Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital

Winston-Salem, North Carolina
General Info
Pet owners across North Carolina are assisted by Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital, based out of Winston-Salem, in synchronizing behavior needs, health plans, and exam schedules within their households. This is especially important when multiple pets coexist and exhibit diverse habits that stem from their natural rhythms. During the first consultation, veterinarians evaluate a pet's past history and look at behavior patterns together with recent changes while also considering their position within a household. Examinations focus on individual assessments such as posture checks, ear and eye clarity, skin health and hydration status while also closely monitoring their gait or temperament around humans or animals alike. Shared symptoms like mild coughing and low appetite in environments with multiple pets. Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital provides customized wellness planning, weight monitoring, dental examinations, and preventative scheduling in addition to diagnostic services and surgical consultations. Care plans are staged to maximize owner logistics and pet personality – spacing out visits if needed or grouping procedures together for better time/use of energy “flow.” Households with multiple pets due to new adoptions, age-related slowdowns, or travel schedules find that routines become sustainable. Clinic staff walk families through options in a way that provides just enough information to make decisions easy without being overwhelming. Every step of the way, owners can ask questions because of the built-in communication that each appointment and follow-up entails. Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital helps families in Winston-Salem and the surrounding North Carolina areas to establish veterinary routines that fit their home life, so their pets can “speak” to them, and every appointment makes a difference. Services offered at Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital include laser therapy, wellness exams, hospice and palliative care, oncology, preventive medicine, bloodwork, 24-hour emergency assistance, ophthalmology, pain management, and orthopedic surgery. This range of services enables pet owners in Winston-Salem and the surrounding areas to access anything from routine checkups to advanced medical procedures. It is a well-established clinic in Winston-Salem that offers services to help pets live happy and healthy lives.

On 3-17-18 we went to the Rowan County Animal shelter and adopted our sweet Lilo. We had scheduled to get her spayed this week, during spring break; however, I noticed her belly was getting big and fast. A week after I got her our girl went into pre-term labor. We were worried and called an after hours emergency vet (A DIFFERENT vet that we WERE going to go to) to make sure we were doing everything right and I was shamed for not spaying her. Even though I had told the vet... that she was newly adopted from the shelter, with no known history. After that call I called different vets on Monday to get her seen. The vet that was able to see us was Hickory Tree. From the moment I arrived I knew we had chose the right vet. A vet tech comforted me on leaving her. I was called by a Vet tech and updated on her care and then the Vet, Dr. Andrew Cope called and spoke with me for probably 10 minutes explaining everything and answering all of my questions. Thank you so much for caring for our sweet Lilo. We are so grateful and thankful for your kindness and care. See More Read Less

Today, January 27, 2012, I had my dog's first vet visit after adopting him. Dr. Jessica Stout and her staff were amazingly pleasant, polite, gentle and genuinely interested in caring for my dog. I'm a very intuitive individual and I felt very comfortable and safe with my decision to bring my pup to Hickory Tree. I understand that most people during this stressful economic time worry about affordability. I don't have much experience with vet cost, but their prices seemed reasonable. Their facilities were nice and clean! At this time, I have no complaints. I understand it'll take several more visits to get a true feel for this place, so if anything new comes up, I will make sure to follow up! Read Less

Read Less
