The place is not clean, very unsanitary. They are unprofessional and should not be in business. They do not sanitize anything, which then spreads diseases. I brought several kittens to get spayed and a couple days later all my cats had parvo. My cats have never been sick before until I went there. At the end I had ten cats and kittens die from the parvo that Fix A Friend is spreading. I have a large barn that all the cats stayed in and around and now I have one. Thanks Fix A Friend. You Suck!!!

I don't recommend this place at all for your pets. I had 2 kittens neutered and their poor little "areas" look like they did a hack job. I've had Male kittens neutered in the past and they never looked this bad. To top it off, they came back infested with fleas which have also been getting on, and biting my 14 month old daughter!!! I won't go back for any reason, ever.

horrible experience. When I arrived, nobody greeted me, assured me my dogs are in good hands (my dogs are my babies and I'm always worrying about dropping them off to anybody), or was friendly. It was that "well drop them off and leave", condescending attitude. Second, I was told they would call me as soon as they were done and I didn't receive anything. I ended up showing up randomly and they were done already. Third, both my dogs got back from being neutered, one has the WORST infection I've and the vet has seen due to botched surgery and no meds and my pup has kennel cough. You might save some cash, but I highly recommend taking them to an actual vet office where they keep the dogs all day, make sure they have the correct medication, and they are in good hands.

I had my 2 cats neutered at fix a friend and they did amazing. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. I spoke very highly of them until today. Yesterday I had called and got the answering machine. I left a message with my number stating I had some questions about getting a feral cat fixed. Today I get a call from Nicole with fix a friend. I answered and told Nicole I was wanting to know what I needed to do to get a feral cat fixed. I explained the situation and she proceeded to have the most condescending attitude with me. I was nothing but polite with her. I’m sorry to say I will never use fix a friend again nor will I recommend them. I did call cape fear spay and neuter clinic right after and they were nothing but kind and helpful!

Horrible customer service and communication. I scheduled my cats appointment 6 weeks in advance, called a few weeks later to confirm, and no one wrote down I needed my cat to be done by 3. Today I found out cats don’t go back until ALL the dogs are finished (1/1:30), but we have to drop off at 7:30 am?! Go In today for the appointment and no one “knew”. The lady at the register cursed me out saying I was a horrible owner and she is tired of talking to me. No one would let me pay so I could leave. After being forced to sign a release form with false information and incorrect names I was able to finally see my cat (3:45) she came out completely alert and awake. I don’t know why they made such a fuss about me taking her when she was clearly alert. I wasn’t given any instructions on how to care for her, how she was closed up, or if everything went okay. They don’t keep any records of exactly when my cat was put under or her surgery began. At 1 she was being prepped and at 2:18 she was in surgery for a 25 min spay. Nichole than told me I would have to pay to board my cat and wouldn’t let me see her to verify if she was awake or not. The lack of decent human respect these people have is disgusting.
Trust me go somewhere else.

I am new to Wilmington and have been trying to adopt a kitten with my 9 year old nephew for months now and have applied twice and been rejected solely based on the fact that I cannot adopt two kittens. My most recent experience was this week where my application was skipped over ONCE AGAIN because I could not take two kittens and someone had applied to take the two. I completely understand fosters wanting kittens who have grown together to stay together, but it is not ALWAYS possible. If I could I would have gladly taken all of the kittens. But being rejected twice because I am unable to take on two at once? If this is the policy for this business then I am EXTREMELY disappointed considering the mission is to give cats/kittens a loving and caring home.

I've had two of my pets (one cat and one dog) spayed at fix a friend. They could not have been in better hands! The vet and vet techs explained everything that was going to happen to my babies before and after the surgery, which put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable with them since they didn't make me feel stupid. There were some complications (infections), so they had to go back to fix a friend for meds and check ups, but the staff there made it as easy as possible for me. The work these people do often goes unnoticed and unappreciated, so thank you fix a friend!

Worst place ever !! DO NOT take your dog there !! They said my dog would be better in 7-10 days and on day 6 the incision site ripped open . You could see her insides. That should not happen on day 6 she should be almost all the way healed . She even had a cone on the whole time . Had to take her to a emergency vet and had to put her back under to get staples to close her back up . Spend the extra money and go somewhere else ! Anywhere but here !! I hope I can turn as many people away from here as possible . My dogs are my kids they mean the world to me and wants what best for them and that is not this place !!

The place is not clean, very unsanitary. They are unprofessional and should not be in business. They do not sanitize anything, which then spreads diseases. I don't recommend this place at all for your pets. I had 2 kittens neutered and their poor little "areas" look like they did a hack job. I've had Male kittens neutered in the past and they never looked this bad. To top it off, they came back infested with fleas which have also been getting on, and biting my 14 month old daughter!!! I have had all 3 of my dogs fixed here and I brought in 1 feral cat. These people are the best. I truly cannot say enough great things about them. I am super protective of my pets and they took such wonderful care of my babies and they were so easy to work with. Thanks, guys!

I've had two of my pets (one cat and one dog) spayed at fix a friend. They could not have been in better hands! The vet and vet techs explained everything that was going to happen to my babies before and after the surgery, which put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable with them since they didn't make me feel stupid. There were some complications (infections), so they had to go back to fix a friend for meds and check ups, but the staff there made it as easy as possible for me. The work these people do often goes unnoticed and unappreciated, so thank you fix a friend!

Worst place ever !! DO NOT take your dog there !! They said my dog would be better in 7-10 days and on day 6 the incision site ripped open . You could see her insides. That should not happen on day 6...
Worst place ever !! DO NOT take your dog there !! They said my dog would be better in 7-10 days and on day 6 the incision site ripped open . You could see her insides. That should not happen on day 6 she should be almost all the way healed . She even had a cone on the whole time . Had to take her to a emergency vet and had to put her back under to get staples to close her back up . Spend the extra money and go somewhere else ! Anywhere but here !! I hope I can turn as many people away from here as possible . My dogs are my kids they mean the world to me and wants what best for them and that is not this place !!
