. Dr. Meyer was extremely thorough, taking the time to explain each area of the exam in great detail. I do not have horses, but I had a white german shep. named Sammy and Dr. Jim was a Godsend to him with acupuncture. He developed hip issues when he was 5 years old. Dr. Jim worked on him and he came home wanting to play ball. I took him in for a "tune up" once a year and he lived to be almost 14.5 yrs. thanks to Dr. Jim's care. Dr Connie is great. Been going there for years with 2 dogs. Another person says there expensive, I think they are fair, I love my dogs & I dont want the cheapest care around. Dr. Connie is wonderful with our dogs. She has had great compassion when we've had to walk through the end process of our pets lives (dogs and cats) and has been able to save one of our dogs when another vet could not! Due to his numerous health problems we had constant visits to the office, and I met all of the Doctors, Technicians, and Staff that Neuse had to offer. It wasn't until I met Doctor Jones and Technician Nellie that I knew I had found the perfect fit for me, and my little ones. My furry family has changed through the years and Doctor Jones and Nellie have been there with me through all of the good and the bad!They have always made time to see us when we needed them, and have always called to check in on us to see how we were doing after visits. They have always educated us on any findings, and made sure we were ok with the visit and understood everything in its entirety. I've dealt with Doctors from this hospital on two occasions, and both times I found them well informed and easy to talk to. The first was at the death of a horse at a farm my fiancé was working at (natural death) when a doctor came out to examine the horse. She was very easy going and handled the situation with understated grace, humor and aplomb, providing great contrast to some of the more hysterical people in the audience. The second time I went was when I took my cat in for her initial vaccinations and check up, and again I found the doctor (a different one this time) to be quite well informed and adept at answering my questions.Neuse River is definitely one of the better Veterinary clinics I've been to and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
