Great people. Dr. Emerson tells it like it is and doesn't try to pull anything with you. We had to, unfortunately, put our dog down but through this entire process, from nursing our back to health last summer from a car hit, to the end, this man and his team helped us through it. We still have our Bob and there's no other vet that we'd go to in the Triad.They are the real deal. :)

While shopping for a new vet I thought I would try Southside. The office staff appeared incompetent. I did not feel comfortable having my pet treated here. If you go here DO NOT waste your time filling out the new patient form on their own website. They only have you fill it again in the office. Mostly because the front desk didn't even look st what I gave them.

Diamond was adopted from a shelter and was sent to a clinic to get spayed. Although they were a good clinic t it was much too far from our house so we decided to take her to Southside to have her stitches removed. He would not do it the first time giving the excuse they weren't ready. The next time he removed them but found another excuse for an appointment. He kept coming up with appointment after appointment dollaring us to death. They were always kind, but very money hungry. I a.have met many others who have said the same thing. They profess to be good Christians, but don't behave like it. Too Greedy.

The vet gave the dogs pain medicine, but wouldn't do anything else without the payment and it turned out the dog had a broken back. He then recommended that they take the dog to animal control, where they would no doubt put him to sleep. This is a vet that doesn't care about animals.

When one of my precious friends had to go over the rainbow bridge, they were there to also hug and comfort me. I checked my baby mice (~5 weeks old) in the late afternoon going into Labor Day weekend and found that one had died overnight and another was very, very sick. I called around to see if anybody could manage to handle an emergency visit, and Southside was willing and able to do it. He was willing to see if it was possible to keep the mouse alive, though unfortunately the mouse only was able to hang on a few more hours.

Back in 2011 I was not a customer of Southside b/c I live an hour away but one day I brought my dog OSO to work with me and OSO became very sick. I raced to the nearest vet, OSO was 60 lbs. of dead weight and he was unconscious I pulled up at the front doors of the Southside Clinic and several staff members and Dr. Emerson rushed out, held the door and carried my dog in. They were working on him while they asked me questions. No time was wasted. They saved my dog's life. I now take both dogs to them. I trust them. If I take a pet in it's because I love my pet so why would I not want tests done if it will help my dog to have a happy healthy life.

Be sure to ask for an estimate up front because these folks will run up a bill on you mighty fast. My elderly parents brought their dog in because he wasn't eating and just lethargic. They ran test after test and prescribed several medications, totaling over $300. We ultimately bought a flea collar for $20 and he felt much better after a few days.
I even called back and gave them the opportunity to rectify the situation and they weren't interested.

I checked my baby mice (~5 weeks old) in the late afternoon going into Labor Day weekend and found that one had died overnight and another was very, very sick. I called around to see if anybody could manage to handle an emergency visit, and Southside was willing and able to do it. He was willing to see if it was possible to keep the mouse alive, though unfortunately the mouse only was able to hang on a few more hours.

They ran test after test and prescribed several medications, totaling over $300. We ultimately bought a flea collar for $20 and he felt much better after a few days.
