Dr. Rockwell and her staff are intelligent, thoughtful, and compassionate. Dr. Rockwell performed a full-mouth extraction (less canines) for one of our cats- a pretty risky procedure. Four years later, there have been NO complications and her mouth/eating habits have remained perfect. Same cat afflicted with cystitis- was treated and cured by Dr. R and her staff in one visit with detailed instruction on how to keep the cat well. I took her to a less expensive clinic vet for her annual this year and the vet and tech were blown away by how much care and talent went into her oral surgery, stating how impossible it is to complete that flawlessly. This place is amazing and very well priced for the services provided. I drive 1 1/2 hours to bring my cats here. If it weren't for Sound Cat one of my cats would not have made it to his 4th Birthday. Doctor was a drunk. I could smell it on her as she walked in the door and her hands was trembling. My cat had a kidney problem and the doctor said we was good to go, and she hadn't even gave us the pills for it. We wound up leaving and had to turn back around and drive 30 mins back. They didn't wait for us or nothing, closed shop and left the pills on the porch. We tried to give him those pills but it turned him evil and he only lasted about another month or two after that. Our cat passed away on Sunday,and we knew about that just on Monday. We paid about $500 few days before and doctor said,she can try to help the cat,need just left him on the Hospital.Before,on Saturday,we called to the clinic and head "you cat is better". Nobody called on Sunday,nobody answer cellphone on Sunday.They said:"we don't call on Sunday". We pick up died cat in too small box with closed scotch...I understand,that seek cat can be died,but people have to stay people every day,Sunday too...We are so upset,nobody explained who is duty in this clinic on Sunday. Where to begin...we have been taking our cats here for almost a decade. Dr. Williams and Dr. Rockwell will go above and beyond to make sure that our babies receive the best possible care. These doctors and staff get that our cats are truly members of our family and treat them as such. They genuinely have a passion for what the do, and always take into consideration the cat's best interest. Over the years, we have had to say goodbye to two of our beloved babies. I can't say enough about the way The Sound Cat handled this process, both times. They faught to keep them here with us, and at the end gave us our options. They allowed the decision to be ours when the time was right, when we were ready, and when keeping them here with us would just be prolonging the inevitable. Both times were handled with such dignity and grace, and I will forever be grateful! I've read some of the other reviews, and what I have to say to that is that pets are expensive. Its not a one time adoption fee and food. Receiving the best possible care for your cat is not free! I have never once been shocked by a bill with them. If I am not in the office, they give me an over-the-phone estimate and let me know if it's looking to be more or less as the day(s) go on. If I'm in the office, I always sign a sheet being shown the guesstimate of charges! Dr. Williams and Dr. Rockwell have cared for my personal cats as well as all the babies i foster for Operation Topcat. I can't imagine taking any of them anywhere else. I trust them without doubt and have never felt the need for a second opinion. They treat every cat that comes through the doors as if it were their own cat, and not just a client. They truly do care about the outcome of each and every feline they see! The care by the vet techs are superb, Jason, Heather, Janna..., Cat, Denise, and a few new ones i know by site, take the time and give the attention to each individual cat. From the minute you walk through the door and are welcomed by Jen, Shannon or Jeremy, they know who you are, who you are bringing in and are quick to triage emergent issues. There are other competent, caring, vet practices in our area, but i cannot imagine going anywhere else. I have had to spend at least $1500 in the last two months. I had several family emergencies so I had no choice but to board my cats. The first time, when I picked my cats up one was smothered in food and I had to give him a bath. Another cat came home with pancreatitis. This time all three cats have a respiratory infection. Possibly feline herpes. I am a single parent, just came back from a funeral and now I have to pill 3 cats for 10 days. I do not suggest going to this location. Dr. Williams and her staff are so wonderful to our cats AND us. The care they provide can be pricey, but it is because they treat the cats like human patients (who can't talk) to help determine what is wrong with them using tools like ultrasound and x-ray when needed. However, we have never had them 'surprise us' with costly procedures, but instead have always communicated the benefits and costs first. I've been here several times in the past week and I want to express how thankful I am. My kitten was suddenly unable to walk, she had been taken to several other vets, but no one could figure it out, even now the answer is uncertain, but when Claws and Paws said "No ma'am you don't need to bring her in again, if she isn't walking on her own by now then there's nothing we can do. Have a nice day." I lost it. They had just given up on her after just one visit. BUT my mother in law recommended me to the Sound Cat. And in just TWO days in their care...she came back home being able to stand again! And is now undergoing some home physical therapy. Each day she is getting better, being able to walk just a couple more steps. She's only 8 months old. So I have higher hopes now than I did before about her recovery. I couldn't be happier. They take great care of our kitty. They also suggested adding a food to his usual diet to keep him from needing to be put under for a teeth cleaning and their suggested food has worked great for us and our kitty. As the owner of two cats, one with IBS, I've spent a fair bit of time at The Sound Cat over the last three years. I've had the pleasure of dealing with both Dr. Williams and Dr. Rockwell and have found them, like the rest of the staff here, to be knowledgeable and pleasant; Anita, at the front desk, even knows me, and my kitties, by name! Also, Cricket, the friendly office Sphynx cat, and all the adoptable kitties are fun to visit with if you happen to be waiting for your appointment or test results. I greatly appreciate how complete this facility is and that tests and procedures are done promptly in-house. I also appreciate being in the room for my cat's many ultrasounds and that both Dr. Rockwell and Dr. Williams took the time to explain what they were seeing during the ultrasound exam. In terms of price, I can't complain especially since I have two healthy cats, one with a chronic illness (which Dr. Rockwell diagnosed and keeps in check). For large procedures, such as surgery, I was provided with an itemized price quote which was not exceeded; for prices on everything else, I just ask! I was also able to take advantage of a dental promotion for some necessary (tooth extraction) dental work which made the procedure more affordable. Finally, when my kitty had a run in with a fish hook (my one and only "emergency" so far) I was seen immediately and the hook was removed quickly and for free! If I could only find a vet this wonderful to take my dog to, I'd be all set! Read Less
