I've been taking my kitty here since I first got him. He received two years of annuals including rabies shots and other vaccines. When I called to get his records for my new apartment, the woman was super helpful and was able to have them emailed to me right after the phone call. I also needed a vet's signature on his rabies certificate before travel. I was able to drop it off (as the vet had a family emergency that day) and pick it up at my convenience a couple days letter with the signature I needed. Everyone is so sweet and they have made my senior aged dog better than he has been in a really really long time. I go to dr. Halverson who is absolutely awesome. However they have new veterinarian and I can't say anything about her because I've never met her or talk to her or anyting. I would not go anywhere else!... My dog is like my child! Read Less

First time here and they fit me in when we got a new puppy that needed to be checked out and our vet couldn't fit us in. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They give a little bag of goodies for new puppies. The vet was very patient and let us ask a lot of questions. The vet tech was also really great. We will keep the puppy at this vet and we may transition our senior lab here too just bc it's so close to our house and I really liked their demeanor. Read Less

I moved here about 8 or 9 months ago and started taking "the kids" here. They are very professional and helpful, especially when i bring 3 or more at one time. (Still don't know why i did that lol) Dr. Halverson is the only vet they've seen here and although i have a couple of uncooperative/nervous pets, her and the staff always take it slow to try and make them comfortable. When I voiced concerns of feeding my dog kibble, they offered me advice for cooking my own food properly to get the right nutrients rather than lecturing me or offering food sold by the vet. And, when I needed them most, they were there for me. My dog was attacked and required surgery from the trauma vet in town. They called immediately after getting the fax of his care to make sure he was okay and get follow up care scheduled. They also ensured the follow up visits were discounted so I didn't get another huge bill after the emergency surgery (at another facility). Very classy, and very appreciated for a sad mom seeing her dog go through something like that. Thank you LaCroix for providing great care! Read Less

Being new to this area needed to find a close VET for my 2yr old, big baby , lab/pit , Lil Jack. The staff was professional and helpful. I came here on a recommendation from a friend for a first patient exam for my kitten Abel. I couldn't have been more pleased.  I signed in and in less than 5 minutes I was in.  The vet tech was very friendly and patient with me as I asked many questions.  The vet was friendly as well.  I could tell they really cared for the welfare of Abel.  As part of the initial exam, he received a FVRCP vaccine, fecal exam, intestinal parasite treatment, and a feline triple FIV.  They also trimmed his long claws.  I'm very satisfied with my choice of vet and feel confident Abel will get the best care here! Love Dr. Halvorsen and her staff. We had to have our kitty, Delilah, put down this past summer due to a bladder tumor. She went out of her way to make sure the diagnosis was accurate and called me every step of the way. She and her staff handled that situation with so much compassion and thoughtfulness. It was one of the worst days of my life, but they make you feel like family by how much they really care about our pets. Words cannot express how awesome the people are that make up this compassionate crew. We have had five 4-legged children under their care. Some of them with serious health issues and others without. We love LaCroix! I know when our two kitties go for check ups or sick visits that they are in good hands! The vets, techs, and other staff are all incredibly friendly and make our pets feel loved. I went in because my cat had worms and fleas, and I just wanted to get medicine for her. I made an appointment and they didn't even want to hear why I was scheduling a visit, all they cared about was his past medical history. When I showed up, they still didn't ask, and I tried telling them and they said "we would've found out anyway." Then, before they would just give him the medicine, they snuck in two vaccinations that he didn't need because he's an inside cat: distemper and rabies, and the distemper one has a second shot that you have to schedule another visit and go back for. And THEN they did unnecessary tests on him for feline leukemia, and charged me for that as well. This entire visit cost me $150, and would've cost $190 if I had not had a coupon. They are just trying to get your money and scam you, don't trust them with your pet. I will be taking my cat somewhere else from now on. Read Less

I've been taking my Weim to Lacroix for a while now.  My pet and I have always been treated with kindness and respect.  The vets and techs are both knowledgeable and thorough and recognize my dog and I when we walk in the door.  My dog actually gets excited when we pull into the parking lot and she realizes where we are.  Prices are average - not the cheapest place in town, but not the most expensive.  I would recommend this veterinary hospital to my friends and family. My husband and I found a little stray male cat. We planned to have him neutered and get his shots on payday and make him part of our family. He had fleas and ear mites so my husband stopped at the Lacroix Veterinary Clinic to purchase a tube of Revolution. The woman at the front desk said they didn't sell Revolution over the counter. The cat would have to be seen by a vet to get it. My husband asked if there was anything that they did sell over the counter for fleas or could she recommend anything as we couldn't afford to see the vet until the end of the month. Her recommendation was that we find the cat a better home since we were unwilling to give him the proper care. My husband thought he'd heard her wrong and asked her to repeat what she'd said. She told him he was unfit to have an animal and that he should find the cat a better home. A patient in the waiting room gasped in disbelief when she heard the woman say this. My husband said that he would be using another vet in the future and left. He'd given his name when he came in and our info was in their computer. She called Animal control, reported us for animal abuse and neglect and we are now facing $300 in fines and were given 72 hours to get the little stray neutered, get his shots and have him treated for fleas and ear mites or all our cats (we have four old cats who used to be strays) would be taken from our home and we could be facing more fines and possible jail time. The Lacroix staff have destroyed this family financially and emotionally for no reason. Read Less
