One of my dogs was not eating for months and she is now full of hair and happiness after I met another vet.Also I am still upset that Dr Dugan Did not call the day before surgery (neutering) about the blood results. Which were not appropriate for surgery!I found another vet who is more pro active and seems to love pets more than money,

My wife and I brought our Chihuahua in because she seemed to be in a little pain. The staff was so friendly and thorough, making sure they had all the correct information. We had a very short wait before we were brought into one of the examination rooms where we were greeted by Dr. Dugan, who is really very nice and caring. He gently proceeded with an exam until he found what seemed to be the problem. After a quick procedure our Olive was back to her happy, energetic self! I would highly recommend Dr. Dugan and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Dugan or his staff had ever met me. I walked in the door with my baby not knowing she was in heart failure. She had to be put to sleep which was heart breaking but through it all Dr. Dugan never r...
Dr. Dugan or his staff had ever met me. I walked in the door with my baby not knowing she was in heart failure. She had to be put to sleep which was heart breaking but through it all Dr. Dugan never rushed me and his staff treated me kind and understood my pain and more importantly what Bitsy was going through. He talked to me AND to her. His compassion and time is something that's hard to find in the fast paced world today. Dr. Dugan repeated what was happening to Bitsy as many times as I needed to get a grip on what was happening and how SHE felt. I've been to several vets with my babies looking for the right one and I've found it. Dr. Dugan and his wonderful staff will be seeing my other babies from here on out. Thank you Dr. Dugan and everyone that works there for your compassion and for the sympathy card with the Rainbow Bridge letter.

They wouldn't treat my dog without charging me to register him in NC, even though I was just visiting. I paid the fee bc Leo had a severe eye infection that needed to be dealt with immediately. The treatment administered was shotty at best, had to bring him to our vet when we got home, at which point I was informed that Leo could have lost his eyesight due to it not being treated properly by CCAH. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

Dr. Dugan and his team are so wonderful. We take our french bulldog here and we've always received very courteous and caring service. When we were calling around to find a vet Dr. Dugan's vet tech spoke with us on the phone and answered any questions we had so patiently. The receptionists are always kind and easily schedule or reschedule appointments based on whats convenient for us and schedule to see us same day in cases where we were worried. They also call to remind us of our appointments the day before.
All of the vet tech's are so sweet to our dog and very reassuring about any procedures they are doing. Dr. Dugan always takes the time to answer my laundry list of questions about vaccinations, skin issues, bathroom issues, or anything under the sun and our dog loves him - even when she's getting shots (which she never notices). I feel like our dog receives the absolute best care here.
Facilities are very clean as well.

Very disappointed. I called and spoke to someone twice about having medication called in to the pharmacy for my cat who has asthma because she received care here recently and I was told we could just call in her medicine when her asthma started acting up again. I spent all day waiting when I could have taken her in somewhere and received treatment immediately instead. Expensive, very rude receptionist, and uncaring. If they aren't making money off you they don't care about your pet.

I called and spoke to someone twice about having medication called in to the pharmacy for my cat who has asthma because she received care here recently and I was told we could just call in her medicine when her asthma started acting up again. I want to thank Dr Dugan for his care of my French Bulldog, Kona! I was very hesitant to have Kona put to sleep for dental work due to the fact that he had problems with the anesthesia when he was a small pup. I've heard horror stories of Bulldogs and French Bulldogs having problems (and in some cases dying) from the anesthesia! Well, Kona came out of the anesthesia and dental work like a champ! I want everyone to know that I have 100% confidence in Dr Dugan's abilities as a first class veterinarian! Please don't ever hesitate to take your animal babies to him for any reason!

I have been bringing my dog, Isabel, to see Dr Dugan since she was 3 months old. She is now 12 years old. Yesterday Isabel had a medical emergency that resulted in a splenectomy. Thank God Dr Dugan and his wonderful employees were there. Dr Dugan was so compassionate and patient with me while I made one of the toughest decisions of my life. Dr Dugan saved my sweet girls life and I will be forever grateful!!

I have been going to this vet since 2004. The rates may be a little higher than some other vets but they do not ever do any unnecessary tests or try and "sell" you anything. Just like other things in life this is worth the extra $5 here and there. Peace of mind is priceless.They give you the truth. They are patient with you and you are never made to feel like you are just a number. The care they take with the animals is outstanding. Over the years I have brought them all kinds of issues, being involved with rescue and they, well they, are OUTSTANDING.

Dr. Dugan and his staff are exceptionally warm and wonderful with our kitties. Tom lived several years longer than he would have because of their expert care, and when he passed at 20, they were all so caring to all of us. My other two kitties also go here and even though they hate being held, the ladies seem to work their magic in keeping them calm. I have no idea how the carry them into the back without so much as a whimper. My sister, neighbors, and friends also take their furbabies to Coastal Carolina Animal Hospital because we trust them.

This vet is great. I had been taking my dog to another vet for years for her recurring ear infections/ "allergies" and they kept giving her more ear drops on top of anti-biotics each visit and finally i took her to see him and he not only charged less than I've ever spent at the other, but took the time to have all of her records sent over to review all the meds and look over them to see and come to the exact conclusion of what her main allergies were. The other vet came up with many costly hit or miss solutions and thousands of dollars later still no improvement. Not only did he take much more time with her and her needs but pin-pointed exactly what her issue was being caused by, but with great sincere while doing so. He is a great vet who really cares about his patients and has tons of experience with not only my dog but many animals of mine over the years such as bird, hamster, and cat. I strongly recommend him over any others in Wilmington. He is great at what he does and seems to love every day of it. Thank you Dr. Dugan!!!!

They wouldn't treat my dog without charging me to register him in NC, even though I was just visiting. I paid the fee bc Leo had a severe eye infection that needed to be dealt with immediately. The treatment administered was shotty at best, had to bring him to our vet when we got home, at which point I was informed that Leo could have lost his eyesight due to it not being treated properly by CCAH. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

Dr. Dugan and his team are so wonderful. We take our french bulldog here and we've always received very courteous and caring service. When we were calling around to find a vet Dr. Dugan's vet tech spoke with us on the phone and answered any questions we had so patiently. The receptionists are always kind and easily schedule or reschedule appointments based on whats convenient for us and schedule to see us same day in cases where we were worried. They also call to remind us of our appointments the day before.
All of the vet tech's are so sweet to our dog and very reassuring about any procedures they are doing. Dr. Dugan always takes the time to answer my laundry list of questions about vaccinations, skin issues, bathroom issues, or anything under the sun and our dog loves him - even when she's getting shots (which she never notices). I feel like our dog receives the absolute best care here.
Facilities are very clean as well.

Very disappointed. I called and spoke to someone twice about having medication called in to the pharmacy for my cat who has asthma because she received care here recently and I was told we could just call in her medicine when her asthma started acting up again. I spent all day waiting when I could have taken her in somewhere and received treatment immediately instead. Expensive, very rude receptionist, and uncaring. If they aren't making money off you they don't care about your pet.

I called and spoke to someone twice about having medication called in to the pharmacy for my cat who has asthma because she received care here recently and I was told we could just call in her medicine when her asthma started acting up again. I want to thank Dr Dugan for his care of my French Bulldog, Kona! I was very hesitant to have Kona put to sleep for dental work due to the fact that he had problems with the anesthesia when he was a small pup. I've heard horror stories of Bulldogs and French Bulldogs having problems (and in some cases dying) from the anesthesia! Well, Kona came out of the anesthesia and dental work like a champ! I want everyone to know that I have 100% confidence in Dr Dugan's abilities as a first class veterinarian! Please don't ever hesitate to take your animal babies to him for any reason!

I have been bringing my dog, Isabel, to see Dr Dugan since she was 3 months old. She is now 12 years old. Yesterday Isabel had a medical emergency that resulted in a splenectomy. Thank God Dr Dugan and his wonderful employees were there. Dr Dugan was so compassionate and patient with me while I made one of the toughest decisions of my life. Dr Dugan saved my sweet girls life and I will be forever grateful!!

I have been going to this vet since 2004. The rates may be a little higher than some other vets but they do not ever do any unnecessary tests or try and "sell" you anything. Just like other things in life this is worth the extra $5 here and there. Peace of mind is priceless.They give you the truth. They are patient with you and you are never made to feel like you are just a number. The care they take with the animals is outstanding. Over the years I have brought them all kinds of issues, being involved with rescue and they, well they, are OUTSTANDING.

Dr. Dugan and his staff are exceptionally warm and wonderful with our kitties. Tom lived several years longer than he would have because of their expert care, and when he passed at 20, they were all so caring to all of us. My other two kitties also go here and even though they hate being held, the ladies seem to work their magic in keeping them calm. I have no idea how the carry them into the back without so much as a whimper. My sister, neighbors, and friends also take their furbabies to Coastal Carolina Animal Hospital because we trust them.

This vet is great. I had been taking my dog to another vet for years for her recurring ear infections/ "allergies" and they kept giving her more ear drops on top of anti-biotics each visit and finally i took her to see him and he not only charged less than I've ever spent at the other, but took the time to have all of her records sent over to review all the meds and look over them to see and come to the exact conclusion of what her main allergies were. The other vet came up with many costly hit or miss solutions and thousands of dollars later still no improvement. Not only did he take much more time with her and her needs but pin-pointed exactly what her issue was being caused by, but with great sincere while doing so. He is a great vet who really cares about his patients and has tons of experience with not only my dog but many animals of mine over the years such as bird, hamster, and cat. I strongly recommend him over any others in Wilmington. He is great at what he does and seems to love every day of it. Thank you Dr. Dugan!!!!
