Staff was nice. Had dog boarding here, and when she was picked up,she smelled terrible, like pee and poop mixed with some type of dog perfume,I had to give her a bath as soon as I walked in the house. The smell was so strong it transferred to the hoodie I had on. She used the bathroom on herself at some point during the boarding stay, and we were charged for Hazardous waste. My dog also had a seizure today, and even tho they were polite about it,they basically told me that I should take her to the Carolina Veterinary Specialist, since they had too much going on there, and couldn’t give us the best care. I switched vets.
Oldtown Veterinary Hospital was able to get her in,do a exam/blood work, and urinalysis in less than 2 hours, and sent us home with a prescription for the seizures, until we can figure out our next course of action, after we get the test results back tomorrow.I’m not sure what was going on there today, but the nasty remarks in her file that you had faxed about her “nails being so long it’s surprising she could walk” was a bit snotty. You do not know the story on how we adopted her and gave her a better home, her owner wasn’t able to get her groomed, and trim her nails, they were much worse before we took her to her first grooming session, the dog hadn’t been vaccinated, and had fleas out the wazoo. She has long nails, but let’s not act like we didn’t do anything about it,because we paid twice at this establishment to have them trimmed. With professional trimmings, they have gotten better, excuse me for not wanting to injure her when she flops around and nips at me,while I’m trying to cut them every week. She could get around just fine,so I appreciate you,not helping much. At least ya’ll were nice in person. Read Less
